Intuition, chapter 7, verse 3. Thy two breasts are like two
young rose that are twins. Thy neck is as a tower of ivory. Thine eyes like the fish pools
in Heshbon by the gate of Bathrabim. Thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon
which looketh toward Damascus. Father, we do pray for You to
bless the Holy Word of God that You preserve, Lord, by the death
of many martyrs. This Bible is in our lap today. Let us treasure it, Father. Forgive
us for forsaking it, Father, or taking it for granted. We
do pray today that You'll bless Your church. Bless the preacher
in the name of Jesus. Amen. As we look at these descriptions throughout
these verses, I still tend to think that we
are dealing with a description of the beautiful wife with shoes,
as seen in the first verse. And therefore, He's praising
her beauty and all of her clothed adornment. Clothed adornment. Just as the book of Revelation
speaks of the words, King of kings and Lord of lords. written on the Lord's thigh.
It's not a tattoo, but it's written on his pants leg. Everybody got the Word of God?
Are we in church today? Amen. Pay attention. It's not
a tattoo written on his pants leg. I mean, written on his leg. It's a some type of a banner or some
type of writing that is written upon his clothes. If so, and we're dealing with
clothes, a description of clothes, when he describes her in verse
3, this would mean that biblical modesty for a woman was never
meant to hide the fact that she is a girl or that she is female. The point of biblical modesty
is to not wear clothes that are tight so that these differences
become unseemly. So the goal of modesty is to
make proper distinctions between male and female. While upon the ladies it hides
with loose flowing garments that which would be lascivious or
provoking of lust. So for this reason, and I'm going
to tell you, the Bible is very reasonable. It says in the book
of Acts, it's not reason that we leave the Word of God and
serve tables. The Word of God is very reasonable.
If you'll just think about certain things, it'll get you through
a lot of issues. Modesty is very reasonable. Instead
of walking around like you're clueless, wondering about certain
things, think about things. Think about it. God never intends to hide that
you're a woman. But you don't have to accentuate
those areas that should not be accentuated
in public. For this reason, we don't have
fellows walking around, we shouldn't, with words and signs and banners, where you ought to sit down on
the seat, right? Is that common sense? When it
had the words blazoned across the Lord's thigh, He's sitting
on a horse. There's nothing unseemly whatsoever
about having a banner on His thigh. Nothing unseemly whatsoever. But I do not think that it's
proper to have words written where you do not want your Christian brothers to gaze,
right? If you don't want your Christian brothers to gaze at
a certain area, then we ought not have words emblazoned there
with signs for us to read. Now, that's pretty common sense,
right? Is that reasonable? All right. He goes on and says, thy neck
is as a tower of ivory. Her neck was said to hold chains
of gold. And from the analogy of animals
used for work or riding, the neck, like the head, is a symbol
of either stubbornness or a yielding spirit. So he praises her neck,
little ones. Are you yielding to the Lord? The spiritual application that
we preached upon is that we ought to have a godly church, we ought
to be godly in our individual lives, and we ought to be stiff-necked
toward the devil. You ought to be stubborn toward
the devil. But you ought to be submissive to Christ and His
words, right? So when he praises our neck as
a tower of ivory, a neck that's not going to obey the devil,
yield to him, go with the world wherever the world wants to go,
but is going to be very yielding to the Lord and to His preaching,
to the Holy Bible. Of course, the neck holds the
head, and the eyes and nose are parts of the head, as are mentioned
next. He speaks of a high, beautiful
tower, and I believe the Holy Ghost is saying that our discernment
must be spiritual and not carnal. As a church, you have a spiritual
war to fight, and a tower is an important defense to see danger
coming. So you need to have eyes to see,
to discern the time, to discern people. Watch out for false prophets.
Watch out for wolves. Watch out for snakes. You have
to have eyes. You have to discern your own
hearts. Notice Habakkuk 2, I will stand
upon my watch and set me upon the tower. What's the tower for?
For looking, for seeing danger. But notice what it says here
in Habakkuk, and will watch to see what he will say unto me
and what I shall answer when I am reproved. So part of this high tower, this
neck like a tower and these eyes, is to have those dove's eyes
that are open to God listening in the sermon. What's God trying
to say to me today? See, I'm not some great eloquent preacher. I never claimed to be. But I
pray if I get in this book and study, I'll have something for
you today. And I pray the Holy Ghost will deliver it to you.
And I've said many times, if He can speak through an ass,
He can speak through this preacher. Amen? So, let's have this neck and these eyes set
upon this tower to watch and say, what's the Lord trying to
tell me today? What do I need to learn from
God? And to always be hungry, always wanting to grow. And God
will teach you. If you're hungry, He'll fill
you, right? If you're thirsty, you're going to be filled. And
that's the whole point, to hunger and thirst after righteousness,
to want to be better, to want to learn. He says, Thine eyes like the
fish pools in Heshbon, and like the neck we see the dove's eyes
of the church, soft and yielding to God with inner locks, having
humility and shamefacedness, but sharp and shrewd as the eagle
eye when it comes to Satan's schemes. Being able to expose the devil
to know what he's trying to do to you. To be able to say to
yourself, why art thou cast down, O my soul? To be able to analyze
yourself, look at yourself and say, I know what the devil's
trying to do here. We're not ignorant of his devices. And
when you study the Scriptures, when you open your eyes of your
understanding, there'll be like these clear fish pools in Hezbollah,
wide open to what the devil's trying to do and open unto God. But we've had a couple of sermons
throughout this book on the neck and on the eyes. So I want to
examine the nose in some detail today as the subject of my sermon. He says to the beautiful wife
in our text, thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon. Everybody, all you little ones,
put your finger on your nose. Do you have a tower nose? Do
you? Is your nose like a tower? Luke? No? thy nose is as the tower
of Lebanon. Well, we know the eyes speak
of our spiritual or intellectual understanding or discernment.
