My salvation is secure, and yours is too. I hope that you can rejoice by knowing Him today as your Savior, and if you don't, that before you leave here today, you certainly will. I want to invite you to turn with me to the Gospel of John, Chapter 3. As I prepared the message this week, I wanted to give you most in the church is on the first Sunday of the year do what's called vision Sunday that has resonated in my heart all week for us. I want to see this church continue to grow, not just numerically, but spiritually, as we get closer to the Lord, closer to one another, as His return gets closer, that we are more diligent about going outside these walls, into our community and beyond, to reach people with the gospel. And so, the word that has resonated in my heart this week for us, for myself, is the word selfless, or as you can see, self-less. I believe that as we approach this new year, as the church grows, as more opportunities become available, our goal has got to be more of Him and less of us. and so I wanna look at a story in the Gospel of John chapter three and I want us to begin at verse 22 and I'm gonna ask if you're able to stay with me one last time as we read in reverence God's word we're gonna read verses 22 to verse 30 this morning John chapter three verse 22 to 30 After these things, Jesus and his disciples came into the land of Judea, and there he remained with them and baptized. Now John also was baptizing near Anon, near Salem, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized, for John had not yet been thrown into prison. Then there arose a dispute between some of John's disciples and Jews about purification. And they came to John and said to him, Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he is baptizing and all are coming to him. John answered and said, A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves bear me witness that I said, I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him. He who has the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled. He must increase. but i must decrease father we thank you today lord for this opportunity to be in your house to celebrate this new year in the thank you for all you've done at k russo baptist church and a look expectantly forward at what you're going to continue to do through this body of believers in this coming year lord thank you wonderful salvation that you have provided through Jesus Christ and the opportunity to serve him each and every day. As the text says and as I say each week, Lord, my prayer is that I would decrease and that you would increase. And may that be the prayer of every person in this church this year, that we would make you known and get ourselves out of the way to do that. And we give you all the thanks today in Jesus' name. Amen. You may be seated. I want to read to you a portion, a short portion of a scripture that I found this week from John MacArthur, who I use quite often in my studies. And I want you to listen to this, especially how he ends this paragraph. MacArthur writes these words, quote, All human ministers are like night stars, stars who appear in the darkness. They're flickering light, not enough to light the world. They fade out as the sun rises. Ministers are like those night stars who fade out of sight as the sun arises. As churches defect, as churches fall into apostasy, they think less of Christ and they make more of their ministers. So they keep elevating and elevating and elevating and elevating until it becomes bizarre. As the sun goes out, the stars appear in the darkness, but not enough to dispel the darkness. To the decaying corrupt church, the sun has gone out and the stars have ascended into the blackness of the sky. In a truly holy church, a true church, the church, listen to this, makes little of the ministers and much of Christ. And the Son Himself shines so fully and so brightly in a starless sky that His glory fills everything. The more you see of Christ, the less you see of the minister. He must increase. I must decrease. Listen to this last sentence. And I want you to not just think about John MacArthur or even Pastor Chris. I want you to put yourself in this sentence. How horrible someone were to say I came looking for Jesus but John MacArthur got in the way how horrible would it be if I came looking for Jesus but Chris Theobald got in the way how horrible would it be if I came to K Russo Baptist Church looking for Jesus and and someone in this room or watching online got in the way. May it never be the case that we are the cause of anyone seeking Christ to be turned away. May that be our prayer this week, this year, to think of ourselves less. I want to look at kind of the lead-in, if you will, of these verses again as we get into the main context this morning. I read to you verses 22 through 30, but 22 through 26 is really the setting of things. And I want you to notice what was taking place. Great things were happening in the ministry of John the Baptist and of Jesus. People are flocking to them to hear the message. People are flocking to them to be baptized. It's a successful time in ministry for both of these men. And I would say that