coming to you live on Facebook. This is Sunday night, December the 6th, 2020, the 20th of Kislev, 5781 of the Hebrew calendar. It's a pleasure to come into your homes through Facebook and sermon audio. Just want to come on here and say thanks to all of you for your prayers for our mother and for all of our family on behalf of the folks that have been praying for us. We're just so thankful. For those many prayers, all of our family members, thank you for those many prayers and also for the hospice, what they've done for our aunt, Shirley Ann. And so tonight, as we come on for our Sunday night, I want to ask the Lord to just give us strength and to make it through this tonight. I want to talk to you tonight, there's only one way to the promised land. And that's out of Job chapter 23, verses 8 through 10. There's only one way to the promised land. Tonight, as we look at this, I want to remind you to remember the many that are in need today. Not only where our family is grieving, but we think of all the others. And I want you to continue remembering some of our brothers and sisters in Christ and worthy. Remember him as he's recovering from cancer in his eye. And so lift him up. And each and every one of these needs, there's many needs that we look to tonight. But I want you to remember these people as well as us. And oh, so as we look at the needs, Josh and Anna, their baby has a hole in their heart. I want you to pray for that baby as well, that God would just miraculously heal and give a miracle to that baby, amen. And so as we look at Wendell Hopgood as he's recovering from back surgery for Each and every one of those ones that are suffering pain. And it seems like tonight is job is referred back to the many that are evil in this world. And it seems like you don't see them suffer for the consequences because of the evil that they're involved in today. But we are men and women of God. God gives us strength. And so I hope as I pray for each and every one of you, Today that we'll just look to the Lord as he gives us Everything that we need in the time that we need it There's only one way to the promised land. And so as we get ready to go into this message tonight and put scripture up Want you to remember that you can preach a better sermon with your life than you can with your lips and so each and every one of us tonight remember all of the many needs of those for prayer, especially For those that are lost, Rachel Zuma, Mark Pratt, Kara King, Heather Bentley, Jeremy and Melissa Ruppel, Becky Benefield, Laura Skates, Renee Mann, a family of five, Colby Board, Ressie Bennett, Christy Campbell, Don Massey Jr., Michael Morgenstein, and Uncle Larry, Mary Pruitt's uncle, Michael and Danny, which is Mary Pruitt's cousins. Also, Daniel, which is Mary Pruitt's nail guy, George Gordon, he's a Jew that's down in Tampa, Florida. Uh, Darrell Pruitt's friend, pray for him for his salvation, Jacob Joyce Sr. and Dr. Pete Lempnack. I thank God if we remember all of these ones, uh, that helps us with the sorrow and the heaviness and the discouragement that we go through each and every day of our lives. Amen. And so once you remember all of those widows and widowers in our church, Joyce Coots, Betty Eaton, Gail George, Mary Sr., Sheila Sr., Senator Turner, Brenda Weaver, uh, Deborah Ruppel, Elizabeth Boucher, Linda Adams, Jim Leahy, Sam Lewis, Earl Matheson, Todd Barnes, Bradford Thomas, those that are going through cancer right now as well as we said earlier that Dan Worthy is dealing with recovery of cancer from his eye and reconstruction. Gail George, Sam Lewis, Bradford Thomas, remember them once when you pray as well as we look to those that have a need. Oh, so Susie knew as she's still recovering from gallbladder surgery. There's so many needs today. And remember what I said about Josh and Anna Faircloth, their baby girl and for her heart that there's holes that they discovered that are there. And I pray for miraculous healing for her to recover from this and to go forward to be a healthy child. And I ask you to join us in with that prayer tonight as we remember those that are health care workers, those that are sick, those that are vulnerable to the sicknesses that are around them today. And disease, pray for the unemployed during this time, the many businesses and communities. We pray for our leaders and what's happening in America today, for those of our families and students that are trying to step up and learn more things. Pray for all of our churches, the pastors, the leaders, our deacons, For each other as we come together father. We thank you tonight for the mighty powerful Holy Spirit of God that will strengthen us during these times We pray for a healing for this nation and we pray for the lost We pray for Lord each and every one that needs the power of the Holy Spirit of God to come down and work a