The Anointing With Oil

The sheep are resting on the hilltop as the shepherd is providing everything they need. But, there are still enemies and dangers that can come against them. When we receive Christ we also receive the anointing of oil in the person of the Holy spirit.
Anointing is God enabling us to do whatever He asks of us or whatever He wants to do through us. The Spirit of God reminds us of the truth, enables us to obey the truth and gives us the wisdom to understand truth. It is not enough to possess it we must also appropriate it...that is asking God to manifest the anointing that He has already given us. Appropriate it by faith and walk in it.
