Alright, Oh PVC online a ministry
of old past Baptist Church in Northfield, Minnesota, and we
are live here it is it's it's Christmas and I'm working overtime
I'm working holidays here. I I'm working holidays and what
I've what I've been told what I've been told is That That Holiday pay is double time. It's like double
time and a half or something. I don't know. I've never been
paid it before. So I'm just, I just, I just found out from
some serious sources that that's, that's double time on holidays,
man. Right? So, and I'm working double time
today. Right? Cause I got my broadcasts here
at 2 p.m. and then I'm preaching tonight
at 7.30. 7.30 p.m. So, I'm working double
time on a holiday, double. Huh? Anyway, well, I hope you're all
doing well. I could see that 19 of you are
watching on here, 30, 30 over on Rumble, 31. Let's see if anybody is on. Four people over there on, Sermon
audio. Right? All right. Now, I've got an update
for you. I try to follow the Lord when
God leads me in doing his work. And the more I've studied the
dissenters in London and the surrounding area, in England. I just do not believe that I
will have time to go to Scotland. I just don't believe I will.
I don't believe it's God's will for me to do that right now,
for us to do that. I believe that God wants us to
focus on London and the surrounding areas. Bristol, definitely Bristol. And I don't know if we'd have
time to cross over to Wales right there. I don't know. But really,
I'm telling you, London, the prisons that are there, Bristol,
Litchfield, Keech's Meeting House, Bedford, There's a lot to do. Bun Hill, there's a lot to do. And I think I would be stretching
myself far too much. And it might not be nice to the
women's. And that Hispanic guy told me
when I was preaching last year, you be nice to the women's. You
be nice to the women's. So, I think I would be pushing them
too hard. And also, I don't believe I can effectively
do that in 10 days. I do believe by the grace of
God that I can do London and the surrounding area in that
10 days. I do believe that. I do. I believe that narrowed focus will
make a better, will make a better documentary,
will gather better information. My mind will be more focused. And I can get through the material
that I need to get through. And I just, God just really nailed
me on that today. When I'm, I'm reading some books
on the dissenters and I have been the Baptist. I'm reading
something on the Baptist right now. Oh my goodness. I'm going to read this. I think
I'm going to record it in a studio, have Andrew record it, crisp
it up, and I'm going to use it along with the footage. Okay? Over in London, because it's
phenomenal. I'm reading it and how the Baptists
were treated at that time. And I'm reading the dying words.
By the way, here's another thing out of this. Remember when I
told you, look, if you can tell I'm excited, I always am, but
I am excited about this. I was reading Bun Hill, the book
on Bun Hill, I was reading it last night. And I started thinking about
the dying words of the dissenters. Because Bun Hill Memorial has
a lot of, it has a lot of dying words of the dissenters in it. And I was talking to my daughter,
Mandy, about it, and I'm gonna have her compile the dying words
of the dissenters. And we're gonna make a book of
that and produce that book off of this. So not only is it
gonna be the documentary that we do, but we're gonna work on
the dying words of the dissenters. And we're gonna produce that
book and make it available. Glean from these resources, pull
them together and put them in a book. And she was pretty excited about
doing that. And I think, because they're
moving. I'll be reading some of them
on site in London. But it is absolutely amazing. So there is so much, and I can
see the Lord's leading in this. And I mean, January's next week. Next weekend, literally, we've
got like 60 days to go. February 5th, March 5th. We're there. So we got a lot
of work to do. So you pray for us. As we continue to put all this
together, I mean, every night I'm reading for like two hours,
just this, not the other stuff. And then I got, today I started
reading, hold on a second, I'll show you. I'm telling you, I am so blessed.
I have so many resources that God has provided me. between
the collection that I've done for 20 years myself, and between what Brother Scott
and others have given me over the years, just phenomenal things. But you know what I found out?
I was shocked. I thought I had Joseph Iveme's
four volume set on the history of the English Baptist. I don't.
I have Thomas Crosby's four-volume set on the history of the English
Baptist. So I have Scott hunting around
right now for the four-volume set, The
History of the English Baptist by Joseph Iveme, who, by the
way, is buried in Bunhill Fields, Bunhill Memorial, okay? Anyway,
this book I'm reading right now tracks on liberty of conscience
and persecution by Edward Underhill. amazing. I'm reading through
this and I'm like, this is it. This is the kind of opening I
need to do before I get actually to the, when I get started reading
some of this, it's phenomenal on the times that these men lived
in. It's just phenomenal anyway. So, It's, it's something. Now, if
you haven't watched our video yet, that explains kind of what
we're doing. Hey, look, a penguin. I think
that's what that was. It is somewhere around here. Right there. 2025 documentary
trip. Okay. So we will be focusing and staying
around London and England. It's just the best way to do
it. And you pray for us as we do that. Brother Ross and Claire
are gonna be meeting us. They're gonna be driving over.
Ross is gonna be driving over. Him and Claire. They'll be meeting
us. We'll be taking the train to a lot of places probably.
Or the tube. The tube. Mind the gap. And we'll be taking The train possibly to some places
too. We'll see how it goes. If we have to rent a car, we
can do that too, or rent a vehicle. I don't think we're, we probably
won't have to that much. But anyway, we'll figure all
that out when the time comes. But anyway, so with a narrowed
focus, I can get accomplished with what I believe the Lord
is sending me over there to do. And it's simpler. wiser and we'll
also be able to enjoy ourselves and not not push ourselves to the max
traveling around and trying to meet a time limit that would
be very difficult to meet, I believe. So this is wisdom and I have
to use it. I've got to do when God sticks
something in my gut and tells me this is what you need to do.
