Ephesians 1 and 19, we're going
to go read it from the Amplified Bible here. And so that you will begin to
know what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing
greatness of His active spiritual power is in us who believe these
are in accordance with the working of His mighty And that's what
James says in the book of James also. He calls him El Shaddai,
which he produced in Christ when he raised him from the dead,
seated him at his right hand in heavenly places, far above
all rule and authority and power and dominion, whatever angelic
or human, far above every name that is named above every title
that can be conferred, not only in this age, and world, but also
in the one to come, and put all things in every realm in subjection
under Christ's feet, and appointed him as supreme and authoritative
head over all things, even in the church, which his body, the
fullness of him, fulfills and completes all things and all
believers." Psalm 8 and 6 of Colossians 1 and 18. Let's go to Colossians, the first
chapter, also. Start with verse number four.
For we have heard of your faith in Christ. He's talking to the
church at Colossus. Christ Jesus, how you lean on Him with absolute
confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness, and of the unselfish
love which you have for all the saints because of the confident
hope of the experiencing that which is reserved and waiting
for you in heaven. You previously heard of his hope
and the message of truth, the gospel regarding salvation. which
has come to you indeed, just as in the whole world the gospel
is constantly bearing fruit and spreading by God's power, just
as it has been doing among you ever since the day that you first
heard of it, and understanding the grace of God in truth, becoming
thoroughly and deeply acquainted with it. You can see what Paul
wrote to the church at Colossus, what he wrote in what we call
the Ephesian letter. You learn from your representative,
Epaphras, who beloved fellow bondservant, who is faithful
and minister of Christ Jesus on our behalf. And he also has
told of us of your love and grounded and nurtured in the Holy Spirit.
For this reason, since the day we heard about it, we have not
stopped praying for you, asking specifically that you may be
filled with the knowledge, same subject that we're talking about
here in the book of Ephesians. and fervent love for his precepts. We pray that you may be strengthened
and invigorated with all power, what we're talking about in the
book of Ephesians, might attain every kind of endurance and patience
with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to
share in the inheritance of the saints, God's people in light,
for he has rescued us and has drawn us to himself through dominion
of darkness from the dominion of darkness and has transferred
us to the kingdom of his beloved son in whom we have redemption
because of his sacrifice resulting in the forgiveness of sins and
cancellation of sins and penalty. Do you realize how great the
power of God is to remove you from your sins? He is the exact living image
of the essential manifestation of the unseen God, the visible
representation of the invisible, the firstborn, the preeminent
one, the sovereign and the originator of all creation. For by him and
in him all things were created in heaven and upon the earth,
things visible and invisible. whether thrones or dominions,
rulers or authorities, all things were created and exist through
him, that is by his activity and power and for him. He himself
existed and is before all things, in him all things are held together.
He is a controlling cohesive force of the universe. He is
also the head and the life source and leader of the body, the church.
And he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that
He Himself will occupy the first place, that He will stand supreme
and preeminent in everything. For it pleased the Father for
all the fullness of Deity, the sum total of His essence, and
all His perfection and powers and attributes to dwell permanently
in His Son. And through the intervention
of the Son to reconcile all things to Himself, making peace with
believers through the blood of His cross. To Him I say, whether
things on earth or in things of heaven. And although you were
at one time estranged and alienated and hostile and minded toward
Him, participating in all evil things, yet Christ has now reconciled
you to God in His physical body through the death, in order that
to present you before the Father holy and blameless and beyond
reproach. And He'll do this if you continue in the faith and
well grounded and steadfast and not shifting away from the confident
hope that is the result of the Gospel that you have heard, which
was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which Gospel
I, Paul, was a minister. Beautiful words, huh? Beautiful
words. Beautiful truths also. Beautiful
truths. Now, the strength of God. The
power of God, the mighty power of God. El Shaddai, the all-powerful
one. Jehovah Savioth, the Lord of
armies. The Lord that loves us. John 3.16, for God so loved the
world that He gave His only begotten Son. That's the only way that
God could redeem you back to Himself, because no man could
do what Jesus did. And I said in a former class,
The disciples that knew Jesus, they honored Him. They did obeisance
to Him. They praised Him. They loved
Him because they knew Him. And if you are saved today, you
know Jesus. You know Jesus, too. He's the
same Jesus that called Paul, the same Jesus that calls you.