The eyes speak of your understanding. Okay? Eyes, understanding. The Bible says the eyes of your
understanding, being enlightened. So the eye speaks of your understanding. But what then does the nose speak
of in the Bible? Now, we know in our common culture
We will say that that woman is very nosy. You look down through
the years, you've had some nosy people sometimes that will come
into churches and they'll cause quite a lot of trouble, right? And when they leave, it's almost
like everybody just rests. It's like, wow, I didn't realize
they stirred up so much trouble. So the Bible speaks of being
nosy, but it doesn't use that word. It speaks of the busy body. And the Bible puts it right in
the middle of a lot of bad sins, like, let none of you suffer
as a murderer or as a busy body. Wow! Well, what's a busy body?
It's a body that's very busy, right? But it's not busy doing
what it should be doing. It's busy getting in other people's
business, right? All right, the Bible speaks of
women that are taddlers. It speaks of young women that
tattle. They just sit around and speaking
idly. And the Bible says you ought
to go get married and have children and take care of your house and
do what's right instead of sitting back being idle all the time. Not everyone's called to be married,
but the Bible is. Let's find something to do for
God. Get right and get busy and get occupied and get out of other
people's business. And there's a right way to be
involved in people's business. There's certainly a parent has
to watch over the children. You have a pastor's got to watch
over a church. You have all of us in one sense
are to help remove the speck out of our brother's eye, making
sure we remove the beam out of ours, but the mode out of your
brother's eye. There is a busybodiness, a nosiness
that we should not have. Hold this in your mind because
I do not think that the common idea of being nosy as being a
busybody is far off from what we're going to see when we look
in the scripture to see what the nose means. Now, it says
the noses of the Tower of Lebanon, and Lebanon was known for the
tall, wonderful cedars that had a wonderful smell. All the trees
of Lebanon throughout the Bible had wonderful scent, aroma. So
the high tower would speak of the sharpness of this smell,
this sense of smell. Whatever the nose represents,
she has a high tower. Her nose is as a tower of Lebanon,
and it has the idea that it is very sharp, very keen. And it shows us also that like
a high tower, whatever the nose represents, it's very useful
for spiritual warfare, spiritual warfare. This means you need to have eyes
of your understanding and they need to be open. Your ears need
to be open, but you need to have your nose focused and alert. We know the nose is an important
part of our sensory experience. From reading the Bible, I found
out that they spent far more time and effort not just making
sure a place looked nice to the eyes. We know how important it
is in our environment to have the sounds to be peaceful and
how wonderful it is to come out here and I mean, it's so quiet
in my house that I had to unplug my clock just because the second
hand is just so loud. We've got a wonderful blessing
to not have the rap music and that type of thing that you have. So, providing a good environment
for your eyes, a spiritual environment for your ears, but in the Bible
they spent time making sure things smelled nice. And they spent
a lot more time dealing with how things smelled. We see this throughout Song of
Solomon. I believe they were very wise
in regard to how smells or scents affect you physically. What type
of emotions do they bring forth? And the husband and wife are
seen throughout Song of Solomon using various ointments and that
type of thing. Even the man smelled as myrrh
and some of these things. When you look in the book of
Proverbs, you see the bad wife, nevertheless, she knew how to
use cinnamon to entice the man. And if you research in various
areas You'll see that these ancient people understood some things
about how the body works and how the body responds to certain
aromas. In fact, you'll see this in the
book of Proverbs because it teaches us that ointment and perfume
rejoice the heart. Now, it's not talking about this
chemical junk that everybody goes and tries to use these artificial
things, but nevertheless, I believe people are just beginning
to understand how ointments and perfume actually can help you
feel certain ways. It doesn't mean it's magic or
witchcraft that you just put this ointment on you and somebody's
going to change how they think and that type of thing. We're
not talking about that, but we are talking about certain moods
that you're going to get in, certain physical responses that
you're going to have from certain ointments. And so, look at that
more in the Bible. Investigate it and think about
that. This whole realm of the nose
is far more important physically than many have imagined. In fact,
we know the animal kingdom survives largely by their sense of smell. A dog, a third part of its brain,
unlike humans, is simply for processing various scents. And
you notice how dogs sniff out everyone they meet, right? Well, they're getting information,
so when you Look at your dog and he's sniffing all over the
place. The dog's getting information. He's processing things. There's
all these different things, this information. They don't have
to talk with one another. They're getting all of this information
in their brains from simply smelling. You look at the deer and look
how they survive by their sense of smell. So just as what we
see and what we hear are important for our health, this whole realm
of your nose is more important than you realize. And some of
you have better noses than others do. And don't miss this point
now. In the Song of Solomon, it speaks
of the eyes of both the wife and the husband. But it only speaks of the nose
of the wife. the nose of the wife. Now, this
may not mean much. Both men and women have noses.
However, many have learned from experience that women have been
blessed with a better sense of smell than men have. In fact, this isn't just some fable. Modern researchers
have confirmed that women have almost 50% more cells than men
that control the processing of various smells. So this is a
biological fact. It's not just observation that
women can usually smell better than men. Their sense of smell
is better than men. It's now becoming a biological
fact, a reality. If you have any detective work
that you need. You might hire Nina. She can walk into a room and
sometimes smell who's been there. She can grab a pet and say, I
know who's touched this. That's very valuable for detective
work. Very valuable. And it's quite
amazing, is it not? But what does this represent
to us? What does the nose mean figuratively? In the Bible, look
at Isaiah 65. Which remain among the graves
and lodge in the monuments. That's not good, is it? Oh, you
don't want to be one of these people associated with death.
You don't want to be one of these teenagers that grow up and like songs about
death and have skulls all over you and that whole type of thing.
