I like the part of that song
where it says, if I had 1,000 lives to live, I'd give them
all to the Lord. It's the least that I could do. I like that song, and he might
sing it, because he knows I like it. I don't know, maybe. It's
good to be in God's house this morning. I appreciate the opportunity
to stand. I hate that Josh is sick and
under the weather this morning, but I thank God that he's that
we are all here gathered. It's good to have everybody here
with us this morning and I saw my good friend, what do we call
you, Andropolis Gillespie? It's good to have Ducky with
us this morning. That's what everybody knows him. It's good
to have him here this morning. I love you, Ducky. And we go
way back, go way back. And I don't know, a lot of you
might not know, but Ducky keeps an eye out on our church occasionally,
don't you, buddy? I saw he posted, he'd sent us
a message on Facebook where somebody took the mailbox off of our post
out there and he said he hates to see his home church, people
messing with his home church like that. And I appreciate somebody
that's looking out for our church and I appreciate Ducky. We grew
up here together and I tell you, Bunny has a big impact in Ducky's
life and I think Ducky threw a rock at Bunny's car. Is that
right? Bunny went back. Well, he was
little, okay. He was young. We all made mistakes. I'm not trying to point out Ducky's
mistakes, but that's one rock I'm glad was thrown at a car
because Ducky made it. Bunny stopped the car, went and
got him. brought him to church and he come to church when he
was a kid, grew up here in our youth group and I'm glad you
threw that rock, Ducky, I really am. I really am. But it's good
to have him with us this morning. We're going to be in Matthew
chapter 14 this morning. Be in John chapter 6 too, but
we're going to start out in Matthew chapter 14. Teaching our high school class
on Wednesday night and you high schoolers that were there, Van
and Cameron. Y'all are gonna hear this again,
all right? So y'all must need to hear it twice. But this has
just been on my heart. This has just been, I've been
thinking about this for some time now, really, because it
really started when Josh was preaching through the Book of
Mark. He was talking about the 5,000 that was fed in the Book
of Mark. And we're gonna talk about the
5,000 being fed this morning a little bit here, too. It's
amazing what God can do, what God is able to do. And sometimes
we doubt, sometimes we feel like God's not there, God's not listening.
But I'm telling you, God's listening and God's there. And he can do
amazing things in our lives if we allow him to do those things.
And this is the first time, another side note, this is the first
time I've actually preached out of this Bible here. This is Bunny
Hearst's Bible that Debbie gave me. And this is the first time
I've actually preached out of it. And I was reading, I was
looking through it, and it was just some of the notes in here.
And he was talking about the 5,000 being fed. And this is
just one little side note. This is not really a part of
the message, but he's talking about the 5,000 being fed. And
he marked here in his margins over here, he says, when there's
not enough of you, give it to Jesus. He will bless it and will
multiply it. So when you feel like there's
not enough of you, that was words of wisdom from Bunny. And that's
the reason why I brought this Bible this morning to preach
out of this Bible because it really touches my life last night.
Just when there's not enough of you, I feel that way a lot,
don't you? I feel like That's just not enough
of me. I can't live up to it. I can't live up to the calling
that God's put on my life. I can't live up to the salvation
that God's given me. I'm just not enough. But if I
give it to God, He can multiply it. He can do amazing things. And I thank God for men like
Bunny Hurst, who his words are still living on. His words are
still living on right now through this Bible that I have here.
And I know there's a lot of that. Bunny's impacted a lot of you
all's lives. And I know he has mine. And I
know he has Josh's life and great mentor of our lives. But Jesus
feeds the 5,000. And verse number 15 of Matthew
chapter 14. And when it was evening, his
disciples came to him saying, this is a desert place and the
time is now past. Send the multitude away that
they may go into the villages and buy themselves vittles. But
Jesus said unto them, they need not depart. give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, we have
here but five loaves and two fishes. And I know this story
is in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And there's other parts
of the scripture, other parts of the Bible where this story
is presented. And I like what it says in some of them. It says
that Jesus had compassion on the multitude. He loved the multitude. He wanted to make sure that they
did not do without. But he's here saying to feed
them, but they're like, like all of us, we don't have enough
food to feed 5,000 people. And he says in verse 17, and
they say unto him, we have here but five loaves and two fishes.