miracle in the making Father there's nothing more powerful than Then Lord, as we call upon you, Lord, even when we don't feel your presence, you're here. And Lord, we know God that you're strengthening us and you care about every tear that you catch in the bottles of the tear catchers that you have. You care that much about us as the Psalmist says, Father, Lord, I pray strengthen all of the many families that are grieving. Those Lord that need to be lifted up out of the Maori clay give us strength today father may we witness testify and may we be a light that will light the darkness of this world and Lord make a path for those that are lost and Lord that don't that are disoriented and don't have salvation may they reach for the hand of Jesus Lord I pray God that we'll be the light that shines them in the direction and father tonight Thank you for people's Valley Baptist Church Lord. I in my opinion father. Thank you the best church of all Lord, but I thank God you are that church for us and I pray and ask the name of Jesus tonight that you'll intervene in the many areas of Weaknesses where people are going through tests and trials families that are recovering father. They are burdened down with financial burden sickness Lord father I pray the power of healing upon the baby Lord that needs a healing in the heart and Lord, I tell you, Lord, for Josh and Lord Anna's baby, Father, I pray a healing for it upon it that, Lord, that, Lord, you will heal it completely in the name of Jesus. There's nothing impossible that you cannot do, Father, and I believe in it tonight, Father. Lord, I pray God that you'll just strengthen this nation, unite it, bring it back together, Father. And Lord, get rid of the separation and all of the crime and the evil that is even going unnoticed that have, Lord, not even made the headlines that is unrealistic of what's happening in this world today. And bless us tonight in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Well, I thank God as we pray tonight. Oh, how he loves you and me tonight. Oh, how he loves you and me. Oh, how he loves you and me. He gave his life. What more could he give? Oh, how he loves you. Oh, how he loves me. Oh, how he loves you and me. Jesus to Calvary did go His love for mankind to show What He did there brought hope from despair Oh how He loves you Oh how He loves me Oh how He loves you and me Thank God Keep us lifted up in your prayers. I thank God as we met today for our arrangements over at Parnick Jennings. This coming Tuesday, from five to eight, we'll have our viewing. He'll be helping us as we come together and we owe a great debt to him. And so you come and be with us. The Lord, if you can, if not, you pray for us that as we celebrate the life of my mother of a big family of 15. She was the fifth, the fifth child and the second daughter of a family of 15 with a set of twins. And so we want to celebrate her life. Amen. As we look tonight, there's only one way to the promise. Amen. As we look at this tonight, Job chapter 23 verses 8 through 10 the Bible says behold I go forward but he is not there and backward but I Perceive I cannot perceive him on the left hand where he doeth work But I cannot behold him he hath of himself on the right hand that I cannot see him But he knoweth the way that I take when he hath tried me. I Shall come forth as gold i think god as we look at the is there's only one way to the promised land a man here's we begin to look at this uh... scripture tonight and begin to realize that joe says i've searched in the east but god is not there i have not found a when i searched in the west god has been at work in the north and in the south but still i have not seen him yet god knows every step i take If he tests me, he will find me pure. Boy, I thank God as we look at this. You say, how do you come by this tonight? One of the last things that my mother was saying as she was still aware and able to speak, she began to say, it's enough, it's enough. And I thank God as I think about that tonight, I begin to think of that in Hebrew. When I begin to think of it in Hebrew, day I knew. You say your mom knew Hebrew? No, she didn't. But I thank God she knew the Lord. And boy, was she powerful in the spirit of God. And she said, as the last words, some of the last words that she was saying, peace of mind, Lord, peace of mind. It's enough. It's enough. I thank God, I'm glad that Jesus is enough. Day I knew, I thank God, D-A-Y-E-N-U, it's enough, amen. Well, I thank God when Jesus does something, it's referred to of the Passover satyrs, amen, because everything that he did for the children of Israel, it didn't matter if he left something out. It was enough what he did. He didn't have to really do anything extra. Amen. And that's where I'm going with this praise God because the Holy Spirit speaks and I listened to everything. Amen. Even