That's all satanic, isn't it? Like the devil possessed man
in the New Testament. Notice here they eat swine's flesh and
broth of what type of thing? Abominable things. So their soup
has all this abominable mess in it. You ought to be able to
look at things and say, I shouldn't eat that. That's gross. Which
say, stand by thyself, come not near to me. They think they're
holy, for I am holier than thou. You ever seen people that are
living like the devil, but think they're better than others? Well,
we are walking in love, but y'all don't understand the love that
we understand. But yet you're walking in drunkenness
and adultery and all kinds of mess. Listen to what God says. He says, these are a smoke in
my nose. a fire that burneth all the day."
Now what does he mean when he says, there is smoke in my nose?
Well, smoke in your nose is offensive, isn't it? It's something that
you don't like. So God's saying, I do not like
them. I do not like them. You know, God doesn't like some
people. God benevolently loves everyone. He died for the whole
world. But that does not mean He likes
how you're living. And if you're choosing to live
bad, in some ways God doesn't like you. In fact, God says He
hates some people. He died for them and loves them
in one sense, but in another sense, He hates what they're
doing, hates their sin, and hates them. I know that's not modern
theology, but we need to understand it's Bible. It's Bible. So God
is saying that He does not like them. So right now we see, just
from reading this, that the knows has to do with who you like and
who you don't like. It has to do with that sense
of impression that you get from various people to determine whether
you like them or not. Look at Jeremiah chapter 48.
Moab hath been at ease from his youth. Should we be at ease as
Christians in this way? Should we be at ease? And he hath settled on his lease.
Should we be settled? No, that's like juice that's
down at the bottom. Everything's all settled. It
hasn't been shaken up. It's not stirred up. Little ones,
let's be good. Don't you make preacher upset.
and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath
he gone into captivity." So sometimes when you're being persecuted,
sometimes when you go through some trials, sometimes when you're
going through various things and you respond right, you're
going through some hard times, the Lord's dealing with you,
okay? And the Lord's able to mature you, to mature you. But notice, neither hath he gone
into captivity, therefore his taste remained in him, and his
scent is not changed. When you're idle Christians,
if you've not been through any hard times, or you haven't responded
to your hard times, you haven't suffered against sin and the
world, you're going to taste sweet and smell good to the world.
So God says, you know the problem with Moab? He settled down. Moab has been at ease, he's idle, and his scent has not changed.
What does he mean? He means he tastes sweet to the
world. The world likes him. Does the world like you, believer,
young person? Are you stirred up for God? Are
you zealous for God? If you are stirred up and zealous
for God, the world's not going to get a good taste around you.
Christians that are fired up, Christians that rebuke sin, Christians
that take a stand in their community, Christians that stand up and
shine the light of Jesus, Christians that are vocal in regard to their
love for Jesus and their testimony. Christians that stand up for
righteousness like Enoch and like Noah and like Elijah and
John the Baptist. Christians that will rebuke the
king if need be. Christians that will take a stand
for what's right. They are not liked by the world. And God says, their scent is
not changed. If you get out here and live
right, the Bible said, all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall
suffer persecution. They're not going to like you.
Jesus said, woe unto you and all the world likes you, right?
Because that's what they did to the false prophets in the
Old Testament. If you are carnal, they'll let you in among their
crowd and they'll like you. And this is really what's going
on in the churches. Young people want to be liked.
They want to be famous. They want to be loved. They want
to be on the front page of some magazine. They want to be stars. They want everybody to pat them
on the back and like them. Hey, I'm telling you something,
folks. When you are settled down and at ease, and you haven't
suffered against sin, suffered for Jesus, you're going to smell
good to the world. So the nose is what we use to
smell out whether we like certain people. Perhaps it's that impression
you get, that response, whether you like them. And whether you like certain
people will often depend on what you are or where you are at with
God yourself. Now, if you're rebellious and
you're not sober, You're not serious about God. You don't have a heart for Jesus. You hardly ever pray. You hardly
ever cry out to God. You don't read the Bible. Sermons are boring to you. You are not going to find other
believers who are on fire and doing right. You're not going
to like them very much. You're not going to want to be
around them. They're going to make you uncomfortable. Hey, I'm telling you, there are
homeschooled children across this nation, and I've met a lot
of them, and I'm meeting a lot more here in this area, that
are living right. It seems that they're doing it
on their own many times. I know they have good godly parents,
but some of them are just doing right because of the music they
want to listen to. They're smart, they're growing,
they're learning, and they're taking stands for
God. They say, what I want to do is
I want to be a light for Jesus. A young person told me that the
other day. I just want to be a light for Jesus. I hope you
can call me sister. I hope you can see that I am
a believer. Proverbs 29 is going to put this
thing right where it needs to be. An unjust man is an abomination
to the just, and he that is upright in the way is an abomination
to the wicked. If you're a young person, you say, you know what,
I don't really like godly, righteous children that are obedient to
their father. They just, I don't want to be around them. Well,
that's in the Bible. But when you give yourself to
the Lord fully, when you start loving the Lord, I mean, the
people I enjoy being around, when I was in the world, I would
never be around some of you folks. But maybe back then you were
different, see? And we would have got along.
But right now, I look at some of the people that I enjoy being
around and I just kind of laugh because I'm like, this is so
strange. I would never enjoy this type of company when I was
in the flesh, when I was carnal, when I was in the world. But
when you're trying to do right, and I hope I'm trying to do right,
we need to do better, amen? We need to grow and continue
growing. But I'm telling you, who you like being around, is
going to be based upon who you are, where you're at in the Lord.
If you're walking in a bunch of wicked sin, or if your heart
is wicked, you're not going to want to be around godly people. All right? So when you say to
yourself, I don't like good people, I don't get along with children
who are obedient and modest and pure, I just don't like them.
