Lecture Five Understanding and Interpreting God's Word: Application #1

God's Word is holy, eternal, inerrant and holds absolute authority over all aspects of church doctrine, practice, faith and belief. It is not subject to science, culture nor any institution of man. As such the Word of God judges man, man does not judge the Word of God. God's Word judges all feelings, emotions and experiences. If God's Word says “YES” and we experience “NO” then we hold God's Word to be true and our experience to be false. If God's Word says “NO” and we experience “YES” then we hold God's Word to be true and our experience to be false.
