Hey, good morning, everyone.
Welcome to another Morning Devotion with Brother Mark, where we are
walking together on our walk with Christ. Today is December
the 6th, 2024. Well, you know, I've said that
introduction so many times, I almost say it without thinking, and
we're walking together on our walk with Christ. That means
you're walking together with me. And maybe I'm walking with
you. Hopefully you might use this
as part of your walk with Christ. But part of my walking with Christ
is that I listen to podcasts and I was listening to a podcast
today and it was talking about amazingly, I think it was Easter
at Christmas time or Christmas time at Easter or something like
that. It was on renewing your mind. But anyway, it was talking
about what I've been preaching in John 13 through 16. And in that, I forget the speaker's
name now, but he was talking about John 16, 27. And it was
something that the apostles came to know. It was something that
Jesus wanted them to know. John 16, 27, for the Father himself
loveth you. Now, I don't know if you really
even think about that, but it's not just Jesus that loves you,
but the Father loves you. And we know that the love that
the Father has is an eternal love. He loved us before the
world began. He loves us because He chooses
to love us. He loves us with an everlasting
love, and He loves us enough to give us eternal life. So today,
I want you to think about the Father loving you. And you notice it's, for the
Father Himself loveth you. That's a love that continues
on. It's a love that's never going to cease. the winter months
can sometimes be difficult and you know it starts getting dark
earlier in the day and the weather turns cold and the bones ache
and you know you don't feel like going out and there's just lots
of things about the winter months that can cause you know a bit
of depression as we think about the things that's coming at the
end of the year and all the hustle and bustle and all of that. But
if you're beginning to feel downhearted, if you're beginning to feel down
and depressed, just remember this, the Father loves you. I
don't want you to forget that. The Father loves you. And so
if you're feeling heavy in this world, find joy in the sacrifice
that Jesus made of himself for you and that the Father loves
you. Don't be down and depressed.
The Father loves you, and the Father's gonna continue to love
you, and He's gonna love you forever. So just be encouraged
today that the Father loves you, and that's a pleasant thought. So if you're walking together
with me on my walk with Christ, I'm trying to focus on the fact
that the Father loves me today. What a blessing, the eternal
God, the Father, whose name is Hallowed, loves me." What an
encouragement for us today, and I pray it encourages you. Heavenly
Father, we just thank you today. We thank you that you love us,
and I know we don't understand the full impact of that, but
I pray that our hearts will be encouraged as we think about
your continual love for us. You loved us so much, you sent
your only begotten son to us, that whosoever believes in him
might not perish, but have everlasting life. Thank you, Father, for
your love. In the name of Jesus, I pray,
amen. Have a good day today. Have a
good weekend. Get to church on Sunday. Till next time, Brother
Mark signing off.