He said, bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude
to sit down on the grass and took the five loaves and the
two fishes. And looking up to heaven, he
blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples,
and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were
filled. And they took up of the fragments
that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten
were about five thousand men. beside women and children. I see that, I think about, we
talk about he fed the 5,000, but here it tells us that it's
beside the women and children. So the women and children weren't
even counted. So if you think about, if every man had a wife,
and if every man had one child, then this is like 15,000 people
here. And it's possibly even more than
that, that he fed with five loaves of bread and two fishes. I don't
know about you, but I'm a big boy and I could probably sit
down and eat five loaves and two fishes all by myself, right?
Just saying, just saying, woe is me, right? But five loaves
and two fishes, I could see where the disciples would doubt. I
could see where the disciples would say, how are we going to
do this? How can we feed them? I mean, what are we going to
do here? How are we going to do this? they were really probably
doubting the Savior that they were with. He was able to feed
5,000 plus maybe 10,000 more. 15,000 people, I would go ahead
and say. Around 15,000 people with five
loaves and two fishes. Not only did he feed them with
five loaves and two fishes, he took up 15 baskets of leftovers. at the end of the day. I tell
you, these people here, they were blessed to be with Jesus
Christ. This multitude, they knew exactly
where they wanted to be and who they wanted to be with. I don't
know about you, but I'd like for somebody to pay for my meal.
Go right ahead. I don't care. But anyways, they're
here with Jesus and he's feeding them. He's taking them to, he's
making sure that they're taken care of because he had compassion
on them. at no doubt he's probably thinking
they've been sitting here listening to me teach them all day long
and they're probably starving to death now I can't just send
them home without without giving them something to eat they'll
probably faint they'll probably I believe the Bible even says
that in some places that they probably wouldn't make it home
because they've been and you're listening to me all day without eating
a meal, without the nutrition that they need to even walk back
home. And he says, I'll take care of
them. And he took care of them, and
he fed them. And they were fed, and they were
filled. And he took up 12 baskets. Well,
each one of those disciples could have took a basket home with
them, right? The 12 disciples could have took a basket home
with them. The next morning, he sent off the multitude now,
after this has taken place. He sent them away, sent them
home, and then he sent the twelve disciples on a ship. And while
the ship with the disciples on it was departing, Jesus was telling
the multitude goodbye. He was giving them his farewells. As you continue reading through
there, the disciples are on that ship and the great storm comes.
And they're out there, they're out there scared for their lives. And here comes Jesus walking
on water. I'll tell you, the miracles that
Jesus has shown to these people, the miracle that these multitudes,
even these multitudes have seen, the miracle that these twelves
have seen, I'm telling you, that's a Jesus that I'm going to stick
with. You see what I'm saying? This is the man that I want to
be with. This is the man I want to hang
out with. This is the man that is going to provide me with what
I need. This is the man who's going to teach me the things
that I need to know. This is the man that's going
to come to me in the middle of life's storms. He's the one that's
going to come walking on the water when it seems impossible.
and there's no hope. Here comes Jesus walking on water
in the midst of my storm. Here's the Jesus that when I
feel like I'm starving to death, He's here. Here He comes providing
another meal. Here's the Jesus that is able
to cure the blind man as we saw in the book of Mark last Sunday
night when John was preaching. This is the same man that can
get restored hearing to the dead. Here's the same man that can
tell a crippled man to take up your bed and walk. Here's the
same man that can have that and do, that can raise Jairus' daughter
from the dead. This is the same man that can
call out to the grave and say, loose him and let him go. I'm
telling you to tell Lazarus to rise from the grave, to loose
him and let him go. This is the same Jesus who will
die on the cross. Again, His life for you, but
three days later, resurrect from the grave. This is the man that
I want to hang out with. This is the man that I want to
put my faith and trust in. This is the man who's delivered
me on numerous occasions. This is the man who's forgiven
me of every one of my sins. I think I'll stick with Jesus.
Amen. This multitude here, I'll tell
you what this multitude did as you continue on in the book of
John. Like I said, this story is in
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. But in John chapter 6, verse
22, the multitudes, when they woke up and asked for Him, they'd
come looking for Jesus. The same multitude that still
had. The same multitude that would
hold full bellies full. They fed the 5,000. They said
they got up the next morning and the multitude was looking
for Jesus. They went down to the docks and they were looking
at how the boats came in. And they realized that, hey,
His 12 disciples are on that boat. But they ain't on those
boats. Jesus, He's not on those boats.