119 now. The strength and mighty, and
might and power of God. Now this is a hyperbole here,
which means an exaggeration. It shows you, it just exaggerates. And there are hyperboles in the
Bible. One of them is, it's easier to swallow, it is easier for
a camel to go through the eye of the needle. You can't go through
the eye of a needle. He also told Israel, he said,
you strain out the gnash, but you swallow down whole a camel,
which that's a hyperbole. You can't swallow down whole
a camel. You got to kill him and cut him up in pieces and
eat him. But it says they followed them down whole. It's easier for a camel to go through
the eye of a needle than a rich man to get into heaven. Those
are hyperboles. Kai, Conjunction, page 208, and
what the exceeding, excelling, surpassing, greatness. Nominous things in the present
participle acting exceedingly. Hyperbole. This word is where
we get the word hyperbole. It's hyperbolo. Hyperbole. surpassing, beyond reality, excelling,
greatness, megathase. You get a mega shake, you get
a mega hot dog, you get a mega french fries, it's some of these
places, that's where it comes from right there, that's it.
The greatness, megathase, megathus. The greatness of the dynamis,
of the power. This is where we get our word
dynamite. of the power of Him, belonging to Him, and the power
belongs to Him and comes from Him. It's a genitive and obligative
word also. Possessing it and the origin
of it also. The power of Him toward us, the
ones believing, toward us. That word ace there, that's extension
of the limitation of the thought of verbal action, page 119. I
got to get out a little Greek grammar here one of these days
and give you the idea of an ace out of here. It's the same thing,
extension of the limitation of the thought of verbal action.
If I can find it. I won't do it right The greatness of the power belonging
him unto the ones believing. That's accusative plural masculine,
present participle active. And girls, even though it's masculine,
it means you too. The ones believing. Constantly
believing. You know, once you come to the
knowledge of God and you believe and you accept Jesus Christ as
your savior, you continue believing. Because the Spirit of God is
in you, guiding you into all truth. Guiding into all truth. Unto the ones believing. Unto
the believing ones according to Kata, Thane, and Nanageon. The one energizing. We got a
word energy right out of this. You know, coal has got energy
in it. Light's got energy in it. Oil's got energy in it. They used to go whaling, and
the whale oil had energy in it. Kerosene, you get an Aladdin
lamp. An Aladdin lamp is a kerosene
lamp, but it has a mantle in it, and the mantle glows. A candle
has one count in candle power, which is one watt, okay? Aladdin lamp with a mantle on
it, it puts out 60 camel power, 60 watt light. And it puts out
7500 BTUs of heat. And it comes from the kerosene,
and there you have light and you have heat, both. Now he said,
the ones believing, according to the energizing, the operation,
enacting, you know, you can have a car out there in your yard,
Unless you've got a key to it, when you get in it and you say
go, it won't go until you put a key in it. God is the key to
our spiritual energy. We've got the key. All we have
to do is put it in and turn on the ignition. That's it. And
God energizes us, the energy of His might, Kartus, of His
might, of the strength, the isthus, it's using all kinds of every
Greek word available for strength here. Here, we'll look at it,
dynamos, the word greatness, hyperbolo, overbounding, we have
the word energizing, we have the word kratos, we have that
word isthus, of the strength of him. Paul uses every Greek
word to describe the power of God. The power of the resurrection. You know, the resurrection of
Jesus Christ is in the gospel. I say there is only one mode
of baptism. I've got a little book over here
that tries to tell you that baptism is just a rite, the word baptizo
here. And it was written in 1700-something
by Peter Baptist to try to say that that pouring and sprinkling
is as valid as Calvin did, as the real thing of baptism. All
people agree that baptism by immersion was the original form. It was not sprinkling, it was