Well, there's a reason for that, brother. There's a reason for
that, sister. I hope none of you young people
have to go through some hard times. But what does it say to
Moab? Moab hasn't gone through anything. Hasn't been emptied. See, when you take a bunch of
grape juice and you empty it from vessel to vessel, it's not
sweet anymore. You understand that? Not sweet
to the world. Well, when you start getting
emptied out, I tell you what, when God started emptying me
out from vessel to vessel, and He emptied me here and emptied
me there, and I'm like, God, no more, no more, no more, I
wasn't sweet to the world anymore. I was a new person. I've been
through some hard time because I got disciplined for my sin.
And it made me sober. And my friends didn't like it
anymore. They didn't want to be around me. I didn't talk about the things
I used to talk about. I was serious now and sober about
things that should be sober. So if you're at ease and pampered,
You don't have to go through hard times. Why don't you empty
yourself out for the Lord, amen? Why don't you respond to the
preaching? You can either let the Word break you and empty
you, or you can let the trials of this world and the hard knocks
that come from sinning like the devil, you can let one or the
other break you. But why don't you just open your
heart to Jesus now and let the Word break you, amen? Isn't that
better, brother? Isn't it better than going out
here and having to be emptied out by God? God's going to make you
serious and sober. He's going to make you. If you don't let this church
do it, if you don't let this preaching do it, if you don't let your
father and mother do it, He's going to use the hard knocks
of life to do it. And then if you still end up stubborn, He's
going to let hell do it. You understand that? I hope you
get this thing straight. You are going to be righteous
and sober and holy. Oh, you're going to be sober
and holy one day if you're a believer. You know that? But it's just how severe God
has to be with you to get you that way. Now, when you get right, your
taste buds are going to change and your sense of smell is going
to change. And you'll begin to like the righteous. And those
that are wicked will be an offense to you. See? You still got to
love them and lead them to the Lord, but you don't want to hang
around them, you understand? Now, sometimes our judgment of
people is based on hard evidence. Jesus says, we'll know them by
their what? By their fruits. You'll know them by their doctrine
and you'll know them by their sin or their righteousness, one
or the other. I mean, if you want to judge
a politician, look what he's been doing in office. That's how you
judge him. Not, but do you listen to campaign
promises? Is that how you judge a politician?
Well, he said, change. He said, this is good. No, you
don't go by what they say or what they promise. How did you,
when you were in office, what did you do? Let's judge you by
your fruit, see hard evidence. But people sit back and they
say, well, I get this one impression of them. Well, I, well, why don't
you judge them by their fruits? Sometimes your judgment of people
is based upon hard evidence. It wouldn't matter if they're
likable or not, or if you get a good sense being around them,
it wouldn't matter. But at other times where there's
no information to judge upon, you get impressions that are
more what we call intuitive in nature. You say there's just something
about them. Now I believe that since our
eyes represent our rational intellectual discernment, our understanding
and our reasoning, the nose is going to represent your gut instincts. Your intuitive feelings. So you need to have both. You
need to have your eyes open to be able to judge fruit and judge
doctrine and judge what people say. But you also need to have
this intuitive sense about you. Now throughout history they have
claimed that just as women have a better sense of smell, women
have a better sense of judging intuitively. that is without
connecting the dots just being able to get a sense about somebody
women have a better ability than men usually in that type of thing and not only throughout history
but even in modern times people Generally believe that women
are better at intuition, intuitive knowledge than men are. You have
modern bumper stickers that say women are like the FBI. They
know what you're doing. They're just waiting for a chance
to confront you. Maybe that's true. Now what's
happening today is new agers are claiming that the world is
changing. They said, we're leaving the masculine age and we are
moving now to the age of Aquarius, the feminine age of goddess worship
and worshiping nature. And they're saying, we're moving
from the time when we need to reason and think to the more
feminine intuition. And they are worshipping intuition
right now. M. Scott Peck wrote a book where
he said your unconscious mind is God. They're declaring that
intuitive knowledge is everything. And they say the only way to
find out anything about God is intuitive knowledge. And much
of Christianity is there. They're not going to read something
in the Bible and say, thus saith the Lord. No. It's, I just feel
this way, or God's telling me this way. How's God telling you?
Well, I just know that, I know that, I know that, I know...
Well, you're basically through your intuitive... You think God's
communicating to you through your intuitive mind, or through
your intuitive sense. In fact, These writers of these
New Age books come out and say that in type you have a feminine
intuition in you and then you have this masculine spirit. And
people like Shakti Gawan and these other New Agers are telling
you, make sure whatever you do is you let the intuitive take
over. Walk by the feminine. Don't let the masculine be in
control. Don't say, is this reasonable?
Is it right? Just say, does it feel good?
Does it feel right? So the New Age is telling you,
follow your intuition at all costs, regardless of what scripture
says, regardless of what your mind says. Is that right? Is that right? But that's pretty
much all of Satanism. You say, what's magic? What's
occultism? What's Satanism? It's very simple. Walk like an
animal. Magic Satanism occultism is basically summed up in one
thing rebel against God do whatever you want Do whatever you like
do whatever you feel like doing and say it's God Now we know
our Bible tells us that you do have a spirit and it is masculine
in type And the Bible says you do have
a soul and guess what your King James Bible says it's feminine
in type Psalms 34 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord. And
when you study this out, many wise commentators, and I keep
finding more and more and more of them throughout history, I
found this out 20 years ago, that your soul is the realm of
your feelings and desires and intuition, feminine. And your spirit is the realm
of your understanding and reason and that type of thing. Now look what it says. Which
one do you think God is going to put in authority? He's going
to put your reason, the masculine. As we see, the wife is to obey
the husband, that type of thing. Look at Proverbs chapter 20,
the spirit of man, the spirit of man, not the soul, but the
spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward
parts of the what? The belly. So what the spirit
does, you have a mind, this ability to judge, this ability to discern. And what this searching means
is cross-examination. If your belly says, I feel that
I need to go do such and such, well, your belly might feel a
lot of things, brother. So you're to use your mind that God gave
you as a candle. How do you get that candle lit,
brother? The Word of God. He's going to light your candle,
says the Psalms. God lights my candle. How does
He light it? You go to church, you listen
to the preaching, you have the Word of God, you study it. The
only infallible light is the Word of God, right? That light's
our mind. That light's our candle. That
light's our spirit. But what is the spirit for? The spirit
is for when you get a feeling, when you get an intuition, you
are to now put it to the test, brother. You are to put it to
the test, sister. Is this right? Do I need to do
what my feelings say? My feelings are telling me this.
