The Character of the Gospel (Part 3)

The thanksgiving of Paul, Silas, and Timothy should encourage the Thessalonians. The good news of rescue and deliverance from sin and God's perfect and just anger has come to them. It was faithfully and lovingly relayed to them but more than that it was relayed to them with a nurturing spirit. They can remember themselves how Paul, Silas, and Timothy worked among them for their good. This sermon calls us to also return thanksgiving to God for the display of this kind of love in the life of the locally gathered body of Christ.