So what did they do? The logical thing, they got on
a boat and went looking for Jesus. They were going to try to find
Him. They were going to go looking for Him. And it tells us in verse
22 of John chapter six. Let me see, I got a marker on
here. John chapter six, verse 22. Am
I right? All right. The day following, this is the
day following the 5,000. The day following, when the people
which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was
none other boat there, save the one wherein His disciples were
in, and that Jesus went not with His disciples into the boat,
but that His disciples were gone away alone. Howbeit, there came
up other boats from Tiberias, high unto the place where they
did eat bread, after the Lord had given thanks, after recalling
that day. And when the people therefore
saw that Jesus was not there, neither His disciples, they also
took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. I'm telling
you, when Jesus makes an impact in your life, you're going to
want to be where He's at. Now he's made an impact in mine.
And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they
said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? Jesus answered them
and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye seek me not because
ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves and
were filled. So they're coming for the wrong
reasons now. You see the multitude here. They're like, you fed me
yesterday and I'm hungry today, so feed me again. They're here
for the wrong reasons. Verse 27, labor not for the meat
which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting
life, which the Son of Man shall give unto you. For Him hath God
the Father still. So what He's saying is you're
coming to Me for that bread and five loaves of bread and two
fishes that are going to perish. He said, you're coming to me
because I fed you. I'm telling you what, these folks,
they had it all wrong, you see. They were coming for what they
could receive, what they could get, what they could get for
themselves to feed their temporal bodies, to feed for the time
being, something that's not gonna last. We go, I don't know about
you, but when I eat, I get hungry again. Something's about four
hours later called on me, right? So they're coming for something
that's not gonna last. They're coming for something
that, they're coming for the miracles that they saw. They're
coming for the food that he provided. They're coming for the wrong
reasons. And what Jesus is telling them here is, you're coming for
the wrong thing. You need to come for the meat
that'll last forever and I survive. You need come for the eternal
me. And what He's trying to show
them is, I am that everlasting me. I am the One. He's not talking about a literal
eating of the flesh or drinking of the blood. We're joined together
with Christ through the breaking of the body on the cross and
through the shedding of blood that forgives us of our sins.
That's what He's talking about. We need to come join together
with Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. We need to come
to Him and join together with Him. And that way, where I go,
He comes. to where He goes, I go. I'm saying
we need to join together here with Him for the right purposes,
for the right reasons, not for that temporary meal, not for
those brand-nose fishes, but for the blood of Jesus Christ
and the body that was broken on the cross of Calvary, for
our sins, and for your sins, for my sins, so that we can have
eternal life, the eternal meat, the eternal meal that will last
forever. And that's Jesus Christ. That's
in you, and only in you, and only through you. Oh, we love
you. He's teaching you this. And through
the first 65 of chapter 6, I'm not going to read it all. He's teaching them that they
need that everlasting meeting. They need the everlasting meeting.
They don't need the temporary. They need the everlasting. We
accept that sacrifice when we're joined together with Him. We
accept the sacrifice that He made. We deny ourselves daily,
take up our cross, and follow Him. We've accepted that sacrifice. We've accepted the shedding of
His blood. And suddenly, many of these disciples,
or followers, He calls them, they're referred to as falsehood,
or referred to as disciples. Here, I'll show you in just a
minute. But many of these disciples are followers in this falsehood. They didn't understand what He
was teaching. And over all we thank and mourn the death of
Yahushua and his people. John 6, verse 66, after He teaches
them about the eternal beings. After He teaches them that they're
going to have to partake in His body and in His blood. And it
was hard saying. It was hard to understand. But
I'm telling you right now, that's the reason why when we do the
Lord's Supper, He said, this is My body which was broken for
you. Take, eat all of it. And then He says, this is My
blood which was shed on the cross for the remission of sins. Drink
ye all of it. That's the Lord's Supper. We're
not literally eating His body. We're not literally drinking
His blood. But it is symbolic that we are
agreeing to come together in submission to Him, partaking
in His sacrifice. Our sacrifice would be that we
deny ourselves daily, take up our cross, and follow Him. That's
our sacrifice. And we're going to give our lives
to Him because He gave His lives for us. And we have been forgiven
by His blood. So we accept His blood. Because
if we don't accept His blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.
Because without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness
of sins. Without Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, there is no hope.
There is no eternal meat. And He's trying to teach the
multitude. We need the eternal meat. Not the temporary meat.
