Defiling the Tabernacle

Just as God started with talking about discharges from a man that are typically related to sexually transmitted diseases and after dealing with normal bodily functions, He returns to dealing with symptoms that are typically associated with sexually transmitted diseases in woman specifically the discharge of blood outside of her normal monthly cycle. Just like with the man, while her physical uncleanness can spread through sin, the picture of the pervasiveness of sin is such that it spreads more broadly so even the bed she lies down on or the chair she sits on can spread the uncleanness. The only way that uncleanness can be cured is through the sacrifice of Christ which is represented by killing two birds, one as a sin offering and one as a burnt offering when she is healed. Then God reminds them why they need to do this. Because He is holy and His tabernacle is in the midst of them. If their uncleanness is not separated from them, then His wrath will break out among them and they will die.
