The Wages of Sin is Death

Confession of sin is not enough. God's justice demands a penalty. Here is the inflexible nature of God's justice, Jonah must be cast into the sea, to death. And here is the free mercy of God, a large fish is prepared to swallow him. Here too is the enormous debt we owe to Christ who bore the wrath of God for his people.