I got to follow that and, uh, and use wisdom. And that's what
I'm doing. So anyway, that's the direction
we're going to go as we refine everything, you know, over the
next, over the course of the next, you know, two or three
weeks, we'll be refining things and narrowing things down and
putting things and brother Ross is going to be helping me with
that. And Harry's going to help over there with that. So, you
know, we're going to be. working on that and everything
like that. So you pray for us. And by the way, if you can give
towards this, instead of putting something in somebody's stocking,
well, you can give for this. And anyway, if you'd like to
give, you could do it through PayPal, that is salvationpreacher
at gmail.com. You can give through Venmo, pastorcoolieaticloud.com,
or you can give through Apple Pay. You can text that number
952-210-2935, all right? Or Cash App, which I don't use
a whole lot because that one dude says it's just, it's just
ghetto app is all that is, but anyway. But also, I do have Coinbase
if anybody has cryptocurrency. Also, but if you can't do anything,
you can pray for us. I know you can do that. You can pray for us and ask God
to bless us. And you know that he truly will. And that God would
meet our needs and take care of us. All right? So be in prayer for
us. Am I checking my list twice?
I am, I'm checking it. I haven't found my double overtime
yet, Luke. Right? I haven't found my double overtime.
Still looking. Okay, so let me say hi to everybody
on here. Gregory Pace. You get the honorable mention
here on Rumble. Gregory Pace. Teresa. Daryl and Teresa. Daryl and Teresa
are there. Although, Daryl and Teresa did send us
chocolate bombs, just so you know. I didn't know there was
a such thing as chocolate bombs, but if you're gonna get blown
up, what a way to go! Huh? Getting blown up by chocolate. Now that's the way to go. If
you're going out, go out getting blown up by chocolate. Huh? That's amazing. And Joey Mac,
he's here. Marshall Mama's here. Mary's
here. My wife is here. This is Bicey. Andrea. Frank reads books 21. Well, good
for you, Frank. You should read some books. Baptist
Not Ashamed. Luke Bicey. Okay. Let's see, who's over on YouTube?
Who's on YouTube? Hey, my wife's on YouTube also.
That's weird, they're on double, doing double time here. Gregory,
Teresa, Carl. Carl's over on YouTube. Gregory, let's see, Pilgrim Lady. America Montes de Dosa is here. Big Whale. Big Whale. And Andrea's over there too.
People working double overtime here. Ross Duncan. Nilta mims. I don't know what
a nilta mims is. Is that a name nilta nilta? And jacob working double overtime Work a double overtime paying
for corn cob. Okay. I'll flip back and forth depending
on what I'm doing. Ah, okay. So there's 50 over here almost
on rumble. 19 over there on YouTube. And nine on Servant Audio. Yep, Frank reads book said I
used to watch you on YouTube, but I found rumble a lot better
to find you on Because they were blocking you for a while. This
is true This is true they still like
to block me in fact I got I got a warning the other day and they
want me to go to re-education camp and They gave me a warning the other
day and said, you're going back to re-education camp. And I was like, look, I ain't
getting on the bus. Whatever you do, don't get on
the bus. All right? Whatever you do. Never let him take you to a second
location. It's not going to turn out well. All right. Just make him kill you right
there. All right. Okay. All right. Well, I guess we better get going
here. Although none of you have anything
to do today. Second Corinthians six. Let's get started. Why we don't
observe Christmas. Cause you might wonder why don't
you observe Christmas? Maybe you don't wonder, maybe
you don't care, but that's okay, I don't either. I'm gonna tell
you anyway. So, 2 Corinthians 6. We need to talk about separation. Here we go. Be ye not unequally
yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship hath righteousness
with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light
with darkness? And what conquered hath Christ with Belial? Or what
part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement
hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the
living God. As God has said, I will dwell
in them, and walk in them, and I will be their God, and they
shall be my people. Wherefore, come out from among
them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean
thing, and I will receive you, and I will be a father unto you,
and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 1 Corinthians 6.15 says, Know ye
not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then
take the members of Christ and make them the members of a harlot?
God forbid! You know, there are many reasons
to abstain from the observance of Christmas. One main reason
is that we can't find it in the Word of God anywhere. And I marvel sometimes as to
why that is not enough for Christians. Why is that not enough for them
just to say, well, you got a point there. Maybe I should rethink what I'm
doing with this holiday. Right? I think the first main reason is nowhere in the scriptures
are we told to observe Christ's birth. We're not told anywhere in the
story of Christ's incarnation to worship him through his birthday. There's not one verse in the
Bible that directs us to do such things. In fact, Our worship is strict,
to be strict according to Scriptures, and we're commanded to follow
the Bible. Turn to John chapter 4. But verse number 23, Jesus said
in verse 22, you worship, you know not what. We know what we
worship for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh and
now is when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit
and in truth. For the Father seeketh such to
worship him. God is a spirit and they that
worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. So, the rules of worshiping God are to worship Him in spirit
and in truth. That's the principle that we're
to live by. In our worship, It's to worship him in spirit
and in truth. You know, that's important to
remember because it's a guiding principle through all of our
worship. It's a guiding principle through
all that we do is that we worship God in spirit,
and in truth. That's our guiding principle,
right? That's what leads us. That's what guides us, is that
we worship him in spirit and in truth. That should be what
guides you. That should be what makes you
say, you know what? That's what I should be doing.