We need the eternal meat. So in verse 66, they don't understand. It's a hard saying. They're too piled up, and probably
their stomach is growling. They're like, well, ain't you
gonna feed us meat? He's probably thinking that they're
probably thinking that. He's probably thinking, I am feeding
you. I'm feeding you meat that nobody
else can give you. I'm feeding you with an everlasting
meal. I'm feeding you with something
that's going to last far beyond four hours. I'm going to feed
you like you've never been fed before. Spiritually fed. And from that time, after he
taught this, from that time, many of his disciples went back
and walked no more with him. They didn't walk with him anymore.
It was too hard, right? It's too hard to deny ourselves,
take up our crosses daily and follow him. Ain't it? It's too hard. I don't think
that's the route I want to take. You see that in the world today.
You know, there's a, in the last days, the Bible says there's
going to be a great falling away. I believe it's already happening.
I believe, I don't know, last time I ever heard, and Bill was
probably pretending to be better, there's about 800 people on the
road of the West South Baptist Church. If we get 80 in here,
that's 10% of the people on our roll that are actually showing
up for church because it's too hard. It's too hard. I'm not saying nothing about
those other 720 people or 700 people. I'm not saying anything
about them. I'm just saying that for a lot
of people, it's too hard. It's from that time when people
realize when it gets too hard, when it's too hard. From that
time when they realize it's too hard, many of His disciples went
back and walked no more with Him. There's a lot of people
that walked no more with Him because it got too hard. Then
said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Question for
us this morning. Will you also go away? He just
fanned 5,000, five loaves and two fishes. He just walked on
water, walked out to the boat in the middle of the storm, and
let Peter walk out too. He just did that. I mean, he's just, I'm telling
you, I don't know about you, but if I saw all this stuff,
I'd go, I ain't leaving him, never. He's 12 right here next
to me. I'll tell you where he is, he's
in here. He's in here, come back. Then
Simon Peter answered the human Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou
hast the word to eternal life, and we believe and are sure that
thou art with Christ, the Son of the living God. Do you believe
that this morning? Where will we go? Where is the 90% of West Side
Baptist Churches rural? Where are they? Where will they
go? Where are they? I'm not saying,
hey, I'm not talking about those that just aren't able to make
it anymore. They're just not able to get out. I'm not talking
about them. I'm talking about the able-bodied people that choose
this morning to stay at home or go to the Christmas parade,
whatever it is. I don't know what's going on
today. Not in touch, I guess. Or go to the movie, because that's
a good movie to get out. Or the ones that chose to do
something other than come to church. Where are they going? Where will you go? Where will
we go? Where will you go? That's the
question. That's the question we need to
ask ourselves. We're right here in the middle
of the holiday season. Jesus miraculously born of a
virgin. All I'm telling you, he became
a man so that he could die on the cross for our sins. Hey,
I'm going to ask you this. How many of y'all, if y'all had
the opportunity, would turn yourselves into a worm today? Such a worm
as I, right? OK. Jesus, God on the throne,
he decided I'm going to make myself a little lower than the
angels. He said, I'm going to become
like those worms, God of the universe, the one who created
it all. Oh, the one who gave sight to
the mind. Oh, the one who was there in
the garden, and he was so grieved for the sins of man that he swallowed
a king's great drops of blood. I'm telling you, the creator
of the universe, he was there in the beginning. In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God. And the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and
dwelt in the heavens. That same God, I'm telling you,
he said, I'll become a Word. I'll become human so I can die
on the cross for your sins. None of us in here is going to
say, I'll train my life for a Word. None of us will. And Jesus said,
I'll trade the glories of heaven. I'll trade the streets of gold,
all of that. I'll trade all of this, this
life. This is the life that we look
forward to, right? So I'll leave this. I'll become
a human. I mean, he's devaluing himself,
becoming a human. He's devaluing himself. He devalues himself to be like
Jason Turd so that he can die on the cross so that Jason Turd
don't have to go to hell. So Jason Turd doesn't have to
pay for the sins that he's committed in his life. Oh, where will I go? Where will
I go? I'm going to Jesus. That's where I'm going. I'm going
to go with Him. Because He loved me enough to
decide that He wanted to become like me, so that He could die
for me. I'm going to go with Him. He
said, where? He said, will He also go away? Oh, Peter, to whom shall we go? This world has nothing to offer
that's greater than the Lord Jesus Christ. That's what Peter's
saying. There's nothing in this world.
Where will I go? I can go over here. The twelve,
they remain. The twelve remain. But in all
that fall, you know, old Peter, he did walk away, but he came
close when he denied Jesus three times there, right? At the end. Then he decided to go fishing.