not pouring. The word baptizo means to immerse. The word, if you go into the
Latin Greek lexicon here, This thing is written in 1766. And written in Old English too, by
the way. There it is. The word baptizo in Latin is
mergio. Right there. Right there. Mergio. Now we get our English
word. emerged from the Latin word Mergio,
which means to dip. Now let's look at the word baptism
for just a moment while we're looking at this. Baptism portrays
a death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. It portrays the gospel. You die. As Jesus Christ died
and was buried and raised again, then we die, we're buried, and
we're raised again unto the newness of life. That's it. That's baptism. in which He has operated, He
has energized, third person singular, perfect, indicative, active,
perfect tense, He has energized us in the Christ. He energized
us in Christ. Christ in you energizes you. Christ in you makes you want
to see other people believed and saved. You want to see them
believed and saved. Energizes him, accuses singular
mass in third person pronoun, out of the dead ones. Ek nekrom. When you go down here about ten
miles from here we have a graveyard. The Fish Lake Valley Graveyard.
And in that graveyard is a necropolis. It's a city of the dead. Now,
all those people are going to stay dead in there until Christ
raises them. In the rapture, he raises people. He raises the dead and the living
in the rapture and they're raised. The dead are raised and energized,
their bodies are re-energized and that is a fullness of redemption. See, you're not really totally
redeemed. You are saved in this life, you're
saved forevermore, but your whole person, your body, soul, and
spirit are not redeemed until the resurrection. Now, if you're
lucky to be here during the rapture, the first thing you see is the
dead coming out of the ground, out of these narcopolises. There's
probably dead people even in my property here someplace. This is old Indian ground here.
you'll see the dead rise in Christ. You'll just see them materialize
out of the ground. Even the ocean, can you imagine
being out there in the ocean in a ship and all of a sudden
you see people coming up out of the ocean, the dead, coming
up out of the ocean, just coming up like dolphins, except they
don't quit going up, they just keep going up. And then, those
that are saved, 1 Thessalonians 4, 16, 17, are chained as we
go up Our bodies are changed into the immortal, from the natural,
from the mortal to the immortal. Which he has operated, energized,
it's perfect tense by the way, in the Christ. God, only one
way that God's going to save you. That's in Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ died for you,
he was buried and he rose from the dead in a glorified form.
He was God in flesh again. He was the God in all glory in
flesh. The Christ, having raised him,
a Geras, that's Nominee Singular Mass in First Terrestrial Participle
Acting. Having raised him, that Auton
there is Accusative Singular Mass in Third Person Pronoun,
have raised him, out of, ek, page 121, out of, Dead ones, necron. Dead ones
means the necropolis, people that are buried, their bones
and flesh and whatever there. Whether you're embalmed and where
your body looks like it the same way you buried it 30 or 40 years
ago, when you're embalmed, basically the body is preserved. It's like
preserving peaches or ham or whatever. It's canned. And a
coffin is a hope chest. Because one day you hope that
that person will come up. But the hope is guaranteed. All
men will be raised. The lost and the saved will be
raised. The lost will be saved over here.
And here at the end of this. And they will be raptured because
these people are going to be living in their natural bodies.
They're going to be raptured or changed again. And then the dead,
the double dead will be raised from their lost bodies. They'll come up corruptible,
but forever in a corruptible form. Hell is worse than we can
ever imagine. Having raised him out of the
dead ones. Oblited plural. And, conjunction, having seated. Nominative singular masculine,
first direct part, sublacky. Having seated. in the right side,
in preposition, page 137 there, just like our English preposition
in our English language. In the dexios, the right side.