Is it right? Well, use your your spirit to
test it. Now, if you have a feeling that
says, I just need to stay away from there, test it with the word of God,
test it with your candle, which is your reason. And then if there's
no problems, you can follow your gut instinct, but always test
out your gut instinct. It's like this book impressions
that I used to have. written in the 1800s. It says
the first thing to do is follow Scripture, right? The next thing
is follow, is it reasonable? Is it unreasonable? And then
you have all of this other realm where sometimes you get leading
in direction, which is your gut instinct, your intuition, your
feelings. Almost all New Age and occult
books reverse what God says. They say, put the female in control. Put intuition in control over
reason. In fact, as I said, the New Agers
practically worship this realm of intuition, as do the Gnostic
so-called Christians. In fact, almost the whole world
today is drunk with this wine. And it's going to end up, headquartered
in Rome, with the Catholic Church leading it, of all religions
coming together in this goddess worship of feminism. And it's
not going to be following the Bible and Scripture and thus
saith the Lord and the King James Bible. No! It's going to be,
what do you feel, brother? What do you feel? It's all the
intuition, see. It's the worship of the feminine
principle. But now let me look at the other
side. What we need to understand is
the Bible does not say there is no use for this intuitive
knowledge. Are you glad you have a body
that can sense and feel and touch? Aren't you glad you're not just
a head sitting somewhere that can think and reason about things? Aren't you glad you can actually
relate to this world with sensory experience? In the same way, the only absolute source of knowledge
we have is the Holy Scriptures to be read by your mind. But there is this realm of intuition
and gut instinct. And as long as it's in the proper
place and properly managed, it's a powerful source of information. I have seen amazing things. To where myself as pastor and
other wise folks have finally found out that certain people
are wolves and there'd be women that knew all along. Well, how
did you know that? My own daughters. I mean, this
thing's so powerful. My own daughters have been able
to say, daddy, such and such as evil, such and such as is
guilty. Daddy. I come to find out you're exactly
right. How did you know that? See, this is a powerful source
of information, but it needs to be in its right place, see.
And what all evil is doing today is taking it out of its place
so it can get perverted. And what does the devil do? He
takes good things and perverts them, right? Man has been given
strength, see. That's man's glory. Young men,
your glory is your strength. What does Satan want you to do
with that strength? Use it for himself. Pervert it. Use it wrong. Use it to hurt women. Use it
to serve the devil. Women have been given beauty.
In many ways, you're feminine beauty. It doesn't mean you don't
have strength, but it doesn't mean men are not handsome sometimes.
But what it does mean that you have this beauty. And can women
misuse their beauty for the wrong reasons? Yes. So guess what? You can misuse the realm of intuition. You can pervert it. You can take
it out of context. You can refuse to prove all things
and put it to the standard of judge. You can get puffed up
with your beauty. You can get puffed up with your
strength. And women can get puffed up about their intuition. You
know that? So anything you start getting
proud of, you're going to fall flat on your face. See? So let
another praise you and not your own lips. Let others say you
have amazing intuitive abilities. But when you walk around and
say, oh, I've got amazing intuitive abilities, I'm always right about
this, you're going to fall. See. Haughty spirit goes before
a fall, doesn't it? So God can lead you by gut feelings
with one important qualification. The Scriptures are the only 100%
infallible absolute realm of light and you must test everything
else. And the divine order is always
scriptures, reason, and feelings, intuition. The apostles, when
they got together, they didn't say, I have a gut feeling that
we should be doing something different than just waiting on
tables here and trying to get the widows all managed. No, they
didn't say, I have a gut feeling. They said, it's not reason. See,
we need to be studying the scriptures and doing something else. So go by reason. Reason will
lead you when it's enlightened by the word of God. But gut feeling
is very important. See, intuition is very important. Almost every one of the New Agers
and Satanists and occultists will say, no, feelings come first. Intuition comes first. Everything
else can go to hell. Feelings are first. Intuition
is first. I noticed some 19th century occultists, some of the
theosophists said, well, as long as you have the masculine and
the feminine equal, as long as your intuition is equal with
the reason that's okay. Is that right? People, is that
right? No, no, that is not right. That
is not the divine order. Let me try to be clear for you.
Let's say you're walking in the woods. And you say, let's go
this way. I can smell it. You need your eyes, though, don't
you? Your nose might say, let's go this way. I know it's this
way. But you might go down a cliff. You might fall in a pit. But
you open your eyes and you say, oh, wait a second. The smell
was taking me this way. But if I would have took another
step, I would have stepped on a rattlesnake. Or I would have
walked over a cliff. So do you see how you need everything?
You need all of your senses. And there's an order, there's
due process. You say, I believe such and such is guilty. I just
feel it. And you notice if you read much of news today, the
public judgment, once they decide somebody's guilty, you're guilty
no matter what. And everybody starts blabbing,
well, I just feel this way. I just feel that. Everybody has
a feeling about it. But every now and then, you'll get a wise
person that'll stand up and says, well, you know what? Everybody
should get due process. Everybody should be innocent
until proven guilty. No matter what your gut instinct
is, they say, well, what do you think about so-and-so? Do you
think they're guilty? And every now and then, you'll see a wise
woman or a wise man. They'll say, well, it doesn't matter
how I feel about it. What matters is what due process
proves in a court of law. You need to be careful about
people that you smell and get a whiff of and think, I think
they're a wolf. I think they're evil. Well, give
them due process, you understand. What did the hippies do in the
60s? They went the ways of Satanism
and Eastern mysticism. And the hippies said, if it's
in the Bible, do it. Is that what the hippies said?