the previous several years, but especially last year, has been a very fruitful and successful season for K. Russo Baptist Church. I believe we have seen blessings upon blessings from the Lord Jesus Christ. But I want you to remember this and never forget it. When the Lord is active and moving, so is the enemy. He will take notice of the Lord's glory and try to rob it for himself. And in the midst of baptisms and salvations taking place in the life of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, notice what happens in verses 25 and 26. There arose a dispute. All of a sudden, their eyes get off of the success of the ministry and they start to worry about who's got the biggest following. See it? Let me read it to you again, verse 25. There arose a dispute between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purification. The word dispute might not be a strong enough term. They were about ready to go to blows, is what that word in the Greek means. They were seriously at each other's throats about this issue. And look at what happens in verse 26. They came to John and said to him, Rabbi, he who was with you, that being Jesus, beyond the Jordan, the one you've been telling us about. They ought to have been excited about this. John's been preaching to them, repent, the kingdom of God is at hand. This is the Messiah. Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. It's not like they didn't know who this guy was. They ought to be rejoicing. But notice where their attention is. He is baptizing And everybody's going to Him. We're losing our support. We're losing our crowd. They're going to the church down the street. What are we going to do about it? Do you see how easily, when we get our eyes off the mission, how quickly disputes and quarrels will arise? And it's always over something secondary that doesn't matter. it's always over something that has nothing to do with the kingdom of God. Sure, do we want to see this church grow? Amen. But if there's a church down the street that's preaching the true gospel and making disciples and they're baptizing more than us, praise God. We're on the same team, guys. We're serving the same master. We can't get our eyes off of the Christ and off of the mission and start focusing on things that we think ought to be happening. Now again, there's valid concerns. You can always come to us with an idea, a suggestion, a concern, a worry. We're not saying that's wrong at all. We want to hear those things. But that's not what this is. This was a dispute. This was pride getting in the way of things. And so as they differ, they begin to bicker between the two sides that were on the same team. There's a quote that I've seen many times over the years, and I've always tucked it away and remembered it. It says, you never shine brighter by blowing out someone else's candle. You'll never shine brighter. Listen, if you've got a ministry and someone else has got the same ministry and you begin to attack that person thinking that by doing that it's going to help your cause, I'm telling you that the Lord will not bless that type of action. You would be far better to celebrate them, encourage them, support them, pray for them, and let God bless your ministry as you do so. I want you to see that situation and I want to make that application to us here at this church in the coming year. Because as we grow, as we've already grown, and as I believe we'll continue to grow if the Lord parries and blesses us in such a way, there's going to be more people coming into this church. There's going to be more people being saved, new believers in this church that will need discipled and mentored and cared for. There's going to be more kids and more youth and more seniors and more needs for Sunday school classes, small groups, discipleship groups, men's groups, women's groups. We've got some amazing teachers in this church. We've got amazing leaders in this church. but one person can't do it all. I'm thankful for the men that God has placed in this church and in my life that I am able to lean on and ask for help or just some time to time be able to sit and get myself fed while they preach or take care of some of the duties of the church. We need that. It would be no good for me to stand up here and say, I am the pastor, this is my pulpit, nobody preaches but me, nobody teaches but me, nobody does anything but me because that's who I'm supposed to be. In the end of the day, all I'm going to do is burn myself out. I'm not going to give the folks that God has called in this church an opportunity for them to grow and use their gifts. They're going to get discouraged and leave. And at the end of the day, the church will not flourish as it should if we're selfish about me, me, me. We've got to think of ourselves less and think of the body as a whole and think of Christ as the head. And what we have to do above all things to do that is to guard all of ourselves against jealousy. You say, there's not a jealous bone in my body. It's in there. It's in there. There's a lot of bones in the human body, and one of them that everybody has is the jealousy bone. At some point, it's in there. And so, how