He decided to go back to the old life. He goes, Jesus is gone. We'll go back to the old life
when Jesus is gone. We'll go back to fishing. He almost walked
away. till Jesus showed up again, right? I'm glad that even though we
almost walked away, Jesus will show up again and allow us to
come back to him. The fear went on, it went on,
it went on, continued on. Judas, Judas the scared, he didn't
walk away then, but eventually he betrayed Jesus and walked
away to his death, right? He might not walk away with a
multitude, but he did walk away eventually. I tell you, there's
decisions that have to be made. John, I don't know, nothing really
ever said about John, but John did walk away. And we see Jesus,
we see John at the feet of Jesus at the cross. Woman, behold thy
son. Son, behold thy mother. That
was John, Jesus was talking to at the foot of the cross. I want
to be like God. I want to go. I'm going. Hey,
but don't, hey, but don't judge me. Don't, hey, don't, don't
judge me when I'm like Peter and I walk away a little bit.
Just pray for me that I come back and I'm not like Judas.
Just pray for me. You too, I'm praying for you
too. Where will we go? Where shall we go? In Matthew chapter 15, I think
I just lost the place. Matthew chapter 15, right back
there. Matthew chapter 15, verse 32
to 38. See what happens after. After
all this has taken place. Because look, in the book of
John, Jesus spent 5,000 in chapter 6. will you go away also? At the
end of chapter six. So I would say it's a pretty
good assumption, and I may be wrong. But I would say it's a
pretty good assumption that that took place right after he had
been molested at the 5,000. And then we'll see in chapter
15, we read Matthew chapter 14, but now we're in Matthew chapter
15, and we'll see in Matthew chapter 15, verses 32 through
38, Then Jesus called his disciples
unto him and said, I have compassion on the multitudes. Here's the
multitude again. Because they continue with me
now three days and have nothing to eat. And I will not send them
away fasting, lest they faint in the way. And his disciples
said unto him, in the wilderness as to fill
so great a multitude. And Jesus said unto them, how
many loaves have ye? And they said, seven loaves and
a few little fishes. And he commanded the multitude
to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves and
the fishes, gave thanks, and prayed with them, and gave to
the multitude, or gave to his disciples, and his disciples
gave unto the multitude. And they did all eat and were
filled. And they took up of the broken
meat that was left, seven baskets full. So then we talk about feeding
5,000. Here's another instance. Just
right after he fed 5,000, here he go in. And they that did eat
were 4,000 men. So here's 4,000 men. Besides
women and children. So he'd go from 5,000, and in
between the 5,000 and 4,000 he fed, he said, well, you go away
also. Well, the point I wanted you
to see here is there was 5,000 besides women and children. Now
there's only 4,000 besides women and children. The whole multitude
didn't go away, but a great chunk of the multitude did. Because
you take 5,000 minus 4,000, that leaves 1,000. There's 1,000 people
that walked away because it was too hard. But you multiply that
by three, because it's a wife and a child. So there was more
than that. There was 3,000 people that walked
away because it got too hard. I'm telling you, I know they're
still there. I commend the 4,000 that are still there and their
wives and children. I commend them. But man, that's
an awful lot of people that just walked away because it got too
hard. We live in a world today where
people are just walking away because it's too hard. It's too
hard. Nobody said it's going to be
easy, right? It ain't going to be easy. Hey, you're going to have to
deny yourself. Hey, that best friend that you grew up with
that don't believe in Jesus, you might have to separate yourself
from him and go deal with him. I'm not saying you have to put
away with him altogether. But you can't live like they did.
You can't walk like they walked. I'm telling you what, there's
a lot of people in this world, listen, a lot of people in the
world, a lot of people in the church that are walking away
from Jesus Christ because they'd rather be doing what they're
afraid they're doing. Or they're walking away from the Lord Jesus
Christ because, man, just going to church every Sunday. Sunday's,
I don't know, that's a good day to just sit around and watch
some football or go do stuff. I got work Monday through Friday. Sunday's just a good day. I don't
want to waste my time going to church. They don't realize it
ain't a waste. I tell you, this is good. Those thousand, 3,000, whatever
walked away between 5,000 and 4,000, those that walked away
between 5,000 and 4,000, look what they missed out on. I'm
not talking about them missed out on being bad again. I'm talking
about they missed out on being bad spiritually. Invaluable. Invaluable. Eternal, eternal food, the spiritual
food that they're missing out on because they walked away.