If it's reasonable, do it, right? Is that what the hippies said?
Now, you know what the hippie said, if it feels good, do it.
If it feels right. I mean, two people are meeting one another and they
say to themselves, if it feels right, if we love one another,
if we feel like we're in love, it's all about feeling right.
What does your heart say? Women today say, I don't love
my husband. My heart's over here and you
don't want me to die. My feelings do you? See, men say that. They say Facebook is responsible
for just about all divorces today, you know, or at least it's a
high percentage of divorces are involved with Facebook, you know. Are your feelings right all the
time, people? Your feelings will cause you to do some pretty wicked
things if you follow them blindly. Look at Proverbs 14. There is
a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are
the ways of death. Look at Jude. These speak evil
of those things which they know not. They don't know it from
the Bible, but what they know what? Naturally, as brute beasts,
in those things they corrupt themselves. These be they who
separate themselves sensual, having not the Spirit." Now you
can read that and say, so you know what? I never want to know
anything naturally. I never want to have any type
of sense whatsoever. Now hold on, that's not what
the Bible's saying. What the Bible is saying is don't
make that your main thing. You understand? Don't make intuition
your God. Don't make it the main thing
that you follow in determining what's right and what's wrong.
That's what the Satanists do. See? So there's this other side. We
should not make ourselves Or we should not make the mistake
of totally cutting ourselves off from intuitive knowledge. As we've already said, we've
learned that several ladies in our church have amazing intuitive
abilities. And I am not just saying that
lightly. Long before this sermon, I was
absolutely amazed at the source of intuitive knowledge. that
can smell out hypocrites and wolves long before it's manifested
in other ways. So I believe we would be very
foolish to completely deny intuitive knowledge. Just like the whole
realm of emotion, period. Does the Bible call us to be
Stoics? See, a lot of people say, well, Pastor Faust, he teaches
us to reason. He teaches us to walk by the
Spirit. He teaches us to walk by scriptures. I'm not against
emotion, people. See, did Jesus weep? He wept,
didn't he? Did Paul weep? Does the Bible
speak of bowels of compassion? Emotion is a good thing. We're
not Stoics. We don't try to deny that we
have emotions, see. We have desires and affections.
The Bible didn't say get rid of all affection. So you love
nothing. Is that what the Bible says? No, the Bible says, set
your affection on the things above. You ought to have a heart. You ought to be emotional and
feel compassion and empathy. But what we say is don't let
the emotional realm guide you. Don't let your emotions lead
you. Don't make emotional decisions
when there's no other criteria. Follow the Scriptures. You might
have a lot of emotions that they'll tell you to do all kinds of things. So we're not to be non-emotional.
We're not to completely ignore in the same way gut feelings
and intuitions. But the biblical way is to test
them, to try them by sound judgment and due process. You say, well, what's the use
then if we have to try them? Well, think about it. Your wife
or your daughters come to you and say, Daddy, I don't feel
right about that man. I think he's guilty. of something
bad. Now, you can become judge, jury,
and executioner, and just based on that bit of evidence, try
the person, or actually respond to them without trying them,
and you'd be just like the Inquisition. Let's see. Is that right, brother? No. You don't go judge people
and say, no, you can't come into my house, you're wicked, we're
going to kick you out of church because the ladies of my household
smell a rat. No, you don't do that. But you
also don't say, well, even though I'm getting all of this information
from intuition, we need to just ignore that. No. What do you
do if your wife says, I smell smoke? You investigate, brother. There's
the answer. So if you're getting information
from the intuitive realm, go investigate. Maybe you're mistaken. Maybe you ate something strange.
I don't know what we're smelling. But nevertheless, let's investigate,
right? Let's take the candle. And what's
the candle do? It discerns the belly. The belly
says, I smell smoke. So you take the candle and you
go and look and you see, whoa, there is a fire here. I'm so
glad you smelt that. So you go to somebody and you
say, well, for some reason there's some intuitive knowledge that
we're getting here about somebody. They just don't feel right about
you. What is it that you say you believe, brother? See, I'm
not going to start a witch hunt. We're not going to start an inquisition.
We're going to give you due process. What did you say you believe
about polygamy? What did you say you believe about this? What
did you say you believe about this abomination? Do you repudiate
this? Can you stand up and repudiate
this and renounce these things? Because people will play you,
brother. And sometimes they'll go under the radar. of a pastor
that's been a pastor for many, many years, of some of the wisest,
discerning brothers of the church. They'll go right under that radar.
But sometimes that women's intuition will catch it, you see. And we
don't make a judgment based on that women's intuition, but we
do go investigate. Let's investigate this thing
further. There might be a fire here, see. Aren't you glad you have a nose
and not just eyes? You could be sitting in your
house and not see smoke anywhere, but you can smell it. That's
what we're talking about, see. You can be a church and you might
not see any sign anywhere with your eyes, but the nose can smell
it, see. Something's going on. Hey, it's
not just women that have this, even though women tend to be
better at it. We took a homeless fellow one time, and remember
we were taking the homeless and feeding them on our property
and stuff, and we're getting them out of that city there in
Texas, and sometimes they would just look and they'd say, I just
feel so much better. Well, yeah, you do. You're away
from that sewer of downtown Fort Worth. And I remember one fellow
looked at it and says, can I stay here? Can I help you build something?
