Passing the Torch

As David passes the torch to Solomon, he exhorted him to be strong and courageous. (If you are fully aware of the Lord's presence with you, you can be strong and of good courage.) David set his affection and desires on God's house; his heart was in building it and he gave his treasure for the building of the house of the Lord. In his prayer, he points us to the greatness of God and his desire for his people.
