In Christ by the Gospel

Entering what we call the third chapter, Paul speaks of some personal matters. He begins the third and fourth chapters calling himself ""the prisoner of Jesus Christ...the Lord"". In 3:1 and 3:6, he refers to ""Gentiles""; that becomes the first unit of study. He claims God revealed the mystery of the gospel to him. He closes the unit speaking of the Lord's ""promise in Christ by the gospel"".
