Time for our current events update. We begin with the update on Israel at war. Today's date, 12-8-24. As you know, it began October 7th of 2023 and they revised or updated the number on hostages down to 100. There's one that they found deceased. We're not sure the circumstances, but so that's not the way we want to see that number coming down, but it's well known that they're probably about half of those are probably deceased already. There's been a major shakeup in the last couple of days in the region. Lebanese sources have reported that Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah withdrew its forces from Syria yesterday, and it says marking a significant shift in the region. The reason is because Assad has been basically overthrown. It was already a mess. Syria was like bombed back into the 19th century already. But some people think this is good news. Those are Syrian Christians celebrating Assad's downfall under a Christmas tree. They're chanting, Syrians united, we are one people, and that's just not true. The reality is those people are in worse danger now than they were before. So don't be fooled by reports like that. These rebels that have overthrown Assad are ISIS 2.0. And we got ISIS in the first place because of the policies of Obama. And now we've got ISIS 2.0 and the end result of Biden's policies. And we can only pray that our new president will do what he did the last time he came in office within a few months, wiped them out. That's what we have to pray for. This is the reality. They're tearing down statues of Assad and his father. And they're being called moderate Islamists for some reason, and they're not. And you can hear their shouting, Allah, whatever they say, Allah, peanut butter sandwiches. And so Assad is being replaced by radical Islamists. It's just one evil replacing another, but it is a worse evil, really. Also, Syria rebels took areas near the Israeli border. That's one of the reasons it's in this update is because this will have serious ramifications with the war in Israel. IDF warns them not to turn in our direction. Now, I do want to say this, but I didn't have time. I got a notification just a few minutes ago that Donald Trump is saying that Americans have no business in this thing and just let it run its course. But of course, I believe he means unless it begins to affect Americans, he's leaving it in the hands of the IDF in Israel. And I agree with that, not that it matters, but I agree with that position. Now, this is all regarding Lebanon to the north and the West Bank on the northeast corner of Israel. And so the IDF has already began striking on the border at the crossings because Hezbollah is smuggling weapons from Syria into Lebanon, which they would then use to the south in Israel. So the IDF's like, no, we're not gonna do that. And they're just blowing them up. And in the meantime, Gaza, which is in the southwest corner of Israel, in the land of the Philistines, where David killed Goliath, what, 3,500 years ago? Qatar's PM confirms resumption of Gaza, I think that'd be about 3,000 years ago. David Kilt-Goliath. Qatar's PM confirms resumption of Gaza mediation role, meaning that there is now going to be talks about the ceasefire with Hamas. I have yet to really have any reason to expect much from those, and I've shared that with you in the past, but with a new administration coming in, we'll see. We would love to see those hostages that are still alive returned to life. They include a few Americans, by the way, and others. Now, while all that's going on, I just pointed you in all the directions of the border of Israel, but then internally it's crazy over there. Just one of the things going on is yesterday thousands marched at Tel Aviv and they were calling for a hostage deal and the overthrow of Netanyahu. And so then there's corruption trials, investigation trials going on. There's accusations that Netanyahu's involved in that and all kinds of things. And while that's going on, then around the world internationally, did you see this? In California, a couple of kids were shot. They were in severely critical condition. I don't know if they're still alive. It was at a Seventh Day Adventist school and they shot them in retaliation for the United States supporting Israel. The reason why it's a seven-day Adventist is because, I'm telling you, to Muslims, they just think Christians support Israel, and so if you're a Jew or a Christian, they'll come after you. Plus, the seven-day Adventists try to steal a lot of Jewish teachings and the feast and dietary laws and everything, so they're seen as very Jewish. So we'll pray for these kids. and watch for an update on their status. And meanwhile, in Australia, they burned a synagogue to the ground. And yeah, they had to, it was people inside and there's video, I'm not gonna show, but it was pretty traumatic looking stuff. The Australian prime ministers condemned it, but Netanyahu said, your administration, your anti-Israel policies and your rhetoric has helped create all this. And that's the truth. Of course, here in America again, this is the kind of thing, they have these big conferences where they're teaching kids to go back to college and turn their campuses into Palestinian supporting campuses and that sort of thing. This lady, she donned this outfit so as to, you know, fit in and be able to give this report. I am at the Palestine Convention being held outside of Chicago by American Muslims for Palestine, which is a group currently facing a congressional probe for its alleged ties to Hamas, which really is the elephant in the room here. No one seems to want to talk about Hamas. In fact, most if not all of what they seem to want to talk about is Israel. The past 11 months of this genocide has lifted the veil to show you that the Zionist system within the United States, there's a perception of power and there's real power. It's a pretty hostile media environment. That's why I'm whispering. I'm also covering my hair because this is a pretty observant crowd. Right now you're hearing the call to prayer. The fair themed everything, watermelon themed everything, and this is really an opportunity for people to get excited about the cause. There's programming