Getting Real with God

We all need to get real with God. Getting real with God involves real repentance from sin. The great news is real repentance means full forgiveness from our Heavenly Father and blessed change in our lives. "Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." (Acts 3:19-20). We all make the same fundamental mistake when we are confronted by problems and troubles of various kinds, particularly in relationships. We all look at the other person. We try to change the other person. We have no power really with the other person. We need to start with ourselves. Where is my sin in this? What does my reaction say about my heart? What are you teaching me, heavenly Father? Where have I bought in to the devil's lies? Help me to turn from my idols of heart and receive your forgiveness and love, and drink deeply from your truth, the truth of your Word. Help me to remove the log from my own eye, for Your great glory!