And my heart went out to him. And we weren't really ready to
help in that type of way and to protect. But we let this fellow
right out of prison, you know, just come. And the first time
I had him in my office, he had this big knife, this big. He
takes his shirt off and he has this big knife. And, you know,
I'm like, OK, what did I get myself into? But anyway, he helped
us build a lot of things. But he had been in prison for
many years. And we ended up having to make
him leave eventually. But one time he came to me when
we were having a Bible study with a bunch of men, and there
was a visitor that we had, and he came to me afterwards, after
just being around this fellow for an hour, and he said to me,
this fellow is not loyal, he has bad motives. And I said,
listen here, you're right out of prison, you don't know what
you're talking about, you don't even know what's up or down when
it comes to the Bible. But you know what? I was shocked
to find out that fellow was exactly right about what he said. And
I had to sit back and say, now how did he know that about this
fellow? And it must be the years and
the drug culture and prison. You have to learn by another
sense how to judge people or you'll get stabbed in the back,
right? That's a horrible world and what a terrible way to live.
But he had developed, and believe me, He was off his rocker in
many ways when it came to, you know, his, he had been on meth
and that type of thing. So he had all kinds of paranoia
ideas, but sometimes he received proper information intuitively. And it was an amazing thing to
see. So let's notice what has been
common knowledge in history that women tend to have keener intuitive
abilities. And some are really gifted at
it. The royal path of life, you might have a gift from God in
that area. The royal path of life in the 19th century said
man is bold. Woman is beautiful. Man labors
in the field, woman at home. Man has a daring heart, woman
a tender loving one. So they're always trying to make
men into women and women into men. We're not the same. You
understand that? Superior and inferior to men. Now, notice how they're not politically
correct. And this is the nice mainstream
stuff in the 1800s. They're able to say, well, women
better than men. It depends on what you mean.
In some ways. Men have more strength. In some
ways, women have more strength. It depends. It's not either or,
see. Humiliated by the heavy hand
of nature, meaning they're weaker physically in some ways, but
at the same time, inspired by intuitions of a higher order
than man can ever experience. Times without number, you must
have known them, decide questions on the instant, and with unerring
accuracy, which you had been poring over for hours. There
seemed to be some ground for the remark of a witty French
writer, that when a man has toiled step by step up a flight of stairs,
he will be sure to find a woman at the top, but she will not
be able to tell how she got there. And they're not trying to insult
you, they're trying to say that you know without going through
the more masculine order of logical process, deducing because of
this, because of this, because of this, because of this, because
of this. We go through the step-by-step process as a pastor to determine
that this person is a wolf. And you say, I already knew they
were a hypocrite. But how did you know they were a hypocrite?
How do you know these things? So there's this intuitive understanding. It is peculiar with what degree
of tact women will determine whether a man is honest or not.
She cannot give you the reason for such an opinion, only that
she does not like the looks of the man and feels that he is
dishonest." Well, this is what people have believed throughout
history, that women tend to have this ability. Modern psychologists,
I thought it would be interesting to see, they're normally wrong
about everything. But I found in psychology today
that they actually say this old idea is correct. We do believe
women have better intuition, intuitive knowledge than men,
these abilities to, to use their intuition. And they
actually say that they do believe that the old idea is true. They
base it on modern research showing that women are better at reading
emotional facial expressions than men are. So you communicate
one way with your face and the man's like, I don't understand.
What are you trying to say? Like, well, you ought to know
you ought to be able to read it on my face, but I don't understand what you're
saying, but a woman, they can communicate to one another just
through facial expressions. See, so understand men are not
as good at reading your face as. you women are. And so modern
researchers think that there is something to this old understanding. In fact, there's other researchers
that are actually doing. They're saying they found biological
proof that women are more intuitive. You can read whether you believe
that or not. Biospace.com, April 28, 2014. Spanish scientists
suggest that women are more intuitive than men due to a biological
component. Related to the lower prenatal
exposure to testosterone, women receive in the womb. And an article
recently published in the Journal of Psychoneuroendocrinology,
men are less intuitive. And so they looked at the fingers
and digit ratio and tried to determine And they found out
where there's high testosterone, there's more of a logical step-by-step
process. And where there's not, there's
more of the intuitive arriving at knowledge. And so I'm letting
you see that not only history, but even modern researchers are
agreeing that women have this intuitive ability in a greater
degree than men do. Now let me add some balance here.
I do not believe that this means men are incapable of intuitive
judgment. Many times we get gut feelings
about things and the Lord can lead us in that way. So I do
not say that men do not have this ability to smell out something. Nor am I saying that women are
incapable of logical, rational judgment. Let me give you an
example. In Judges chapter 13, Manoah
said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen
God. But his wife said unto him, I
just got a feeling that he's not going to kill us. Is that
what she said? No! She said, let me reason with
you, honey. If the Lord were pleased to kill us, He would
not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands.
And number two, neither would He have showed us all these things
and told us we're going to have a son. I mean, isn't it common sense
here? It's logical that the Lord's not going to kill us. Why would
He come and give us this prophecy that we're going to have a child,
etc.? See, this makes perfect sense. You're not reasoning right,
sweetheart. So he finally said, Oh, great, I'm glad I've been
given to help me to help me reason. And so she was able to help her
wife reason. So I am not at all saying women,
you're there for intuitive judgment. And we're here for reason. And
that's how God made the world. And no, I'm not saying that.
