Longing for Salvation to Come

Just like the well-known hymn, 'O Come, O Come Emmanuel', David looks out at the sinfulness of man and the ruin the fall has brought --both in the world and in his own heart, and he longs for the Redeemer to come from Zion. Here we see what the incarnation is all about: Jesus come to save His people from their sins.
