Responding to Jesus: The Undercover Christian

Has your commitment to Jesus ever put your reputation, comfort or Joseph of Arimathea had been a secret believer in Jesus. His faith members of the Sanhedrin convinced Pilate to execute Jesus. Some Christians live like this still today, keeping their belief a private matter in a world that belittles or is hostile toward faith in Christ. "Joseph... taking courage, went into Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus." Mark 15:43 (NKJV) It took the bloody cross of Jesus to bring Joseph out into the open. And when it did, other secret believers followed: Nicodemus, who had once visited Jesus under cover of darkness, helped Joseph place Jesus' body in the tomb. Both men risked their personal safety, and their social standing, and their reputations to step out of the shadows of secret, tentative faith and openly profess Jesus with their lives.