I should be worshiping God in spirit and in truth. Very important. Very important principle to remember,
isn't it? Is it not? That that's what God would have
us to do? Is worship Him in spirit and truth. You know, there's literally no
record of Christmas observance before Rome's apostasy. That's another important point. Big Whale asks the question,
I don't know why contemplating on the nativity is wrong. Well,
first of all, the nativity is not generally right. The nativity
that is put out by Rome and put out by most Protestants is not
even accurate. It's not even the nativity. Most nativity scenes are not
even scripturally correct. Most nativity scenes do not follow
the Bible. They follow man. Right? Most of them don't. That's important to remember. Christmas was not among the earliest
festivals of the Church. It was not celebrated, commemorated,
or observed neither by the Apostles nor in the Apostolic Church,
not for at least the first 300 years of Church history. It reveals
that about 440 AD the Church at Jerusalem commenced the celebration
of Christmas following the lead of Roman Catholicism. Thus the Babylonian mystery religions
were introduced by Constantine. beginning in 313 A.D. and established
a foothold with the holding of the Council of Nicaea in 325
A.D. The Constantine-led Roman Church
was more than willing to adapt and adopt pagan practices in
order to make Christianity palatable to the heathen. Constantine used
religion as a political tool totally devoid of any true spirituality. Pagan rituals and idols took
on Christian names. Jesus was presented as the Son
of Righteousness, replacing the sun god Horus Temus Sol Invictus. Pagan holidays were reclassified
as Christian holidays. Although Malachi 4.2 calls Jesus
the Son of Righteousness with healing in his wings. We know
that, but those pagan gods were modeled after the scripture,
or they ripped off the scriptures. and took what truth it is about
Jesus being the son of righteousness with healing at his wings, and adapted that to paganism,
right? Pagan holidays were reclassified
as Christian holy days. December 25th was the victory
of the Sun God Festival in the pagan Babylonian world in the
ancient Roman Empire. The celebration can be traced
back to the Roman festivals of Saturnalia, which honored Saturn,
the Harvest God, and Mithras, the God of Light. Both were celebrated
shortly after the winter solstice, between the 17th and the 23rd
of December. To all ancient pagan civilizations, December 25th
was the birthday of the gods, the time of the year when the
days began to lengthen and man was blessed with a regeneration
of nature. Moreover, all of December 25th
Babylonian and Roman festivals were characterized by a five
to seven day celebration period of unrestrained promiscuous revelry
and licentiousness. Okay. Let me get back to my other note. Because I believe we don't, one
of the reasons we don't, the second reason we don't observe
Christians, biblical Christians, and the reason why our church
doesn't observe Christmas is because we maintain separation
from Rome. We do not mix our religion, our
worship of Christ in a ceremony or anything with Roman Catholicism. Rome is the harlot church. She's
the false church. She's the woman that rides the
beast. You know, 11 months out of the year, even the staunchest
Baptist will hammer on Rome and its wicked apostasy. As well,
they should. But for one month, they abstain
from doing so and join in the festivities of what they call
Christmas. I want you to think about the
name Christ Mass. Where does the name Christmas
come from? Christmas is a compound word originating in the term
Christ Mass. It is derived from the Middle
English christmasi, which is from Old English christismasi,
a phrase first recorded in 1038, followed by the word christismasi.
in 1131. Christ the genitive Christus
is from the Greek Christos, a translation of Hebrew Messiah, meaning anointed. It's from Latin. The celebration
of the Eucharist to form Christmas was also historically used. A celebration of the Eucharist. Wait. Really? Yeah. The form Christenmas was also
historically used, but it's now considered archaic and dialectical. It derives from the Middle English
Christenmas, literally Christian mass, or Xmas is an abbreviation
of Christmas found particularly in print based on the initials
chi, which is X, or chi, which is X, in Greek Christos. The X means Christ. Though numerous
style guides discourage its use, it has precedent in Middle English. And exos masse, XO is an abbreviation
for another word that I can't pronounce. In other words, X
mass is supposed to be Christ's mass. Right? It's supposed to be Christ's
mass. It's what it is. So the Catholic Church sees the
Mass or Eucharist as the source and summit of the Christian life,
to which the other sacraments are oriented. The Catholic Church
believes that the Mass is exactly the same sacrifice that Jesus
Christ offered on the cross at Calvary. Wait, you mean if I say Merry
Christmas, I'm saying Merry Christ's death? Yeah. What do you think a mass
is? Mary Christ mass. Wait, Mary
Christ death? Mary Christ perpetual death?
I thought Christmas was about his birth. What a bunch of witchcraft. Mary Christ mass? Mary Christ
death? Right, what is the mass? Well,
you don't observe the mass, do you? Mary Christ death. How many Baptists and Protestants
would continue to do that if you walked around and just said
the meaning of the word, right? Right? Okay, Webster's 1828 Dictionary
says, the service of the Roman church, the office or prayers used to
celebrate the Eucharist, the consecration of the bread and
the wine. So is that what you believe too? Well, let's see, the Mass is
the central liturgical service, not liturred, I didn't say liturred,
liturred, liturgical, liturred, no, liturgical. The Mass is the central liturgical
service of the Eucharist in the Catholic Church in which the
bread and wine are consecrated and become the body and blood
of Christ. Hold the phone. So when I say, marry Christ,
Mass, that's what I'm saying? Marry Christ, death? Marry Christ,
turning magically delicious? I'm turning the body and the
blood, the bread and the wine into the body and the actual
blood of Jesus? And I'm pulling him down from
heaven? Wait, what does that have to
do with his birth? Nothing! But hey, go ahead and shoot the
messenger and get mad at me, right? All I did was look at it, use
my God-given brains. Right? Just using my God-given brains. Say, well, I don't believe in
Mary Christ's Mass. So, first of all, I don't see
it in the scriptures at all. So that's why I don't observe
it, number one. I'm not commanded to. What am I commanded to do?
Remember the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Christ.
Biblically, not through the Mass. And that's through baptism and
the Lord's Supper that I remember those things. Jesus told me specifically how
I'm to remember him. I mean, let me show you something. Actually, no, I wanna show you
something else. Jesus said, if you love me, keep
my commandments. Okay? So then he said, in Luke, turn to Luke chapter
22. And I'm gonna, I'm just gonna keep teaching you anyway. We
got another hour, whatever. I'm skipping around my points
and having all kinds of fun, but that's okay. I can do that,
right? It's all Bible. It's good. It's good for you. Luke 22 19. Now Jesus said, if
you love me, keep my commandments. Wait, let me go to one more verse. He said, this is my commandment,
that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love
hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Okay? Now let's go back to Luke 22. What did he command you? Luke 22, 19. And he took the bread and gave
thanks and break it and gave it, gave unto them saying, this
is my body, which is given for you. This do in remembrance of
me. Jesus told you how you are, how
he wants, he commanded you how, if you are his friend, how you
should remember him. Now do you think it's important
to remember Jesus, how he commanded us to remember him? And he said,
if you're my friends, if you love me, keep my commandments. And you are my friends if you
do whatsoever I command you. So how would you like it if If you remembered, if your friend
or your mom or your dad said, I want to always be remembered
for this, but you remembered them for the worst thing that they
ever did in their life, which that doesn't apply to Jesus because
he never sinned. Or you remembered him, you remembered
your friend in a way that one of his haters
wanted you to remember him. So in other words, you're remembering
Christ in an anti-Christ way. Do you think that brings honor
to God? When Jesus said, do this, this doing remembrance of me,
I want you to remember me in the Lord's supper. I want you
to remember me. In baptism, I want you to remember
me this way, but you decide to remember him in a different way. It's about separation, friend.