The right side is the power for all the power and authority is
in the right side. Right side of him. in the heavens, in the heavenlies,
in and above all heavens. Number 121 now. Hyperanno passeis
arches cae exsusias cae dynamios cae chirotetos cae pontas onomatos
onazumenu umonon ento AYONAH, TUTOH, OLAH, KAI, ENTOH, NELON, TI. This is quite a verse of Proverbs.
Number 21, this is quite a verse. Every title that you can think
of, and he's writing it against this. Now, Jehovah Witnesses,
you're listening to this, he's writing this against you. You're a Gnostic? He's writing
against you. Because this verse right here
tells us that Jesus Christ is God. He always was God. And it
tells us all of His powers. Jesus is Jehovah Shamanai, the
Lord with us. He is Jehovah Ro'eh. He's the
Lord Jehovah, our Shepherd. He is El Shaddai, the Lord Almighty. He is Jehovah Ro'eh. Jehovah, all the Jehovah titles
that are in Christ Jesus. We read it twice, it's so beautiful,
we're going to need to read it all the time. Hyperano. It comes from hyper
and ano. It means far above. Of all, passe, genitive singular,
of all arcades, of all rules. rulers, rule and rulers, and
authority, exousia. By the way, the word exousia,
Jesus in Matthew 28, 18 through 20, he said all power in heaven
and earth was given unto him. And he told the church, as you've
been kicked out, make disciples, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
guard with the lives all things that I have taught you. I hand
it down to you. And that is a translation from
Greek, by the way. far above all rule and ecthoria
exousia. Exousia means eck. It means out
of it is what it means. Out of it. Out of it. Out of it means that there is
no limits. Unlimited power and unlimited
rule. No limits. Authority means no
limits. Jesus said no limits. All authority,
no limits were given unto me in heaven and upon the earth.
And power, and dynamis, dynamite power. Here's another word for
power. Dynamite power and karyotetos, lordship. This is dominion. This is the word Adonai in the
Hebrew language. Adonai ha-Adonaiim. Jesus is
called Adonai ha-Adonaiim in Revelation. 19 and verse 11 onward. Here we have the glory, the Lordship
of Christ. When Jesus Christ rose from the
dead, He was over all things. As I told you in a former message,
we ought to honor, we ought to reverence Jesus. When we take
the Lord's Supper, it doesn't come to us as some blessing doesn't
come to us. We are blessing the Lord Jesus
Christ that saved us and died for us and rose from the dead.
In that Lord's Supper, we thank Him, we honor Him, we glorify
Him. We don't get anything back. We
remember Him. We praise Him. Exousia, and dynamis,
and lordship, dominion, and every onomatopoeia, every name. The
word name there is also a word authority. When you sign your
name on something, that means that you give your authority
and whatever contract it is, you say that I will follow this. In every name, being named, onomatos,
that means authority, onomizemon, being named, that's present participle,
passive voice, genitive singular, neuter. In every name being named,
uc not adverbication 294, only, not only, in the age. In the age, that means the time.
This means the season, this season. If you look here, behind me,
on all these times, we had the age of innocence, incidentally,
with Adam in the garden. And then we had the curse of
death, and we had the age of conscience, we had the flood,
we had the human government established, And we have the confusion of
language and the division of the earth. These are all ages,
okay? And then we have the age of promise
with Abraham. Israel is called out from Abraham. We have the Egyptian bondage.
We have the law given. And then we have the church age.
Not only in this age, in this time, this age, Aionia, To-o-ni-o-ni-tu-to. Not only
in this age that all of them is locative singular, locative
singular, locative singular, demonstrative pronoun. And then
we have an ola, that's a strong aversive conjunction. But, also in the one coming, in the
age coming. Not only in this age, but in
the age coming. In the Church Age, there's going
to be a Tribulation Period, there's going to be what we call the
Kingdom Age, and then the Eternal Ages. Jesus Christ will be Lord
with authority over everything through all of these ages. El Olam, the God of the Ages,
the God of Eternity, the God of Mysteries, Misterion, The
secrets, the God of secrets. As many people used to say, when
you die you go into the great mystery. You go into the great
mystery above. Psalm 10 and verse 1, Leviticus
3 and 2, 2 Kings 4, 27, Matthew 13, 11, Ephesians 1, 9 and 10,
and 3, 2 through 6. Hebrews 20, Hebrews we have also. All of this, the God of the ages.