the last words that my mom said that were a blessing to me. Today we look and we see the news and we become discouraged. Day in and day out, we see some of the horrible crimes and ghastly acts that people commit. Think of all the appalling acts reported in just one week or in one city. Keep in mind that that news covers only people who get caught, and in many cases, only those who are newsworthy. I wonder how many go unreported, amen. How many are undiscovered? This goes on day after day and city after city in the world around today, amen. I tell you, as we look at this, when some of us are striving to live righteous lives and follow the Lord, it's easy to wonder how God can allow so much evil and corruption in the world and seemingly do nothing about it. This was Job's question. This was Job's complaint. He was committed to the Lord, he loved the Lord with all of his heart, and yet it was he who had lost everything that he owned and cherished. It was he who was enduring such excruciating pain. It was he who was being personally attacked and scorned by all. And I'm going to tell you as we look and realize that while Job was suffering, many of the wicked appeared to be healthy and prospering. He who was innocent suffered while so many of the guilty were living free and going unpunished. You know, as we look at the passage, Job confronts what he considers to be grave injustices. Nowhere else in the book does Job confront the sins of the wicked as directly or as in such detail as here. His chief grievance is that the wicked commit all of these sins and they are not immediately judged, at least not judged in this life. But we look at judge reply to one of the three friends of Eliphaz and we should try to place ourselves in his shoes to understand what he was feeling. He suffered for no apparent reason. And the more that he cried out for God's help, the more silent and further away God seemed to be. You see, this goes with some of the things that my mother told me that I'll not go into detail that I don't understand. But I thank God as we look and realize the bitter complaints of Job. They were three of them from chapter 23 and chapter 24. I tell you, instead of arguing with his friends or compromising his integrity by giving in to Eliphaz's appeal, Job ignores them completely and he speaks to and about the Lord. And Job has already made it clear that his dispute was not with men but with God. And he emphasizes the fact in his speech that we can paraphrase in Job 23.2. He says, my complaint today is bitter and I have to keep a heavy hand on myself to keep from doing nothing but groaning. Boy, I tell you, I wonder, many of us grown today about things. You know, is this your heart's cry? You long to hear from God, but all you sense is silence? Because in frustration, you remember the time that you merely whispered his name, and his presence was immediately there. The stillness that you want to shout, God, where are you? Welcome to the wilderness, amen, because you are in good company. Moses, Joseph, David, Job, Jesus, the procession of travelers is long throughout the Bible, amen. I'll tell you. As we look and realize for the wilderness is a necessary season a man in the life of every child of God It cannot be bypassed for the promised land cannot be reached without going through the wilderness of life today And there's only one way to the promised land. So since we cannot avoid the wilderness Let's try to understand what that wilderness is Hallelujah Well, I thank God that the Bible tells us in 1 Chronicles, amen, as we look at the Word of God, amen, and it tells, and the children of Iscachar, which were men that had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes to everything there's a season a time to every purpose under the heaven Hallelujah, and Luke said ye hypocrites ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth But how is it that you do not discern this time? Jesus rebuked the multitudes because they look for the wrong thing at the wrong time and many of you right now may be looking at America and you're looking at the wrong thing at the wrong time. A farmer got to understand the purpose of the seasons in the order for his crop to benefit fully from God's plan. Many Christians behave without wisdom. when they enter the wilderness seasons of their journey of life and in constant searching for an escape route, they unwittingly prolong their time in the wilderness because there's only what? One way to the promised land. Hallelujah. The wilderness is not negative for those who obey God. No, it's not. God's purpose in leading Israel to the wilderness was to test them, to train them, and to prepare them to be sanctified warriors. God's trying to test you. God's trying to train you. He's trying to prepare you. Amen? To get ready for the promised land. Hallelujah. Boy, I'm