It is our privilege to show the kindness of God to people with disabilities.

  1. The kindness of God was shown to the household of King Saul, David's fiercest enemy, now fallen, and even to a person who was disabled. (v.1-5)
  2. Kindness was shown in order to fulfill a promise to David's best friend. (v.6-8)
  3. Kindness was shown to a man with a disability, restoring his honor, providing his daily needs, and absorbing the inherent risk of Mephibosheth (or his son Mica, or servant Ziba) becoming another Saul/threat. (v.9-13)