God's eternal purpose. This chart here shows you God's
eternal purpose. And He is the God in every age. He is the God of the Bible. He
is the God of Heaven. He is the God of Earth. He is
the God of the Church Age. He is the God of the Abrahamic
Age. He is the God of all of these. Verse number 22 now. hypetoxin, hypo, toos, podos,
auto, chi, auton, edokon, kefalane, hyper, ponta, cane, arte, ecclesia. And all things, the one consummating
all the ages, about to come and the ones who
were behind, the ones, the ages about to come. And all things, and all things He stood under
and subjected. All things will be stood under
and subjected to Him. Third Person is He and the First
Christ and the Dignity of Active. Hippo, Tosso. All things in all
period of time, will be subjected to Jesus Christ under the feet
of Him. Hippo, that means under, page
417. And then tus podos, the feet
of Him, podos, we have a podiatrist, you go to a foot doctor, that's
a podiatrist, that's where you get it right here, podos. Under
the feet of Him, belonging to Him, genitive, singular, masculine,
third person pronoun, alto, And, conjunction, page 208, and in
him, accusative, singular, masculine, third person, pronoun, and in
him, he gave, headship, he gave, third person, singular, first
person, dignity, and this was at the very point, the very point,
when Christ came into this world, he came into this world as a
servant, he came into this world to die, he came into this world
to live, A life that was perfect so mankind could see what a perfect
human would do. That's how perfect you have to
be if you're going to get to heaven without it. But since
no man ever did that, you can't get to heaven without Jesus Christ.
Not the purest Pharisee, Paul. He was unspotted, he said, according
to his religion, but he said, I wasn't good enough. And Paul,
the apostle, couldn't ever stop praising Jesus, the one that
saved him. He said, He saved me, a worthless one, one that
was aborted. Born out of time, he was aborted.
He was an abortion. He was on his way to hell. And
Paul reached and grabbed him up. He reached and grabbed Paul
up and set him on his feet and he said, Who are you, Lord? And he said, Jesus, whom you
persecuted. What would you have me do? When Paul found out that
he was going the wrong way, he turned around abruptly, without
face. If you go to Damascus, go over
there to a man, Ananias, and you go over there and you're
going to be baptized. And when you're baptized, you'll
be able to see again because God struck him blind because
he was blind. All of you out there without Jesus Christ are
blind. When God saves your soul, He opens the heart of your soul,
the eyes of your soul, so you can see how wonderful and glorious
He is. Jesus is God. Jesus is our only
one and only Savior. He gave Him the headship, the
kafale, the kafale, over, hyper, over and above all things in He gave him over all things in
the church. There are many churches out there
in the land, but Jesus called out his church in his personal
ministry and he said he'd be here always until the end of
the age according to Matthew 16 and 18 and 28, 18 through
20, Ephesians 3, 21. Indisputable head of the assembly. Not Calvin, not Luther, not the
Pope, none of these here, not Joseph Smith, not Muhammad, all
of these did not start God's church. The Lord started his
own church. And some of these churches, you'll
hear some truth. But if you want to hear all truth,
you've got to go to the truth. Because all of it is kind of,
it gets a little foggy here, a little foggy there. But I pray
that God will open up the eyes of your soul to see the truth. Because the truth will set you
free. The administrator of God's kingdom
today are His true New Testament churches. The administrators
of God's kingdom today are His true New Testament churches.