can we guard our hearts against jealousy? What can we learn from John the Baptist today that will help K. Russo to be selfless, or selfless, think of selfless, in the coming year? I want you to see this. Number one, we need to see the big picture. We need to see the big picture. Look at verse 27 again with me. He says, John answers and says, a man can receive nothing. Last week we talked about without abiding in Christ, we can do nothing. We've got to abide in him to be able to do this life, this spiritual life. Now he says that nothing can be received from a man unless it comes down from heaven. Every gift that we receive comes down from the Lord. If you are serving or thinking about serving, or I'll take it a step further, if you're saved, you have a gift. You may not be using it, you may not have recognized it or found it yet, but you do have a gift. And that gift has been given to you directly from God. He has given you that gift to use and serve in a local church to glorify Him and to build up the body of Christ. You have a gift to use. So, when you use that gift, you don't get a trumpet out and blow it and boast and brag about how awesome you are, because the gift that you are using was given to you from God. There's nothing in that gift that you can brag about. When I stand and preach and teach, it's because God has gifted me to do so. I am not a preacher or a teacher by heart or by human nature. This is something that God has given me, and to the best of my ability, I want to be faithful and a good steward of it, because it's not mine to keep or to boast in, and neither is yours. So I want you to think about your own life today. Even if you don't know what your spiritual gift is, think about what skills, what talents that you had when you were lost. God doesn't remove those skills and talents when you get saved. He just redirects them. If you played music in the bar, now you can play music in the church. If you were a generous giver to all kinds of secular things, be a generous giver to the church and spiritual things. Just redirect the focus of where your love used to be, if you will. If you have the ability to teach and play music and sing, that's a gift from God. Use it for Him and His glory. If you have money, praise His name for that and use it to build the kingdom of God. If you have a ministry in this church that you are currently active and involved in, it came from God. Use it for Him because as quickly as God's given you those things, He can take it away. I have seen some of the most gifted pastors with huge churches, congregations, budgets in the millions of dollars, lose it all just like that. It's gone. I have seen people get proud and arrogant and run off everybody that God had put in their path. because they did not stay humble, they did not think of themselves less, they did not glorify God, and in the end they made a shipwreck of the church, their faith, and their ministries. In Psalm 106, verses 14 and 15, the Bible says, speaking of the children of Israel, in the wilderness, their desires ran wild. Testing God's patient in that dry wasteland, look at this. So He gave them what they asked for, but He sent a plague along with it. Be careful what you ask for. God may give it to you, but He may tack on a little something extra that you didn't ask for. And the former will be much worse than the latter, I can tell you that. So keep the big picture on God and His glory. Not yourself. Because if all ministry comes down from heaven, we don't have any right to be jealous of what someone else is doing. Because their gift is from heaven too. If God's gifted you, rejoice. If God's gifted them, rejoice. We're on the same team. Just like John, just like Jesus. Don't be like the disciples that started to worry about who had the bigger following. Just rejoice that people are following Jesus. What vessel they're using is insignificant, because that's all we are. We're just a drinking glass that's poured out for the Lord. If they drink out of this cup, or they drink out of that cup. Makes no difference. As long as they're getting refreshed in the Lord. Let's be thankful. So, see the big picture, and number two, secure, or be secure, in who you are. Look at verses 28 and the start of 29. He says, John says you yourself bear me witness that I said I am NOT the Christ, but I have been sent before him He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him Rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. What are we saying there? How can we apply that to us today? I would say it this way every single member of Caruso Baptist Church matters and All of you are valuable and vital to what we want to accomplish, what God wants to accomplish here at this church. But there's only one Master. There's only one God. There's only one Lord. And it's not any of us. Again, we are all members of the body. We all have a role. That's why when you are not here, the church just does not function as it should. You say, well, I don't feel like I do anything. I don't do anything. I'm insignificant. Well, again, you may need to find your purpose and get plugged in, but don't think for a moment that you