for kids as young as three, for teenagers, also for college students, they have what they're going through. in this activism track. There's been a lot of discussion about how to prepare for potential legal consequences, what to do if you are arrested, how you can connect with what's being called the social justice community and adapt the Palestinian narrative to reach new people. This is a movement that is trying to figure out how they can expand beyond the Arab community. I made the full story at theafp.com. Folks, it is already so ingrained in liberals and the left in this country. And the programming has been going on with most of the people, even my age, you talk to people, since they were children, they have been programmed to not believe in God. believe in evolution. Folks, it's a spiritual thing, it's not intellectual. Once you reject the God of the Bible, you're going to hate the Jews. They produced the Messiah, God still has a plan for Israel. If Satan can destroy Israel, he would then by de facto destroy God's plan. It's insane, we know it's not possible, but it's again, it's not an intellectual thing, it's a spiritual thing. And I was telling folks in Sunday school, I was running a little late because I spent 20 minutes talking to one of our local liberals here, out walking his dog, taking pictures of my bumper stickers, and I walked out the door, so I had a conversation with him. And I'm telling you, it's like an onion, and you peel, and you peel, and you peel, and everything you answer, they just jump to another thing, jump to another thing. And I won't get into all the things we talked about, but that's why it's no, I'm not saying don't preach the gospel, I'm not saying to give up, but I'm saying realize where you are. You're in the days as it was in the days of Noah. You're as it was in the days of Lot. So you preach the gospel, but you do so because you love the Lord and you love that lost sinner, but get used to the rejection. and don't let it stop you. Just keep on doing it. Keep preaching, keep preaching, even if everybody you talk, just like Noah preached for 125 years, no converts, but he was a preacher of righteousness, and he is one of the greats in the Bible. Ezekiel picks out, who is it? Noah, Daniel, and Job, isn't it? As three of the great men of the Bible. Now, it's hard to keep up and keep track, but that's why we have these current events updates, to help you a little bit, to give you some biblical perspective on it. The Bible tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. They shall prosper that love thee. Psalm 122.6. And so we give you that information. If nothing else, the best thing you can do is pray. Amen? Now, you heard the reference to social justice. which is a false term it's it's it's a complete bogus term and we've talked about that but just in the matter of justice in the real sense of the word we right now and for several years now there has not been equal representation or equal justice under the law. There's a two-tier system. And so that happens when there's tyranny. And that's why a lot of us are thankful to see the present administration out and not replaced by just another one that will be like-minded because of the tyranny of this present administration. Their basic policy is law's for thee but not for me. And yes, the Democrat Party, but the Republican Party, I'm telling you, Mitch McConnell and those guys, these people who make $100,000 or something a year, and within a few years, they have a net worth into the tens of millions of dollars. That's corruption. And it's all orchestrated. They invest in the industrial military complex and start wars, for one thing. But they also make laws and they make their trades before they pass the laws, knowing the result. So it's basically like insider trading. So this is what's so sick about Hunter Biden's pardoned by Joe Biden here. Just watch. And I apologize. Some of the scenes are not pretty, but it's reality. If you have a piece of crack cocaine, No bigger than this quarter that I'm holding in my hand. One quarter of one dollar. We passed a law through the leadership of Senator Thurman and myself and others. A law that says, you're caught with that, you go to jail for five years. You get no probation. You get nothing other than five years in jail. Judge doesn't have a choice. Under our forfeiture statutes, You can, the government can, take everything you own, everything from your car to your house, your bank account, not merely what they confiscate in terms of the dollars from the transaction that you just got caught engaging in. They can take everything. I don't care why they become a sociopath. We have an obligation to cordon them off from the rest of society. They are in jail. away from my mother, your husband, our families. So I don't want to ask, what made them do this? They must be taken off the street. You weren't seeing AI or anything. These are real videos of Hunter Biden smoking crack, numerous occasions. Wasn't the size of a quarter, it was more the size of a coffee cup worth of crack, just in the video. And Joe Biden was behind the 1994 crime bill where millions of Americans, mostly of color, went to prison for doing exactly what Hunter did, and Hunter has been pardoned. You talk about a lying hypocrite. And we are blessed by the fact that he's being removed, but he's doing as much damage as he can do before he gets out of there. He's trying to start World War III and everything, but he says they go to prison, well, unless they are Joe's son. That's not equal justice. And then thirdly, lighten it up a little bit for about three minutes here, comics and stuff, it's actually better than mainstream news, by the way. This is one of my favorites. Guy in a suit, you know, he's a Biden supporter. He says, OK, maybe I shouldn't have asked you to pay my kids college loans. You won't hear them talk about this in the left-wing news media, the Democrat operatives pretending to be journalists on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC. They won't talk about this. This is why people didn't vote. Some of them just didn't vote at all. But other people voted for the opponent. Why? Because they wanted the working man to pay the