And they are the ones that have the keys to the kingdom. It's
not the Pope. It's not anybody else. The keys
to the kingdom were given unto the church, the Ecclesia. The undisputable head of that
church is Jesus. And that church will be, from
now on, that church will be in close contact, immediate contact
with her Savior. Now, in the world today, we have
the church, we have the family of God, and we have the kingdom
of God. The kingdom of God is what the church is doing, the
administrator in the kingdom right now. The family of God
are all of those that are saved. There are many saved people in
many churches. I have a hard time in Jehovah's
Witnesses, the assembly halls, and in the Mormons to find a
saved person. But there possibly is. Possibly,
but you've got to believe that Jesus Christ is God. You've got
to not believe that He is a God, but He is God. And that He died
for your sins, and He rose again, and there's no other God beside
Him. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
dwelled in Jesus on this earth. 123 now. Hētis estin tō soma, autu tō
plērōma, tū tā pānta en pāsēn plērōmenu. This assembly, this ekklesia,
is the body of Him, the body of Christ. Let's go to the word
church there, ekklesia, for just a minute. It comes from ekk and
kalio. It comes from two Greek words,
the preposition ek and kalio. Ek and kalio. Kalio means I call. I call is what it actually is. And when it's called the ekklesia,
it means the one's called out. When did Jesus begin calling
out His church? When did He do it? At the seashores
of Galilee. He called that church out there.
had a treasurer in it and it had a clerk in it. It had members
in it. That church baptized believers.
That church took the Lord's Supper with the Lord before the day
of Pentecost. A lot of people start the church on the day of
Pentecost but the church was already there. What happened
on the day of Pentecost is that the church was empowered. The
church was there already. And it says Hathas here. That
is a strong relative pronoun, which she is, third person singular
present, the body, the soma, the body of him. The church is
the administrator of God's kingdom in the world today. We have the
saved, the family of God, we have the church, the legitimate
churches out there that are really administrators of God's kingdom,
and then we have the kingdom. The kingdom is that which God
rules over. We have the kingdom of Satan now and we have the
kingdom of God. The kingdom of Satan is ruled by Satan and his
emissaries wherever they are in false religion, whatever they
are in the world today. But the kingdom of God is ruled by his
church today. They are responsible for it.
The fullness of the pleroma, the fullness of the all things,
the things all, ta ponta, the things all, in all things, He
is fulfilling. Genitive, singular, masculine,
present, participle, passive voice. If anybody is saved in
God's churches, if you are saved out there by listening to these
messages, which I preach the gospel in every one of them,
if you are saved by that, it is not me. It is Jesus Christ
working through His church There are so many religions in
the world today, people are so confused. Satan's done a good
job of confusing, just making it look like a mess. One of them's
got to be right, huh? One of them traces its lineage
back to Him. One of them that practices the
right kind of baptism, with the right kind of authority, the
baptism, dipping, not rontizo, not sprinkling, not nepto, pouring,
but baptizo, a baptizing to dip. You dip him. You dip someone
in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and
you do it in the name of Jesus Christ, and you're dead. It's
a death, burial, and resurrection. You don't get a death, burial,
and resurrection in sprinkling porn. You get a death, burial,
and resurrection only in immersion. The body, the church, is his
purchased possession. It's a twice-blooded people.
You've been blooded as you are in the family of God, and then
you're double-blooded in the church. The church is only of
the Lord Jesus Christ, the only ones that can practice the Lord's
Supper in all reality, and the only ones that can practice real
baptism. And when you practice the Lord's
Supper, you're not getting anything from it. It is not a rite that
transfers grace to you. It is not a vehicle of grace.
You worship God. You praise God when you take
this cup and this bread. You take the cup and remember
His body. You take the cup and remember His blood and you take
the wafer or the bread, morsel of bread, and you remember His
body. He died for you. That body was
dead, and he went into a grave, and then he rose again. Death,
burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our Father, we send this
message out for your honor and glory today. Please use it wherever
it goes. Please honor yourself in it.
Please, we lift up our Savior. We praise and we honor Him in
everything we do. Please forgive me where I fail
you. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
