The Chief End of Man

Not only are we to glorify the Lord in the area of self-government (which is what American Christianity wants to reduce it all to), but we are to glorify Him in the other three great governments also - family, church, and civil governments. This sermon addresses all four.

Among other matters, the sermon queries the question - Do we teach our children how to live their lives in order to glorify Him in all areas of life? Or do we secularize our home? Teaching them these certain areas of their life come under the domain of Christ but these other areas come under the domain of the world? (This dualism - this pietism that is popular in American Christianity.) Or do we teach them that all areas of their life and all areas of life are to come under Christ's domain?

The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
