Convinced or Convicted?

Are we convicted by the truth of God or just convinced it is true? Paul's dialogue with Roman Governor Felix exposes how the human heart evaluates the truth of God. He was quickly convinced of its validity, as Paul reasoned with him. But he then struggled with the huge implications it had for him, given his sinful life, choosing to excuse, and delay. Are we like this?