college tuition of the children, many of whom had parents who could have paid. It, again, we have a sense of a desire for justice, equality, equal treatment in this country. That's what our Constitution is all about. And yet you have one party who, on criminals, not equal, on college education, not equal, It's just amazing. And then you have what we talked about last week. This is a nice little comment. It says, President Biden pledged to give $1 billion to Africa. In other news, North Carolina will change its name to Africa. Our own people in North Carolina freezing, starving, sick, and sending money to Africa and Ukraine. Why? Because the people behind it own the things being sent there, and they're making money off of it. The love of money is the root of all evil. Meanwhile, in England, Mohammed becomes the most popular baby name in England. You know what name it dethroned? This is talk about irony. The number one name in England used to be Noah. Babylon B. Allahu Akbar replaces cheerio, mate, as most popular UK greeting. Funny based in fact. Amen. Oh, and by the way, another Babylon B fake news. Every single human behavior now classified as autism or ADHD. I just, I think the majority of people I know have autism or ADHD. They don't, but they're told they do. And so they do. There was, when I was in high school, they would have thought you were speaking in tongues. Autism, ADHD. Listen, just if you don't know, psychiatry is a joke. There are people who need help, but psychiatry isn't providing the help. Psychology and most of your licensed professional counseling is horse doodle. That's the original Greek term. And they sit at a table and they use a marble in a box to say whether or not something that they've come up with is now a disease. You know how we figure out how diseases... We're talking science. You want to talk about science for a minute? Here's science. We take a swab of your spit, your blood, biopsy of an organ, put it under a microscope. Huh. Lookie there. That's disease. That's not what psychology and psychiatry is. It's superstitious nonsense. If you've been told that you have ADHD or OCD or any of these other things, what they mean is get a grip. Stop being so extreme. That's all it means. Addictive personality, every one of you have an addictive personality. Everybody has an addictive personality. If I spend 10 minutes with you, I can figure out what your addiction is, and yes, Jim, it's coffee. But I'm not going to do it, it might embarrass some of you, but I can go around the room and tell you, each one of you, outside of the Bible, which you should addict yourself to, Serving the Lord ought to be an addiction, amen? Loving Jesus, I'm addicted to Jesus, amen? If you can't say that and mean it, you ought to be. But you also, and hey, I mean, why is addiction a bad thing? You know it's not, as long as you keep it in balance. My wife has an addiction called analyzing. And you know what, over the years, she's learned She's learned and she's like, okay, I gotta stop this. Amen, Jenny? Amen. You can't see something, you know, somebody messes up something on the table and you gotta fix it. No, you don't. Make yourself not do it. But there's times where that comes in handy. So it's all, it's not about whether or not you're addicted, you are. Figure out what it is and keep it under control and use it, use your powers for good. Amen. I was addicted to sports. I was, back in the late 80s, I could tell you everything you wanted to know about the Cincinnati Bengals, and yes, it was mostly depressing, but the Cincinnati Reds, I mean, go back to the big red machine. I own videos of the 1975 World Series and would watch it 10, 15 years after it happened. I mean, I was addicted to sports. Stats, I could tell you stats and all that. When I got saved, that didn't mean I had to stop watching baseball or football, and I still watched some, mostly college basketball. I didn't have to stop watching all that, but I just decided I would put my addiction over here. and I got addicted to the word, addicted to ministry, addicted to serving, wanting to serve the Lord because I love Him. Not because I thought I had to or I just want to go to hell. I saved. I knew I'm saved. Why am I doing it? I want to serve the Lord because I love Him. So whatever your addiction is, get it under control, and then you take what you can of that and put it over here in God things. That's all you have to do. You don't need psychologists or psychiatrists for that. Now, there are some people who have brain issues and firing issues and all that kind of thing. That's a whole other thing. But what psychiatrists do is basically put them on dope that turns them into zombies. That's not really helpful. So I could talk more about that and go on and on, but I've already gone over. So what might have been the most important factor in this year's election is what I would say the best point to be made, and that is here. He says, what's that? Guy says, my new compass. He says, I just got a new one too. And he pulls out a Bible. Actually, I got a new moral compass. And he's holding a paper down there that says Bible sales surge. Now, I haven't seen the specifics of that, but that is the report that they're saying that Bible sales skyrocketed this year. And I believe that had a lot to do with how things have turned out in the election. No, it doesn't mean Donald Trump's the 13th Apostle. Doesn't mean that it's now the Church of Republicans. You know, they've still got all kinds of wicked people in that party. Trump still needs to be saved. He's still going to do things we don't agree with. He's just, you know, compared to Joe Biden, he is a saint. That's all. But, you know, you're comparing, you know, you're sitting a bar awful low there. So what's it mean? It just means that people decided they didn't want this Sodom and Gomorrah death cult anymore. It doesn't mean that everything on this side is great. It doesn't mean we're going to agree with all of it. But man, that other side is just going to hell. We'll see if they learn from it because I'm watching them on TV and stuff and they don't seem to want to face the reality. that they got so wicked that people just couldn't stand it anymore.
