The Voice from Heaven

Following his baptism in the Jordan a voice from heaven speaks to Jesus. The voice declares: "You are my beloved Son, in you I am well pleased." Although this story is often taken for granted, it is an essential part of the story of Jesus and God's plan for redemption. In this moment Jesus gains the certain knowledge of his identity and mission.