I don't remember Christ the way Rome does. I have nothing to
do with the mass. We're gonna observe the Lord's Supper on
Sunday, and I'm gonna preach on it tonight, but we're gonna
observe the Lord's Table on Sunday. And when I administer the ordinances
to the local New Testament church, Old Past Baptist Church, I'm
not turning the bread into his actual body. And I'm not turning
the wine into his actual blood. Neither am I practicing consubstantiation,
like the Lutherans teach, where the spirit of God is in the blood
and the wine, or the blood and the body. No. Neither do I observe Christmas
because I don't observe the mass. Because I have no truce with
Rome. I'm not yoked with the harlot.
God forbid that we should yoke with one who is an unrepentant
murderer of the brethren, who shed the blood of our forefathers
to sit down with them while El Papa tells you a Christmas story.
No thanks. No thanks. Revelation 18. And honestly, this is the first
time I've really talked about it this whole season. Because
to be quite honest with you, I haven't had any time. I haven't really had time to talk
about it. Got a lot going on, so haven't
really had a lot of time to really deal with it. Nor did I really
feel led to besides today. I was like, well, might as well
do it today. Amen. Praise the Lord, we have 60 over
here on Rumble. And we have 25 over on YouTube. 13 over on Sermon Audio. Okay, Revelation 18.2, And he
cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon, the greatest
fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and
the hold of every foul spirit, and the cage of every unclean
and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the
wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed
fornication with her. And the merchants of the earth
are waxed rich through her abundance of her delicacies. And I heard
another voice from heaven saying, come out of her, my people, that
you be not partakers of her sins, that you receive not of her plagues.
Amen. Revelation 18 5 for her sins
have reached unto heaven and God hath remembered her iniquities I'm not having it's about separation
friend. I'm not gonna yoke with Rome I'm not yoking with Rome. I'm
not gonna worship with Rome See God's gonna pour out his
wrath on them one day. And God Almighty is calling his
people to come out of her, my people. Come out of pagan Babylon. Right? You think about this for a second.
The word, let's, let's talk about the word Christ mass. It means
death. Let's talk about that again. Right? The word mass means
death and was conjoined originally by the Roman Catholic church
and belongs exclusively to the church of Rome. The ritual of
the mass involves the death of Christ and the distribution of
the host. A word taken from the Latin word
hasteo meaning victim. Charles Chinoquy talked about
that, how Rome takes the host and they literally take control
of Jesus. And they have power to bring
Jesus down from heaven and crucify him afresh. What's Hebrews say about that?
Let's look at it. If they shall fall away, to renew
them again unto repentance, seeing they crucified themselves, the
Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. That's what
they do, isn't it? They put him to an open shame. So, you know, the Roman Catholic
Mass is performed by sacrificing Christ over and over again. Is
that something you want to be yoked up with? You have to ask yourself that
question. You're like, man, you're really ruining my fun. Well,
you shouldn't have fun doing evil. You shouldn't have fun sinning,
right? If your fun consists of sin,
you need to get something new to have fun with. Correct? It's about separation, friend.
Not only separation from Rome. What about separation from the
world? There is such a grave danger
in confusing an already confused people. The world is dead in trespasses
and sins. See, some people look at Christmas
as a way to get churchy, a way to get the world churchy, right? They're like, you know what?
We'll get the world churchy. Let's do that, let's get the
world churchy. You're not gonna get the world
churchy. You're just gonna make the church more like the world.
That's what's happening. You make the world, you make
the church more like the world. Okay, let's turn to John 15. These things I command you that
you love one another. Verse 17, if the world hate you,
you know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of
the world, the world would love his own. But because you're not
of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore
the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said
unto you, the servant is not greater than his Lord. If they
have persecuted me, and they will also persecute you. If they
have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. Question for you, my dear brethren.
Has the world began to love Jesus? Does the world love the Jesus
of the Bible? Well, I don't know. They sure
do pay him lip service, don't they? Yeah, but Jesus said the
world hates Christ. Has that changed? Here, let's see. of the United States, it's my
tremendous honor to finally wish America and the world a very
merry Christmas. For Christians, this is a holy
season, the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. More than 2,000 years ago, the
angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. He said, do not be afraid. You have found favor with God. The angel told her that she would
give birth to a baby boy, Jesus, who would be called the Son of
the Most High. Nine months later, Christ was
born in the town of Bethlehem. The Son of God came into the
world in a humble stable. Whatever our beliefs, we know
that the birth of Jesus Christ and the story of this incredible
life forever changed the course of human history. There's hardly
an aspect of our lives today that his life has not touched
art, music, culture, law, and our respect for the sacred dignity
of every person, everywhere in the world. At Christmas, we give
thanks to God and that God sent his only son to die for us and
to offer everlasting peace to all humanity. And we recognize
that the real spirit of Christmas is not what we have. It's about
who we are. Each one of us is a child of
God. There you go. Each one of us
is a child of God. No, that's not true. That isn't
true at all. but the Jesus that he worships, the Norman Vincent Peale Jesus, right? The one that accepts everybody, the one the Pope preaches, the one Cardinal Dolan preaches, the Jesus of the world. Right? That Jesus, they love. Do you understand? The world
hates Christ. That's why they hate it when
we preach Christ. Jesus said, remember the word
that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his Lord.
