It is our privilege to show the kindness of God to people with disabilities.
- The kindness of God was shown to the household of King Saul, David's fiercest enemy, now fallen, and even to a person who was disabled. (v.1-5)
- Kindness was shown in order to fulfill a promise to David's best friend. (v.6-8)
- Kindness was shown to a man with a disability, restoring his honor, providing his daily needs, and absorbing the inherent risk of Mephibosheth (or his son Mica, or servant Ziba) becoming another Saul/threat. (v.9-13)
