Countering Raging Nations

These verses show the utter futility of the nations plotting against God, nevertheless we see the persistent, self-conscious rising up of whole people groups who stand against God's comprehensive rule. God mocks the utter stupidity of this rebellion before pouring out His wrath upon them. The nations' rebellion is defined by their rejection of the Lord's King who has been placed upon the holy hill of Zion. God, from all eternity ordained but one ruler and one truth for all nations and their rebellion against this does not free them to live according to a different standard. The Anointed King is heaven's solution for rebellious nations.