don't matter to this church. God brought you here. He's led you here. He wants to use you here. And when you don't fulfill your calling, the church as a whole is not able to function as it could. What are you doing? what God wants you to do. And so, think about John the Baptist. If we had a room full of 100 people, he would have been the last guy that any of us probably would have picked out for any kind of public ministry. We would have wanted to keep him behind the scenes where nobody saw this rough-looking guy with camel hair, eating locusts and wild honey, with a big beard and probably didn't smell all that good. He would not have been our choice to put up here on the platform and preach the gospel. That would have not been the guy. I can tell you right now, I'm being honest, I would not have chosen that guy. I would have said, that's a bad PR image for the church. We don't want people to think that Kay Russo has dirty, smelly, locust-eating guys on the platform talking about, Jesus, let's get somebody that's a little neater, a little more articulate, and let's put that person up there, right? Because we always focus on what we can see. Again, our judgmental attitudes all rise up sometimes, and we're like, eh, oh, hmm, not that one, not that guy. And that's how we would have thought about John, I have no doubt. I'm not saying we don't care about people like that. We minister to the homeless and all that. I'm talking about in a ministry setting in church. We would have been a little bit hesitant. But notice what Jesus says about this John that we would have said, oh, I don't know. Matthew 11, 11. The first part of that verse says, Jesus says, assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women, there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist. Jesus' opinion of this ragtag, rough-looking guy was he's one of the greatest men that's ever lived because John was faithful, John was humble, John was obedient, John was called, and Jesus used that man to carry out his purpose. It doesn't matter what anybody thinks of you and your appearance, your abilities, your past. If God has a call on your life and you will simply believe and be obedient, God will do great things for you. He will. He's done it all through the Bible. Every character in the Bible was all messed up. They weren't great in and of themselves, they just had enough faith to believe that God was who He said He was. And they stepped out and did what He called them to do. And God got the glory because they were all messed up. And people knew, this isn't this guy, it's gotta be the Lord working through him, there's no other explanation. It's gotta be the Lord working through her. There's no other explanation, you see? And so, Jesus says, or notice this first in Luke 22, 24, Again, I want you to see where all of our hearts can go if we're not careful and why we need to guard against this. Luke 22, 24. There arose a dispute among the disciples. There's that word again. As to which of them should be considered the greatest. Again, in the midst of all that Jesus is doing, they're having a popularity contest. They're trying to figure out which one is going to be numero uno in the kingdom of God and in the service of Jesus. And anytime you get yourself elevated too highly, God is going to knock you down a few notches. He's going to bring you down a few notches, but In the meantime, you can leave a wake of devastation behind you. Because those actions will affect your family, your church, and your friend group. I can promise you that. So guard your heart against that propensity to get too puffed up and to think too big of yourself. Okay? Because Jesus said of John the Baptist that he was the greatest of all men born among women. But notice what Jesus says in the second half of that same verse, Matthew 11, 11, the second half. But he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is. Jesus said, John is the greatest, but if someone comes along that is lesser than in character and attitude, he's greater than him. Imagine that. We see the life and ministry of John the Baptist. It's recorded in us in Scripture, and we can see how greatly God used him. But someone in this room or watching online who decides to humble themselves enough and get out of the way and let God use them will be greater in the kingdom of heaven than even John the Baptist. That's amazing to even think about to me. Astonishing to think that God could take someone like any of us and elevate them to a place greater than even John the Baptist by our humble service. I think that's a worthy goal to shoot for. We might not hit that mark, but I think it's a good goal to aim for. To be great in the kingdom of God is to be lesser than anyone else. Be secure in who you are and who God's called you to be, and you won't get puffed up and worried about what you're not doing or what anybody else is doing. Number three, I want you to see that the success of others is celebrated. If you want to root jealousy out of your heart and think of yourself less, celebrate others' success. Notice the second half of verse 29. He says, therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled. John