glad Mom's done crossed over the Jordan River, praise God. Boy, she's already shouting in heaven, and she's seeing some things. And having a family reunion, praise God, hallelujah. And so I thank God every one of us as we begin to look and realize right now that God's purpose in leading Israel through the wilderness was to test them, to train them, and to prepare them to be sanctified warriors. But instead, the Israelites perceived the wilderness as a punishment, and so they murmured, they complained, And they lusted constantly. What was to have been a brief wilderness journey became a lifetime experience. There's only one way to the promised land. And what we see, the wilderness, is not a sign of God's disapproval, hallelujah. Every one of us, as we look and realize tonight, that god uh... is is not a sign of god's disapproval loop tells us he says and jesus being full of the holy ghost returned from georgia and this was after his baptism and was led by the spirit into the wilderness a wilderness is not god's rejection of you but his preparation of you his preparation you see god might be hiding from you the way joe thought it You know, it is almost as if God was hiding from me was what Job was trying to tell us tonight. I thank God that all the things that he said, he said, man, God, where are you at? Oh, that I knew where I might find him, that I might come even to his seat, which is the throne. This was another appeal to meet God in court and to have a fair trial. Job was prepared to state his case and present his arguments and let God give the verdict. And Job was confident that despite God's great power as a lawgiver, he would win his case for he was an upright man and God could not condemn the upright in his heart. Because he said, there's an upright man that could present his case before him and I would be delivered forever from my judge, a man. And so I thank God, every one of us. As we look in real life, how does a mere man go about finding God? If Job went forward or backward, east or west, to be left or to the right, north or south, he could not see God or even catch a quick glimpse of Him. And of course, God is present everywhere. According to Psalms 139, verses 7 through 12, praise God, but Job wanted a personal meeting with God. He had questions to ask and arguments to present, and God knew where Job was. He was in the furnace. Amen, he was in the furnace hallelujah, and so I thank God as we look and realize in a job a 23 Verse 10 that the Bible says But he knoweth the way that I take when he hath tried me I shall come forth as gold amen amen Boy, I think God, yeah, sometimes God puts us in the furnace. It is a furnace of God's appointment, not because of Job's sin, not because of yours, but God would use Job's affliction to purify him and to make him a better man. And this is not the only answer to the question. Why, why do the righteous suffer? But it is one of the best. It can bring the sufferer great encouragement. Scripture often uses the image of a furnace to describe God's purified ministry through suffering. Hallelujah. See, I have refined you, though not as silver. I have tested you in the furnace of affliction, according to Isaiah 48, 10. Hallelujah. That he tells us Israel's suffering in Egypt was like that of an iron in a melting furnace. When God puts his own people into the furnace, he keeps his eye on the clock. and his hand on the thermostat and he knows how long and he knows how much and we may question why he does it to begin with or why he doesn't turn down the heat or why he doesn't turn it off. But listen, our questions as we go forth, amen. or only evidence, sometimes of unbelief. But the answer is, but he knows the way that I take when he has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. Gold does not fear the fire. The furnace can only make the gold pure, and it can only make it brighter. And so I thank God every one of us as we go through life today and realize how precious that it is, amen. But I thank God we also look at the wilderness as not a sign of God's disapproval, but also we see God's works in our lives all the way through the wilderness. Amen, and that's when we come in to date date eat new date. He knew I thank God Hey, it would have been enough is what it means. It's enough. We couldn't have asked for more We could have we could have died content. You know what my mother didn't know Hebrew, but that's exactly what I heard her say It's enough. Well, I thank God whatever the Lord had did for her in her life. I When he saved her as a young girl hallelujah, it was enough. Amen the blood of jesus was enough in the hebrew day He knew day he knew hallelujah It's enough if he had brought us listen if he had not brought us out of egypt And he had not carried out the judgments against them day. He knew it would have been enough. Hallelujah. Praise