If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they've
kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things
will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know
not him that sent me. See, that's not the same Jesus. Look what he said. If I had not
done among them the works which none other man did, they had
not had sin. But now have they both seen and hated both me and
my father. But this come at the pass that
the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law. They
hated me without a cause. The world hates Christ. You can
go back and listen to that sermon that I preached many, many years
ago. The world hates Christ. Hates him. So when they gather around and
they act like they love the babe in the manger, it's not the same
one. See, the babe in the manger doesn't
offend them. It's the Lord. It's Jesus Christ, the Lord that
offends them. It's the preaching of the cross
that offends them. It's the foolishness of preaching
that offends them. 1 John 2.15 says, Love not the
world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man
loved the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride
of life is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the
world passeth away in the lust thereof, but he that doeth the
will of God abideth forever. Where is the separation with
the world? How can all these people that hate the preaching
of God's word, that don't about the baby in
the manger, but hate the Lord of glory. Right? And this is the condemnation
that light has come into the world and men love darkness rather
than light because their deeds were evil. You see, they wanna focus on
the babe in the manger and mischaracterize Christ's coming. They wanna mischaracterize Christ's
coming. because it doesn't bring them
any conviction. But it's the preaching of the
cross. It's the scandal of the cross that brings conviction. You know,
we don't observe Christmas because we practice separation from the
world. I don't worship God with the
world. They don't know how to worship God. The Lord's church
worships God in spirit and in truth. We don't worship God with the
world. We don't worship the Lord with
the world. because the world hates Christ.
Just start preaching Christ in the public square and you'll
realize how much the world hates Christ. Preach the Jesus of the
Bible. Preach the Jesus that is called
all men everywhere to repentance. Right? Another reason that we don't observe Christmas
is because we should be separated from covetousness and idolatry. You know, these are some older
statistics, but many people that are giving out of being forced
through some tradition, that it's not giving from the heart.
You know, some 45% of those polled a while back said the holiday
season brings so much financial pressure. but they would prefer
to skip it altogether. Almost half said their level
of stress related to holiday expenses is high or extremely
high. You know why? Because the same
45% of people say they do not expect to have enough money to
set aside to cover holiday expenses. Did you know that, you know,
InfoWars did a statistic many years ago and said that 90% of
Americans celebrate either Christmas, Kwanzaa or Hanukkah. 90%. And Christmas in particular has
become virtually synonymous with materialism. Years ago, the figure was that
Americans would spend nearly $600 billion. With interest,
what do you think it is now? Most of the money will be spent
on Christmas gifts. The average person will spend
nearly $800 on Christmas gifts. That was back then. I bet you
it's like $1,500 now. People are wholly given over
to materialism, charging money on credit cards for things that
they can't afford. Racking up interests that they
can't pay back. Buying gifts for people they
don't even like. Right? They're buying gifts for people
that they don't even like, spending money that they don't have. So why should you be a part of
that destruction of your nation and of your economy, of just
your own wellbeing and send the wrong message to your children?
Are we not to teach them to be good stewards and not to rack
up credit card debt and borrow for things they don't need and
still can't pay off the next year? There are literally people that
will be paying years on credit card interest of like 25 to 30%. High interest rates, paying triple
what something is worth. Why should we be a part of that? Why should you and I? you know, be a part of that commercialization,
that materialism, that really, that what it leads to, you know? Why should we? Shouldn't we be separated from
that? Shouldn't we not have anything to do with that? It doesn't honor
the Lord, none of it does. How does getting stuck in the
commercialization, spending more money than you have, racking
up debt, how does any of that have anything to do with celebrating
Christ? It doesn't, friend. It doesn't have anything to do
with it. It doesn't have anything to do
with it. It's just an excuse to spend
more money. It does nothing to help anyone. Here's another one. How about
the separation from this weird thing that you hear, the spirit
of Christmas? The spirit of Christmas. It's like, what in the world
is the spirit of Christmas? I have no idea. The Bible says in 1 John 4, let's
go there. Let's go there, 1 John 4. Beloved, believe not every spirit,
but try the spirits whether they are of God, because many false
prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby I know you the
Spirit of God, every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ
is come in the flesh, is of God. Where did that come from, the
spirit of Christmas? I see the fruit of the spirit
of Christmas, and it's not the spirit of Christ. One Christmas,
I read a newspaper article written by a reporter who had been searching
for the meaning of the Christmas spirit, said one. When he concluded
his quest, he rated this answer as the best. It's in your heart. It feels warm and glowy. You
can't buy it, and you can't get it from anybody else. Really? It's the spirit of Christmas,
you can't buy it. It's real warm and glowy. Is
that like a burning in the bosom? Like the Mormons practice? Here's
what Rosemary the psychic medium said. So here we are again, my
favorite time of year, Christmas, that magical time of Santa, toys,
children, trees, tinsel, elves, and Rudolph, carols, and turkey.
It was the night before Christmas still sends thrills of delight
as I think of my child waiting for Santa to come down the chimney
a long time ago now. and magic truly in the air, the
true spirit of Christmas. Whether you celebrate Christmas,
Hanukkah or something else, perhaps even a different God, the lesson
here still applies to you. This lesson is about the spirit
of giving and receiving. So whether you celebrate Christmas
or not, celebrate with me this Christmas time and take this
month's lesson or apply it to your festivities, whatever they
may be. We know that Christmas is a time for giving and receiving,
a time to remember others less fortunate than ourselves, peace
in the world, a time for families to end their quarrels and come
together, a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. We know
all these things and we know that this also is the true spirit
of Christmas. Wait a minute. So Rosie, the psychic medium is telling you she has the spirit
of Christmas and she really likes it. Right? Are you in the spirit, people
say? Oh, you just need to be in the spirit. Well, there are two primary spirits
in the world. There is the Spirit of God, and there's the Spirit
that now worketh in the children of disobedience. Ephesians chapter two. And you hath he quickened who
were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in times past ye walked
according to the course of this world, according to the prince
of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the
children of disobedience. Among whom also we all had our
conversation in times past, in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling
the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature
the children of wrath, even as others. That's the spirit that now worketh
in the children of disobedience. That's the spirit of the world.