didn't say, you know what, guys? You're right. I've been out here in this hot, Desert in this nasty clothes eating bugs and honey for a long time and because of all this now Jesus is getting all the accolades Jesus is getting all the people he's getting baptized his disciples are getting baptized more than we are that doesn't seem fair You're right. I should be upset. I should file a grievance. I That's not what he says at all. He says, I am just the bridegroom, and I've been waiting for the bride to come, and I'm excited that he's here, and I'm excited to see what's happening, and it gives me joy just to hear his voice. It gives me joy to see what's happening in the ministry of Christ, who I pointed people to. Listen, when we preach Jesus and people are saved, We ought to rejoice. If somebody else preaches Jesus and they get saved, we ought to rejoice. Because the kingdom is growing. That's souls that aren't going to hell anymore. And we ought to be happy about that. God gifted us. He gave you and me a call. Just focus on that. And let's not get caught up in what anybody else is doing, unless it's to rejoice and celebrate them. Because joy, I can promise you this, joy will come into your life from being obedient, not from getting a pat on the back. We all like a pat on the back. I think it's important sometimes to just recognize people, I try to do this and you try to do this, and say thank you for whatever it is that gets done in this church. I realize these things don't just happen by accident. The garbage doesn't just roll itself out to the curb. The mail doesn't just walk into the building. The carpets are swept and cleaned. The garbage is dumped. All that stuff happens because people serve and give their time. And I want to acknowledge that and say thank you and try to recognize the people that do that even though they don't do it for an accolade. But you won't get true joy from me standing up here saying thank you. you'll get true joy from serving Jesus and doing what He's called you to do. He will bless you far greater than any gift card or card that I can give you. for the service that you've done. Okay? Listen to what he says in Matthew 6, verses 1 and 2. Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men to be seen by them. Otherwise, if that's why you're doing it, you'll get a reward. Watch. Otherwise, you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, a good work, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets. They may have their glory from men, but assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. That's what you'll get. If you want a pat on the back, you'll get it. If you want an applause from man, you'll get it. But if you want to be honored by God, get yourself out of the way, don't sound the trumpet about, hey guys, look what I did today. God saw what you did. You don't have to get your iPhone out when you're serving at the homeless shelter and take a film of somebody getting fed by you. God sees what you're doing, feed that person, love that person, do it for the Lord, and you will have treasure in heaven for your efforts. And I promise you will have much more joy by doing it that way than trying to tear someone else down or trying to make yourself known. Okay? And lastly, I want you to see in verse 30, that as we put ourselves and think of ourselves less, When that attitude prevails in ministry, we will see the Lord continue to bless. And God, this is a quote from Charles Swindoll. A lot of you may know him, his television and book ministry. He says this, Envy begins with empty hands, mourning for what it doesn't have. Jealousy begins with full hands, but is threatened by the loss of its plenty. Envy is when you see what other people have and you want it. Jealousy is when you have more than perhaps you want, and you're so controlling that you won't let anybody else have a part of it. You serve in a ministry and if someone else says, hey, I'd like to do that, I'd like to help with that, I'd like to serve there, and you're like, no, no, that's my ministry. I already do that. You find something else. That's jealousy. There's a difference between envy and jealousy, but they're both deadly. He says, envy is when a peer is promoted. A newcomer passes you on the way up the corporate ladder. When you're a senior sitting on the bench and a sophomore is in the starting lineup. When a new business starts up and overshadows yours overnight. Jealousy is when loyalties shift, when close friends abandon us for others, when retirement comes and our authority is handed to a replacement. Jealousy and envy are like muggers in a dark alley waiting to do us in, rob us of our joy, work us over, and leave our spiritual lives for dead. Are you going to let it happen to you? The only way to stop it is to walk down another street. A well-lit street of humility. A street lit not by its own light, but by the light of another, whose sandal we are not worthy to untie. What a great example. And I'll close with this thought for all of us. Self dies hard. I'm going to say it again, self dies hard. If you think just listening to this message and taking a few notes