Cleansing a Poor Leper

In this passage, God repeats much of what He said in last week's passage about the sacrifices needed for a leper to be cleansed, but He demonstrates that it is not about what you have that shows you have been cleansed. We do not buy cleansing from God. The person who can only provide one lamb and two birds for the offering is just as cleansed as the person who can provide all of the animals that picture the cleansing. Their picture of their deeds being remade through the blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is the same as for those who have more. This false concept was widespread when Christ came to the Jews, but it is still widespread today as the prosperity "gospel" has spread through the world.