That's the spirit of Christmas. That's why nobody gets offended
by it. 1 Corinthians 2 12 though, tells us, now we have received
not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God,
that we might know the things that are freely given to us of
God. Look, the spirit of Christmas
is the spirit of the world. That's what it is. It isn't the spirit of Christ. It's not the spirit of Christ. It leads to worldliness and the
world loves it. But I'm to come out from among
them and be separate, saith the Lord. Look at all these people that
are yoked up together. You got psychics, those that
consult familiar spirits, you got the Pope, you got Roman Catholics. All these people. Right? That come together. Here's another one for you. Have
you ever asked yourself this question? Well, I'll tell you what, here's
what I'll do first. Hang on. Here's what I'll do first, okay? Let's play this first. O Christmas tree, O Christmas
tree, you are quite the idolatry. O Christmas tree, O Christmas
tree, you are quite the idolatry. Because they take you from the
woods and give you decorations good. Oh, Christmas tree, oh,
Christmas tree, you are quite the idolatry. Oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas
tree, how warmly will I chop thee. Oh, Christmas tree, oh,
Christmas tree, how warmly will I chop thee. Because there is
no reason to Honor and worship only you O Christmas tree, O
Christmas tree How warmly will I chop thee O Christmas tree,
O Christmas tree me. Oh, thou art my bonfire free. For hours you have warmed me. Thank goodness for your resinous
wood. It warms our house up really
good. Oh, Christmas tree. Oh, Christmas
tree. For hours you Okay, the real question that
I have for you after you listen to that Obviously you can see
we're mocking that but the real question that I have for you
is what in the world Does a as a tree? Does a tree have to do With worshiping Christ Well nothing What does that have to do with
Jesus' so-called birthday? Nothing. Jeremiah chapter 10. Justin Nielsen
said this, they protected and defended us from the Ottomans.
They stirred up the Ottomans, just like Rome has stirred up
everyone to murder. The papacy is a bunch of murdering
devils. Down with the Vatican! May God
crush the Antichrist religion and destroy it off the face of
the earth! May he melt it all with fervent
heat and burn it down to the ground! It's wicked and Antichrist! Veil worship! Let it be accursed,
and so say I now again. If any man preach any other gospel
than that which you have received, let it be accursed. Cursed gospel
of hell. Rome. No truce with Rome. None. Murdering devils. Jeremiah chapter 10. I wouldn't be a Muslim without
them because I have the words of God. And let me tell you something,
Junior. You want to hear something? Here's
what I'll tell you, Junior. Why don't you do a little bit
of study sometime instead of just talking Catholic talking
points? Let me tell you, let me tell
you that the Albigensis, that the Waldensis, let me tell you
about the Novatians, let me tell you about the Donatists, let
me tell you about all of them that lived alongside the Ottoman
Empire and they were just fine. They did just fine until Rome
got their greedy little hands in there and wanted the Temple
Mount in Jerusalem. and they took the Temple Mount
in Jerusalem. They wanted it and they stirred it up and they
caused a war because they wanted to put their little temple in
Jerusalem. That's what it was about. That's
what the Crusades were about. That's why they slaughtered the
Greeks, the Orthodox Greeks. That's why they went through
there with the Crusades and slaughtered them. Don't give me Rome as some
benevolent loving army. of murdering savages, and they
always have been. And they have nothing to do with...
I didn't come from Rome. I didn't come from Rome. You're
looking at somebody that understands their history, Justin. I didn't
come from Rome. Want to know where the Bible
came from? You want to know where the scriptures came from? They
came from Antioch. You want to know who had the
scriptures in A.D. 130? The Vaudois. They got it
from... Antioch, the Syrian, and they
took it over to the valleys of Piedmont. And when Jerome came
with his little popish, his little popish new Latin Vulgate and
wanted to give them the scriptures, they rejected him and said, we
don't need your bishops and we don't need your scriptures. So
don't come on here and tell me about history, boy. I will school
you like you've never been schooled in your life. Sit down and listen,
son, or shut up and get off my broadcast. But you aren't going
to come on here and defend Rome. Thank you. Now, moving right
along. That's more history than you've
heard in your entire life, probably. Now, back to what I was saying
before I was so rudely interrupted by some papist. Hear ye the word of the Lord.
Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of
Israel. Thus saith the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen,
and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven. For the heathen are
dismayed at them. For the customs of the people
are vain. For one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of
the hands of the workman with the axe. They deck it with silver
and with gold. They fasten it with nails and
with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm
tree, but speak not. This is the Christmas tree. And right about now, there's
somebody that's gonna say this, but that doesn't say Christmas
tree. You see, that doesn't say Christmas tree, because this
was written before Christmas tree. So that's not a Christmas
tree. Well, if it looks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck,
if it walks like a duck, if it stinks like a duck, if it's greasy
like a duck, then it's a duck. It doesn't matter if you change
the name of it, it's still a duck. Get it? That's pretty simple,
isn't it? Yeah. So whether you call your
duck a goose, if it's still a duck, it's a duck. If it quacks, it's
a duck. Right? So, if you cut a tree out of the
forest with an ax, then deck it with silver and with gold,
and then fast it with nails and with hammers, you're observing
the way of the heathen. It doesn't say you're a heathen.
It says, learn not the way of the heathen. See, you're not gonna come on
here and spit Roman Catholic history to me and expect me to
fall for it. I'm not stupid. Number one, I'm a student of
the Bible. And number two, I'm a student of history. And if
you think I'm going to fall for Roman Catholicism as everybody
came from the whore, well, you're just ignorant of history. Because
all I have to do is go back to the great Donatus Schism. and
the edict against the Donatists, and Constantine, and what he
did in 300, and how he tried to install bishops over there,
and how they rebelled against him, and how Rome apostatized
from the truth. I already understand all, I already
know that and understand it. And I'm not a Protestant in the
sense of the Protestants who came from Rome. And God's gonna burn the bloody
whore. And all her little bastard children
do. Her little whores. Like the Church
of England, who persecuted my forefathers, of which you'll
hear much about when I get over to jolly old England. Smashing! Smashing, I tell you! Smashing! Henry Ward Beecher said this,
to me Christmas is a foreign day, and I shall die so. When I was a boy, I wondered
what Christmas was. I knew there was such a time because we had
an Episcopal church in our town and I saw them dressing it with
evergreens and wondered what they were taking to the woods.
