Our All-Sufficient Savior P1

This is part one of a three part series. The story of the penitent woman and the Pharisee forces upon each of us the grand question: "Will I trust in the righteousness of Christ alone, or will I trust in my own righteousness." But it also forces us to consider how and where we have attempted to add our own righteousness to the righteousness of Christ. Such an attempt to synergize my own righteousness with that of Christ is in truth a wholesale denial of the righteousness of Christ. It also makes you Christ's adversary, for Christ actively opposed self-justifying religion. He did during during his earthly ministry; he does today; and he will utterly destroy all forms of it when he returns. This sermon is a clarion call to renounce all forms of self-righteouness and passionately renew your faith in Christ alone.