It ain't easy, but I'd rather do it with him than do it without
him. Nobody said it was easy. It will
be one day. I guarantee you. It'll be easy
one day. But I'll take the hard now so
I can have the easy later. Because I'm not going to take
the easy now and have the hard for all of eternity. I'll take
the easy later. I'll work for it. I'll do what
I have to do. It might be hard, but I'm going
to stick with Jesus Christ. I'm going to, hey, by everything
within me, I'm going to be here on Sunday morning, Sunday night,
Wednesday night. I will be here. I'm going to do my best. for Him for what He's done for
me. I'm going to be here. Right? I'm going to follow Him. Right? I'm going to do my best. Hey, as hard as it might be,
oh, as hard as it might be when you work in the world, when you
live in this world, the flesh is holding you and wants to tear
somebody off sometimes, right? As hard as it might be, I'm going
to have to deny myself, tell Him I am, and pick up my cross
and follow Him, no matter how hard it might be. I just like to run off the road
sometimes. That's probably my biggest bias.
That's my biggest hard time is driving in Knoxville, Tennessee,
especially at 5 o'clock. Or on the way to work at 8 o'clock
in the morning. I'm telling you all, I want to run some people
off the road. Get out of my way. I'm getting to work. I'm telling
you all, deny yourself. It's hard, right? It's hard. I'm so glad none of y'all ride
with me to work. Maybe I need to ride with you
to work. Maybe I'll be better. Just saying. But what we need
to realize is Jesus is with us always. He's going to provide for us.
He's going to be there for us. Anybody who gives some leftovers, Seven masses left over here.
So we see fewer in multitude, so not all walk away. But there's
a great number of people that did walk away. They missed out
on being fed miraculously once again, but they also missed out
on being fed spiritually. They missed out on God's blessings. Most of all, they missed out
on forgiveness of sins. the eternity in heaven with Jesus
Christ our Lord. And this out, as they walk away. I'm telling you, if you walk
away, you better hope God will take you back and He will come
back. You better come to your senses
like the prodigal son. You better come to your senses.
You walk away from Him. You better come to your senses
and come back to Him. Before it's too late, Before
it's too late, we need to come back together. As we get us all
ready this morning, that's the thought this morning
that I want you all to consider. Will ye also obey? I was talking, like I said, I
kind of talked this a little bit on Wednesday night here at
high school. I've been teaching high school
for a long time. I don't know how long. It's gotten so long we can't
keep up with how long, you know? And I can see one of my high
school students here this morning from all the years that I've
taught. But other than the ones that are current here, what time
is this? How about those that got up to
walk away? Where are they? I'm not saying
any of you are going to leave the church tomorrow. I'm not
saying that at all. But there's a lot of them that I guarantee are not
in church this morning. Why did they walk away? Why did
they walk away? Will you also go away? Will you? Also, go away. Why, why, why would some of you walk
away? There's a great following way,
as the Bible says. I live over there. I think there's
a great following way. I think there is one. But hey,
there's still going to be more following way. Is it bad for
me to assume that some of you might walk away, too? And why
will you walk away? What is it that you're going
to walk away for? I'm going to be up here. Wherever
they go, you're the one who has everything that I need. I'm not
going to walk away from you. There might be some times in
my life where I'm weak and my actions deny you, Lord, but I'm
just telling the Lord, please help me come back to you soon
and quick as possible. I'm not going to say there's
going to be weak times, weak moments in every one of our lives. Because we're all going to be
perfect because we're in the flesh. And I'm telling you right now,
he will receive his back. And I'm not walking away from
him. So with everything you mean,
I just want to stay with him. I will too. Hard as it may be. So just let me encourage you
to stick with Jesus. There's so much more to come.
You know what I'm saying? It's like, at the end of this
passage, I always say, to be continued. There's a whole lot
more to come. So stick with Him. There's so
much more to come. That'd be like leaving a meal
without getting dessert, right? It's coming. It's just a cigarette. It's coming. It'd be crazy to
leave before dessert gets there, right? Stick with Jesus. It's coming. There's more to
come. More to come. On the next episode
of the West Side Baptist Church, there's more to come. So speak
with Jesus. Speak with Him. And we'll be
back here at our regular scheduled time tonight at 6 o'clock. More to come, alright? as we
see with some Jews. If you're struggling this morning,
if you walked away, or if you're contemplating walking away, then
let me encourage you to speak with Jesus. Say it with Him.
If you'd like to pray that, come pray with Him.