What would they were taking the woods to the church for? But
I got no satisfactory explanation. A little later, I understood
it was a Romish institution kept by the Romish church. Ah, Tertullian said this. He complained that too many fellow
Christians had copied the pagan practices of adorning their houses
with lamps and with wreaths of laurel at Christmas time. Oliver Cromwell preached against
the heathen traditions of Christmas carols, decorating trees, and
any joyful expression that desecrated that sacred event. William Bradford, the governor,
tried hard to stamp out all pagan mockery at Christmas time. Christmas
trees were not used at all in colonial times. However, if they
were, they certainly have been forbidden. They would have been
forbidden. In Europe, pagans in the past did not cut down
whole evergreen trees and bring them into their homes and decorate
them. That would have been far too destructive of nature. But
during the Roman celebration, the Feast of Sant'Aurelia, Pagans
did decorate their houses with clippings of evergreen shrubs.
They also decorated living trees with bits of metal and replicas
of their god Bacchus. Right. Many pagan cultures used to cut
bows of evergreen trees in December, move them into the home or temple,
and decorate them. Seven modern-day pagans still
do. This was to recognize the winter
solstice, the time of the year that had the shortest daylight
hours and longest night of the year. This occurs annually, sometimes
between December 20th and 23rd, most often. It is December 21st. As the solstice
approached, they noticed that the days were gradually getting
shorter. Many feared that the sun would eventually disappear
forever and everyone would freeze in the dark. But even through
deciduous trees, bushes and crops died or hibernated for the winter.
The evergreen trees remained green. They seemed to have magical
powers that enabled them to withstand the rigors of winter. In Northern Europe, The ancient
Germanic people tied fruit and attached candles to evergreen
tree branches in honor of their god Woden. Woden. Trees were viewed as symbolizing
eternal life. This is the deity after which Woden's day was named. The trees joined holly, mistletoe,
the wassobol, and the yule log as symbols of the season. All
predated Christianity. Right. The first decorating of an evergreen
was done by pagans in honor of their god Adonais, who after
being slain was brought to life by the serpent Ascepolis. The representation of the slain
Adonai was a Adonais, was a dead stump of a tree. Around this
stump coiled the snake, the symbol of life restoring. From the roots
of the dead tree then came forth another and different tree, an
evergreen tree, symbolic to pagans of a god who cannot die. In Babylon,
the evergreen tree came to represent the rebirth reincarnation of
Nimrod as his new son, Tammuz. In Egypt, this god was worshipped
in a palm tree as Baal Tamar. Heathen people in the land of
Canaan also adopted tree worship calling it Asherah. A tree with
its branches cut off was carved into a phallic symbol. Right! The fir tree was worshipped in
Rome as the same newborn god named Baal-Bareth, who was restored
to life by the same serpent. A feast was held in honor of
him on December 25th, observed as the day on which the god reappeared
on Earth. He had been killed and was reborn
on that day victorious over death. It was called the birthday of
the unconquered sun. Thus the annual custom of erecting and
decorating evergreens was brought down to us through the centuries
by the pagan Roman Catholic Church. The paganism of Temus and Baal
or the worship of the sun mingled with the worship of Ascolapius,
the serpent, whether erected in private homes or in churches,
decorated or not, the evergreen tree is a glaring symbol of this
false god. And of course, The mistletoe
and wreath have nothing to do with Christ. Right? They have nothing to do with
Christ. You know what I think is really
interesting? You have a lot of these ministries out here that
they're always, you know, They're always uncovering the
Illuminati and paganism and, you know, all those things. Right? They're always uncovering
that, aren't they? But when it comes to Christmas,
I think most of them are pretty much, most of those
pastors are pretty much afraid of their wives. And most pastors
I think are afraid of women in their church, right? I think they're a little afraid
of them. So, they don't talk about it. In pagan mythology, evergreen
means eternal life and never-dying existence. Made from the evergreens,
Christmas wreaths were frequently, most frequently round, which
symbolizes the sun, just as do halos in most religious art.
Hence, the round X-mas wreaths stand for an eternal sun and
the circle of life. In addition, the round also represents
the female private organs and is considered a fertility symbol. Get it? Because of these pagan associations,
the Christian church was initially hostile towards the use of wreaths
and other evergreen derivatives. But in the same way it Christianized
other pagan traditions, the church has soon found a way to confer
its own symbolic meanings. For example, a sharp pointed
leaves of the male holly came to represent Christ's crown of
thorns, and the red berries his blood, while the female ivy symbolized
immortality. That's from Soulgrave Manor a
Tudor Christmas. The tradition of the wreath extends
further back than the beginning of Christian traditions. Pagan
rituals of midwinter often featured a wreath of evergreen with four
candles. The candles were placed in each of the four directions,
representing the elements of earth, wind, water, and fire. Wait. Earth, wind, water, and fire.
Wait, wait, wait. I remember that. You mean, you mean like this?
Okay, that's, that's what it reminded me of. That's, that's it right there.
That's what Captain Planet, I mean, I mean, just remember. That's what it that's what it
was Captain Planet. That's you pagan you bunch of
heathens Captain Planet bunch of heathens Learn not the way
of the heathen That's white I mean right I Okay. The candles were placed in each
of the four directions representing the elements of the earth, wind,
water, and fire. Rituals are performed to ensure
the continuance of the circle of life. You know, like the Lion
King, the circle. Remember that? Yeah, that bunch
of pagans. Man, I gotta quit yelling. Voices
all dried out, yelling like crazy. What's the matter with me doing
that? Why do you get so excited, preacher?
It just reminds me of Timothy when you look at Martyrs' Mirrors. In Martyrs' Mirrors, it gives
an account of Timothy. And Timothy, he was an old man.