and saying amen is going to give you the victory that you need over your flesh, I've got news for you. You're in trouble. You've got to die daily, Paul says. You've got to put on the whole armor of God and wear that constantly in this fight against the enemy and this war against our own fallen flesh. It's a battle every day, guys, but it's worth it if we want to see the Lord glorified in this church continue to flourish. We have got to think of ourselves less. We've got to say, He must increase and we must decrease. There was an old Puritan by the name of Richard Baxter, great preacher, and written some wonderful books. He was on his deathbed. And someone came in, the story goes, and they were remembering all the good things that had been done by Richard Baxter in his preaching. And Mr. Baxter looked at him and replied with these words, I was only a pen in God's hand, and what praise is due to a pen? What a great way to look at our lives. We're just an instrument that God is using. Praise Him that He would find us worthy enough to pick us up as a pen and write any little story in this grand thing called life. What a wonderful way to look at it. I thought about, I'm going to invite Brian and Kara to come. I want to give you this illustration as they come. I'm not a hunter, but I know a lot of folks that hunt. And I know that just about any hobby that you get into is an expensive hobby anymore. But hunting can be very expensive. You get the best guns, you get the best bow, you get the best camouflage, you get all of these things. to go hunting. You put out cameras, you put out corn, you do everything. You work all year long for a few weeks in the winter to sit out there in the cold and hope that a deer walks by. Right? I know enough about hunting to know that little bit. But at the end of the day, it all boils down to this one thing as I thought about this for this message this week. The only way, no matter how good your gun is, how good your camo is, how great your trail camera was, the only way that you will ever truly get a deer is to keep yourself out of sight. If you run around that field like an Indian with a gun running around, you ain't gonna get a deer, are you? No. You've got to hide in the blind or hide in the tree stand, cover up. You spray the scent on yourself so it doesn't smell you. You've got to get the wind direction right. I mean, there's a lot that goes into this thing, you know. But at the end of the day, the way you get the deer is to stay out of sight, to stay hidden in all this thing. And I thought about it. That's how ministry ought to be, too. We ought to just stay out of sight and let the Lord work. And the more that He does, the more glory He gets. And at the end of the day, we'll get our reward someday. But if we want to see people come to Christ, if we don't want to be a stumbling block, if we don't want jealousy to rise up in our hearts, let's work on just getting ourselves out of the way. And let's say in 2025, man, we want to see this church grow and I want to be a part of it. But it's not about me. It's not about my ministry. It's about the church as a whole. And I'm going to celebrate with everybody that's part of this church and whatever their ministry is. In 2025, Church, the word for us, I believe, is selfless, or selfless. And I pray that we will humble ourselves and take John 3.30 as our verse. He must increase, and I must decrease. and they'll ask you know the lord jesus is a it's gonna take a humbling of yourself so you know what i'm here today carry so if i'm being honest my life is almost a And you've got to humble yourself today and say, I need Jesus. I need him. He's the only one that can forgive me. He died on the cross for my sins. He rose again three days later, and he is who I need. And that takes humility and faith. But if you will step out with both of those this morning, he will save your soul. He will make you new, forgive your sins, and write your name in the Lamb's Book of Life. If you want that today, you can have it. And I encourage you to come as we sing this invitation in a moment. And if you're a believer here today, and you're not doing what God wants you to do, how about make this first Sunday in 2025 the day where you humble yourself enough to say, Lord, I'm ready to be used by you. Wherever you want me, however you want to use me, I'm just available, and I'm going to do whatever you want. I'm scared, I'm uncertain, but I'm willing to give it a try. Watch what God will do in your life. We'll give this invitation when you come. Father, we thank You this morning, Lord, just for this year, this church, the blessings, and most of all, we thank You just for Your presence, for Yourself in our life. Lord, I pray now as we give this invitation that You would work in our hearts and our lives, help us to confess our sins, help us to answer the call in our life, help us to encourage and support one another, and most of all, help us to devote and give our lives to Christ so that He can use us for His glory. All this I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. As we stand and as we sing, we've got folks at the altar that will pray with