god. Amen If he had carried out judgments against them, amen, and not against their idols, day, he knew it would have been enough. If he had destroyed their idols and had not smitten their firstborn, day, he knew it would have been enough, hallelujah. Boy, I thank God as we look at it's enough when it comes to Jesus, hallelujah, amen. Boy, I tell you, I'm often grieved by the lack of thankfulness in this old world and in my own heart. I'm saddened by those that do not know God and fail to see His loving hand in all of creation. I'm saddened by the Jewish people that have all through history of God's love that they see as a group of a nation, amen, but they've lost the deep reverence and worship of what it's all about, that Jesus is the Messiah. And he's already come, praise God. But mostly I'm saddened by Christians who place their trust in the sacrifice of Jesus and yet live their life with an attitude which says this. Listen to me. What have you done for me lately, God? What have you done for me lately, Jesus? You must not care about me because you know what? My job no longer satisfies me. Or my finances are a mess. Or I'm unhappy in my relationship. Hey, can we even begin to understand how this must sound to God? When you were still powerless. When you were dead in your sins. Amen. God sent his son to die so that we could live. So that we could live because of his love. And I tell you, and yet we complain and grow more about all of the trifle stuff that is out there today. Man, that's sad. You know, that is so sad today that all of these things are happening to us. And so I tell you, as we look and realize right now, that God wants to bless us tremendously, amen. And so I tell you, as we look and realize how good the Lord is to us in all the things, through faith and the sacrifice of Jesus, we're given the ability to stand and to live in the presence of a holy God, and His death and His resurrection is completely sufficient, amen. I tell you, He did even more than that. He gave us His Spirit to strengthen us and to guide us in His truth, and He gave us His peace, which surpasses all human understanding. Peace, Lord. Peace, Lord, my mom said. And so, man, I'm going to tell you, as we look and realize how truly blessed we are each and every day, amen. Day I knew, I tell you, there's only one way to the promised land, and it's through the wilderness, amen. It's enough. Amen. No matter what God's done for you, it's enough. Amen. Boy, I thank God. He said in Deuteronomy 8, He said, And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, to prove thee, to know what was in thy heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or no. I tell you, all the way, my Savior leads me. Old Fannie Crosby wrote it. All the way, my Savior leads me. He's leading you each and every day, praise God. He's giving you everything you need, hallelujah. Boy, I tell you, He's the Savior that leads. Boy, He gives us the path that we climb today. Well, I thank God it is of the Lord's mercies that were not consumed because his compassions fail not they are new every morning Great is thy faithfulness hallelujah, and the psalmist said bless the lord. Oh my soul all that is within me bless his holy name bless the lord Oh my soul forget not all of his benefits who forgiveth all thy iniquities who healeth all of thy diseases who redeemeth thy life, hallelujah, from destruction, who crowneth thee with love and kindness, praise God, and turn them mercies, who satisfies thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles. Boy, I tell you, hallelujah, God gives us everything. Day I knew, it's enough, praise God. I tell you, if he had not forgiven all my sin but never blessed me again, day I knew. I tell you, if he had filled me with the Holy Ghost but never let me feel his presence ever again, day I knew. Hallelujah, it's enough what Jesus did. It's more than enough on the cross of Calvary, praise God. Boy, I thank God for peace of mind, praise God. And so I thank God as we look that God, Job said God was hiding from him. Later on, he was talking about, Job said, God's worrying me. You know, in Job chapter 23 verses 13 through 17, but we're not getting into that tonight, amen. Well, I thank God. Many of us today think that we're standing alone by ourselves, but the Lord is with us, and we're never alone no matter what. Even with this COVID-19 that separated us so many months from our mother during this time, that it was precious lost time, that this old fleshly nature can become angry about it and all the things of that that took place. But listen, my mother raised me right to know that Jesus is enough. And I thank God it is that God works in our lives all the way through the wilderness, amen. He never gives up on us no matter what, praise God. And then, in closing, the wilderness is not a place of defeat to those