1. Christ gives His special love and redemptive sacrifice to His Church

2. Christ purifies, perfects and nurtures the Church through His grace

3. Christ cherishes and nurtures the Church as His own body
   a) By giving to His church those with gifts
   b) Through the members of the church, who constitute the bride, ministering to one another
   c) By His constant intercession
   d) By communicating His own life to us