He got out there. He's like 50 something, I don't
know, 60 years old. He got out there and he saw this long line
of people going to this idolatrous worship. And he stood out there
and he started preaching to them. He's a street preacher, right?
So he starts preaching to them and he rebuked them for their
ridiculous idolatry. And what did they do? They beat
him to death. That's what they did. He died two days later, right? Okay. So, back to me notes anyway. Oh, look, it's almost four o'clock.
Look, I can't do, look now. I mean, I got 10 minutes, but
I can't do double time of double time Of overtime. I, I don't think that's, I, that's
getting pricey. That's getting expensive right
there. I mean, you know how much I, you know how much I gotta
be paid to do that. I mean, you know what that is,
don't you? What is that even called? Double, double, double
overtime. Is that what it's called? I don't
know. I don't know. Not yet I'm not,
but I'm 351. Okay. The mistletoe. The use of the
mistletoe plant, which is poisonous to both man and animals, can
be traced back to the ancient Druids. The Druids were pagan
Celtic priests. They're heathens. Just remember. No, no, I'm finished. I'm done. The Druids were pagan. They were
heathen. The Bible doesn't use pagan.
The Bible use heathen. Heathen. Okay, the Druids were heathen
Celtic priests who were considered magicians and wizards. It represented
the false messiah, considered by the Druids to be a divine
branch that had dropped from heaven and grew upon a tree on
earth. The mistletoe symbolized the
reconciliation between the gods and man. And since a kiss is
a well-known symbol of reconciliation, that is how kissing under the
mistletoe became a custom. So a kiss showed reconciliation. and the mistletoe. So putting
them together was that symbol that they used. The mistletoe
being a sacred plant and symbol of fertility was also believed
to contain certain magical powers. It was supposed to bring good
luck and fertility, and even to protect from witchcraft, the
house in which it hung. Mistletoe is considered to be
a plant of male. Indeed, the white berries are
reminiscent of the seed. That's all I'm going
to say. Okay? It's reminiscent of the
seed of man. It has feminine properties as
well, however. It is also associated with the
sun and the element of air. It is associated with the gods
Apollo, Venus, Freya, Odin, and Balder. The mistletoe has use
in spells to attract love. for protection, for luck while
hunting, for forgiveness and reconciliation, to increase sexual
potency in men and to help women conceive. Oh, so that's why like when they
were kissing under the mistletoe or whatever, like that really
doesn't have anything to do with Jesus's birth and all that stuff.
And like, it has nothing to do with worshiping Christ. No, it
has to do with worshiping fertility gods. Right. So it's actually the way of the
heathen. Ah, right. So it really should be rejected
then. Absolutely it should be. Is it by most people though?
No. I will tell you the bulk of my
Christian friends, pastor friends, they will not
reject it. They will not. They accept it fully. They all walked away with nothing
to say. They just lost their dearest
friend. All that he said, now he was
dead. So this was the way it would
end. The dreams they had dreamed Not
what they see Now that he was dead and gone The garden, the
jail The hammer, the nails How could a knight be so wrong? Night turned into day And the
stone was rolled away Hope rose with the dawn Shadows vanished before the sun
Death had lost and life had won For morning had gone The angel
star The kings from Othar The wedding, the water, the wine
Now it was done He'd taken her son Wasted before his time She
knew it was true She watched him die too Heard them call him
just a man. But deep in her heart, all she
knew from the start, somehow her son would live again. Then came the morning. I turned in today, and the stone
was rolled away. Hope rose with the dawn. Shadows vanished before the sun
Death had lost and life had won For morning had come Death had
lost and life had won For morning had come. Morning had come. Hey, man, what a good song, huh? Man, that's a good one. All right. Look, I will play one more song
and give you an opportunity if you have any questions or comments
that you'd like to make. All right. Let's see here. How about... Though the angry surges roll
On my tempest-driven soul I am peaceful for I know Wildly though
those winds may blow I've an anchor that's safe and sure That
will evermore endure And it holds, my anchor holds For your wildest
in all care On my bark so small and frail By His grace I shall
not fail For my anchor holds, my anchor holds I can feel the
anchor fast As I meet each sudden blast And the cable though unseen
Bears a heavy strain between Till the turning of the tide. Troubles almost whelm the soul. Reefs like billows over me roll. Tempters seek to lure astray. Storms obscure the light of day. But in Christ I can be bold I've
an anchor that shall hold And it holds, my anchor holds Though
you're wild it's still no kill On my back so small and frail
By His grace I shall not fail For my anchor holds My anchor hold. Amen! All right, everybody. God
bless you. Pray for us. We'll be back here,
Lord willing, on Friday. Friday, 2 p.m. Central Time.
You pray for us that God would bless all of that, and please
be in prayer for our trip, which is a little over 60 days away.
It's not that far when we start nailing it down in January of
next week, anyway. Next Sunday, it'll be close to
60 days away. you pray for us that God would
give us the time that we need and help us to get everything
done. And if you'd like to give to our ministry, there it is
right there. You can see it on the screen. PayPal, salvationpreacher
at gmail.com. Venmo is pastorcoolie at icloud.com. Apple Pay, you can text it to
952-210-2935. Or you can mail us something
at 1030 Highway 3 South, Northfield, Minnesota, 55057. If you can't
give anything at all, you can pray. And you can ask God to
speak to somebody else's heart. We still have needs and things
that have to be taken care of for our trip here coming up.
So you keep us in prayer, and Lord willing, we will see you
again And by the way, I did this broadcast also to be an encouragement,
because I know there are people that are not observing Christmas,
and they're doing it because they love the Lord and they're
following the scriptures. And they're hated by their brethren,
they're marginalized, they're made to feel like garbage, and
they feel bad because they're opting out of that, and there's
a lot of pressure on them. So I want them to know that You
know what? There's other people that are
standing up for what is right and preaching the word of God.
And for a pastor to take that stand, it's not easy. There's
a lot of people that get upset. There's a lot of people that
won't come to your church. There's a lot of people that don't want anything to do
with you. And because you are faithful. So anyway, praise the Lord. So I do like
coffee. Thank you. I'm going to probably
drink some more.