who trust God, amen. The wilderness is not a sign of God's disapproval. God works in our lives all the way through the wilderness, amen, even when you realize it. Hey, He ain't stopping in your wilderness journey. He's working in your life just right now, amen. You may not look to the east and the north and the south, as Job said, and say, man, God, where are you? What's happening in America? Where are you at? He's right here, praise God. But I thank God the wilderness is not a place of defeat to those who trust God. And I'm telling you tonight, as I uh... uh... talk to you tonight the blessings of god and what he's been given each and every one of us uh... in this christian walk as we go through our wilderness today under the instruction from the lord israel defeated the amirites in numbers twenty one he defeated the midianites in numbers thirty one and the people of bashan in numbers twenty one while wandering in the wilderness they had victory if god's purpose was for them to experience defeat He wouldn't have told them to defend their position. Just because God isn't giving you the miracle that you want doesn't mean that he's not working miracles on your behalf. Do you hear me out there? He's still working things on your behalf. It may not be the miracle that you're seeking right now, but he's still doing marvelous things in America. And don't let your personal situation slow down what God wants to do in your church. Amen? Because I thank God. God will bless you tremendously. Day I knew, amen. Every one of us, there's only one way to the promised land. You say, how's that, preacher? Through the wilderness, amen. God will begin to strengthen you. God will begin to use you and make you. And I thank God each and every one of us, as we go through life, God will give you exactly what you need. Well, I thank God we don't stop here. I thank God they went on to claim the land. And I thank God, but also the animals that grazed on that land. They took the flocks and the donkeys and the oxen and All of the things that were there, God was with them, amen, as they went through the wilderness, one battle after the next, amen, after the cities, after city. I thank God. All of these things, we begin to realize how beautiful the Lord works on our behalf and gives us the victory that only he can give us, amen. My mom said, as I was listening to her, as if she was talking to the Lord himself, amen, it's enough, it's enough, amen. Well, I thank God. As we realize that when it comes to Jesus, it's more than enough. Everything that he did on the cross of Calvary, a man, the biggest mathematical miracle in the world is 3 million Israelites that were in that wilderness day. I knew Amen. 1,500 tons of food daily. Two freight trains, each a mile long. Day I knew. Amen. 4,000 tons of firewood daily. A few more freight trains. 11 million gallons of water daily. A freight train with tank cars, 1,800 miles long. Day I knew. It's enough. Hallelujah. Amen. To cross the Red Sea in one night required a space of three miles wide so that they could walk 5,000 abreast. a campground, two-thirds the size of Rhode Island every night, and they were 40 years, 14,600 days in transit. Listen, let me tell you something, the day I knew. Israel murmured because God didn't give them what they wanted but in the wilderness you receive what you need the daily bread Not what you want God sometimes only provides what you need to survive We call this lacking but our wants are not needs neither should a season of abundance be viewed as God's and So Deuteronomy 8 3 says and as they as he humbled thee and suffered thee to hunger and fed thee with manna You know what? Which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know that he might make thee know that man doeth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doeth man live. In Deuteronomy 8, 3. Israel never missed a meal. It was the same meal for 40 years. Listen, their clothes and their shoes never wore out. Their wardrobe was quite outdated after 40 years, and the scenery stayed the same every single day. That's how God tests us. We get only what our flesh needs, not what it wants. And they were hungry because God had removed what they desired. When they kept murmuring, He finally gave it to them, but allowed them to suffer the consequences. I'm going to tell you, Psalms 106. They soon forgot his works. They wanted not for his counts. They waited not for his counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness and tempted God in his desert. And he gave them their requests, but sent learnedness into their soul. Listen, God still wants to know whether his people will seek his face by relationship, a personal relationship, or just by his hand through the provisions and the things. Are you in a relationship? Are you just concentrating on the provisions like they were? The