you if you need them to. But you've got to make the decision to come. Trust Him today. Step out in faith. Give your life to Him. Serve Him with joy and gladness. Join this church here and get involved. What's your need? Think of the love that He has for you. He would send His only Son to die for your sins. He did that for you. Will you live for Him? Has your pride been an issue? Has it been in the way for too long? Come and lay it down. He must increase and I must decrease. Ask the Lord to help you with your prideful, jealous attitude. There's no shame in admitting it. There's healing in admitting it. Trust Him to do it. My sin on His shoulders. Your sin on His shoulders. That's what He did for us. We'll sing one more verse, no one comes, we'll close. No gifts, no power, no wisdom. But I will boast in Jesus Christ. His death can resurrect you. What should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer, but this I know it for. His words have paid my ransom. Why should I gain from His remorse? I cannot give an answer, But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom Amen. Thank God that He was willing to do that for us today. You may be seated. We've got a few announcements this morning before we close the service out today. Some things that are coming up. Not working. Okay, well let me try to remember what those announcements are. I know that we've got the baby bottles out there, so that is to support the Oxford Women's Care Centre. Please, if you take one, make sure that you get those back to us by the end of the month. You can put change, cash, or checks if you write a check. make them out to the Oxford Women's Care Center, not Kay Russo, and everything collected goes to support and stand for life as they are on the front lines up in the community of Oxford. If you have questions, you can see Jamie. She would be happy to answer any of those for you. And as January is Right to Life month, Right to Life Sunday is coming up in a few weeks, we wanted to take the whole month and try to promote and stand for that. We want to do that year-round, but we wanted to make a significant emphasis in January so we're showing the film the 1916 project on January the 18th that's a Saturday at 630 please invite your friends families and neighbors to come out and see that film it is powerful it is needed and necessary and I hope that we can have a full house that night to see that that great film and to pray about what God's doing in the right to life movement I know that I believe it's the 22nd on a Wednesday. Marsha has set up another time for serving. That is at New Life Mission at 9 o'clock. Be here at the church and they will be heading down to the mission again to serve and pack lunches and all those things. I know not everybody can make that due to work, but if you're able to, there's a sign-up sheet out there and I know she would love to have you be a part of that ministry. It's wonderful to get down there and serve with the good folks at the mission. So that's Wednesday the 22nd, okay? Is that all of them? Did I miss anything? Is that in the bulletin, Robin? I got it here. So, New Life Mission, they're collecting, where do you see that at, Robin? I don't even see it. On the front, ah there it is. New life mission, hats, gloves and mittens, scarves, socks, chapstick and travel size lotions. So take that list with you, pick that up. Is that for the whole month? 21st, alright if I could read I would solve that. The 21st we'll be collecting those, okay. Men's and women's group are tentatively supposed to start back on Tuesday. We will give you a final say on that, depending on how the parking lots get and everything. As you leave here today, just watch your step on the parking lot. It does get a little slick. Don't want anybody falling down. Take your time going home and be safe. Thank you for being here. Thank you for watching online. I pray that as we go into this new year, guys, that we take this message to heart and we live it every day. OK? Let's stand to our right. George, did you have something? Go ahead. I'm sorry. 6 through 12 next Sunday. Make sure you sign up for the bake sale, that's a big deal and we can get a variety of things going for that big fundraiser. Anything else, George? Is that it? All right, so be here next Sunday for service, for Sunday school. Oh, speaking of Sunday school, I want to let you know that I've been praying about this. I've talked to my wife. The first Sunday in February, her and I are starting a brand new Sunday school class for young adults. So that will be ages 18 to 30. My wife and I will be doing that. It won't initially be in a book. We're just going to tackle some issues that I know that age group faces. So please, if you're 18 to 30, come out and join that class. I've already talked to Darryl. He'll be getting some guys to help teach in my absence out here. Don't let that stop you from coming to Sunday school. I'd love to see everybody get plugged in and be a part of that, okay? With that being said, let's stand on our feet. Be safe going home. We love you, appreciate you. Brother George, will you close us out this morning in prayer? Thank you.