wilderness is not a place of defeat to those that trust God. If you seek only his hand, you know what? You may not recognize his face. Many people are happy as long as they get what they want from God. But upon entering dry times and seasons through the wilderness, the motive of their hearts is really revealed. And so I'm going to tell you, each and every one of you, there's only one way to the promised land, and that's through the journey of wilderness. Anytime the focus is on self, We complain. Paul understood the principle of the need versus won't in Philippians chapter 4 verses 11 through 13. Not that I speak in respect of warning for I have learned and whatsoever state I am therefore to be content. I know both how to be a base and I know how to abound. Everywhere, in all things, I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ, which strengthened me. There's a season for your willingness, which you perceive as the absence of His presence. God is preparing a new wineskin. You're that wineskin. For a fresh move of his spirit. He's getting you ready to fill you up with a new wine luke chapter 5 verses 37 He says but no man put this new wine into an old bottle else the new wine will burst the bottles And be spilled and the bottles shall perish. Hey, josh and anna. He's putting a new Wine, I thank god every one of you. Thank god. Hey dan He's putting in a new wine, but he ain't putting it in a old wine skin. He's putting it in new, amen. But new wine must be put into new bottles, and both are preserved, and no man also hath drunk old wine straight where he desireth new, for he hath the old is better. Oh, I thank God as I listen to my mom. It's enough. It's enough. Jesus is more than enough for your baby, for your eye window, for your back, And for whatever death that has come into families, he's more than enough. Because wineskins in Jesus's day were made of sheepskin, which were flexible, pliable. When the wine was first put in, they stretched easily. Listen. And they would yield without resistance. But however, as the years went by, the atmosphere would absorb all the moisture out of that wineskin, leaving it brittle and hard. And now, if the wine was poured out, At the new wine poured in, the skin could handle neither the weight of the new wine nor the fermentation process because it was now rigid and brittle and could break easily. What they did was soak the skin in water for several days and then rub olive oil on it. That made it flexible and pliable again. But in order to rejuvenate the old wine skin, they had to pour out the old wine. That meant no wine in the vessel, no tangible presence of God, a wilderness. Listen to me, a wilderness. The season, the reason that God withdraws his presence is to cause you to seek him, for seeking makes you flexible and pliable again, and ready for a move of his spirit. Look out, Josh. Look out, Anna. Hey, look out, Wendell. Hey, look out, Dan. Look out, Sister Susie. Look out for you ones out there that are in need, because God allows us to go through a period of no wine, and we then become very thirsty for the new wine. I thank God, as Luke was telling us. What does Psalmist say in Psalm 63? He says, O God, thou art my God. Early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee. My flesh longeth For thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary There's only way one way to the promised land and that's through the wilderness That's through the wilderness that the Lord has us a man. So he's working on each and every one of us a man the only way There's only one way to the promised land Jesus Christ has prepared that way through the wilderness, amen, and he's given us, amen, everything that we need. Let's remember the blessings that we've already been given by God as we look down and we realize that he sent his only son. The day I knew Jesus is enough. Father, we praise you and thank you tonight. Thank you for a wonderful mother, Lord, that has given every bit of the love that a mother could give. And we thank you for the last words that we share some of that with the church tonight. How powerful God is. It's enough. It's enough. I thank God. Lord, you have given us more than enough on the cross of Calvary through the blood that was shed from your son that will take care and meet every need in our life. It'll heal babies with holes in their heart. It'll take care of eyes that need to be reconstructed backs that are hurting father families that are grieving America. That's in a mess criminals that have not got punished yet, but yet will because it will happen father tonight. He'll America Lord because it is enough what you have given us. We don't need to be asking for more and more of this because Lord, right now you're getting us pliable because you fixing to put some new wine in us as we go through the wilderness and the journey.