But I am saying that just as women have a better sense of
smell, they often have a sharper sense of intuitive knowledge. And the important thing is to
not follow that type of instinct or knowledge or perception blindly. But on the other side, don't
undervalue or ignore that gift. I do not think that centuries
of human experience have been wrong about women usually having
sharper intuition. And I believe I can prove from
the Bible that the Holy Ghost agrees that this ability is sharper
in women than it is in men. You say, how do you know? Well,
I've read the Bible many times and I see various places. Let
me give you an example. I see many places in the Bible
where women are warned about their outward beauty. Not to
make too much of it. Not to be unreasonable in regard
to it. Not to let that be the only thing. Why aren't men, brother, warned
about outward beauty? Why aren't men warned? Now, you
be careful not spending all day primping and fixing your hair,
you know. Why aren't men warned about outward
beauty? Because we don't have that gift, right? We don't have
that area, unless you're in this metrosexual, homosexual climate
that we're in today. But for the most part, The Bible warns women about beauty
because beauty is their strength. Do you get it? So if you saw a warning in the
book of Titus or Timothy, in 1 Peter 3, about women being
careful with their outward beauty, and men are not being warned
about such a thing, you would say, this must not be so great
a danger with men. I shouldn't have to say, junior,
I'm getting tired of you spending so much time in front of the
mirror every day, making sure your hair's right. You need to get out here and
get the water and the firewood and Caleb you're spending way
too much time primping in front of the mirror. See, you don't
normally have to warn them about things like that. Right? All
right. But you do have to warn women
because that's a strength that women have their beauty. Now keep this in your mind. This
is important. Women are warned about their
beauty because it's a quality they possess more than men. And you must not permit a strength
to be perverted beyond what God intended. I say your beauty is
a glory and it is a strength that you have. And we often preach to you that
Satan will attack your weaknesses. Where you're weak, Satan will
attack. And that is exactly true. But we need to preach more. about something else. And that
is, do you know Satan will attack your strengths? Why would Satan attack your strength?
Because your strength is an area that you're not going to guard.
See, it comes so naturally that he can sneak up and pervert it
without you catching him. So the Bible says, look circumspectly. Okay, I know what my weaknesses
are and I know what my strengths are. Or at least you try to get
an understanding the best you can of your weaknesses and strengths. And then watch for the devil.
I'll give you a quick idea. Phineas in the Bible was known
for his zeal. I mean, old Phineas would come
into the camp and he saw those two people fornicating and he
took a spear and javelin and he killed them. And the Lord
said, a lot of people would have died if Ophinius hadn't have
been zealous. So Ophinius was zealous, and
he would watch for sin. Well, one time, the children
of Israel that wanted to remain on the other side and got permission
to do so, they were going to build a monument, Ed, to help
them remember so they wouldn't go off into paganism. But Ophinius,
he heard that they were building Ed, and being a zealous person
and being his strength, The devil almost provoked him to warfare. Oh, the devil took a strength
that Phineas had, that maybe Phineas was getting proud of,
he was unguarded in, and the devil almost used Phineas to
shed blood, innocent blood. You better be careful about your
strength, because you'll start getting so proud of it that you
think it just works all the time, and you don't have to test it,
that it's always right. And you'll end up doing the devil's
work with your strength. Hey, Peter was known for boldness,
brother. Peter was known for his talkativeness. He'll speak
up. If something's got to get done, Peter will speak up and
get it done. That's a good thing. Peter, in
many ways, was the leader. But sometimes Peter was sticking
his foot in his mouth, right? Sometimes the Lord had to look
at Peter and said, get behind me, Satan. See, sometimes you need to shut
up, Peter. We're glad you're bold and always speaking up,
but sometimes you just need to be quiet, because you don't know
what you're talking about. See. Absalom's hair was his glory.
He ended up being hung by it, right? See, watch out. Whatever
your glory and strength is, the devil will attack it. Try to
make you proud of it. Hey, what are you gifted in?
What are some of your gifts? Beware, the old Puritans would
write books this big about beingware of pride of gifts. The devil's
going to come after you. Wherever your strengths are,
the devil's going to get you to pervert them, to go beyond
what you should be doing. What are your strengths above
average compared to a lot of people? Beware of Satan tempting you
in that area, making you go too far, misdirected. Now you can
look at this in regard to groups. First, are you male or are you
female? The wisest thing you could do is to find out if you're
male or female. All right? Do you know whether
you're male or female? Some people don't know today.
And this whole culture is saying, oh, well, what are you? You're
whatever you think you are. Well, that's a bunch of baloney.
Do you understand that? The idea you can choose your gender. Is
that stupidity, brother? God made them male or female. So find out whether you're male
or female and dress like it. Amen? Find out if you're male
or female. And say, well, I like to dress
in a way that blurs both of them, you know. No, why don't you find
out if you're male or female and be glad that you've been
created female. Be glad that you've been created
male. But not only that, after you find out whether you're male
or female, open the Bible and find out what are the weaknesses
that women have compared to men. And instead of getting all high
and mighty and puffed up like a feminist and saying, well,
I don't believe that, why don't you just believe what God said?
If God says this is a weakness that I have, these women that
want to be deputies and that type of thing, you know what?
The Bible said that women are generally weaker than men physically. You don't need to be in some
occupation where men should be. You understand that? So find out what your weaknesses
are and find out what your strengths are. In what ways are women more
gifted than men? In what ways are women stronger
than men, better than men? And then understand the devil
might try to get me in my strengths or in my weaknesses. I need to
watch for him. See, everything needs to stay
in the proper place. And I'd go further. After you
find out whether you're male or female, find out what race am I? What son of Noah am I? What is
my nationality? What is my culture? What is my
family? And I believe it's valuable to
find out what are the strengths in my family and what are the
weaknesses in my family. That's a good thing. You understand
that? So you can find out what the devil might tempt you in.
Now, of course, this will make the
world hyperventilate. They'll take what I just said and just
have a heart attack. But we don't listen to the world.
We could care less what they think. See, I'm trying to give
you wisdom right now. What does the Bible say women
are strong in? What does it say they're weak in? What are the
strengths of Shem? What are the strengths of Japheth?
What are the strengths of Ham? What are the weaknesses of Ham?
I don't really care what people think about that. Open up the
Bible and find out who you are. Amen? When the Bible says, Ishmael
shall be a wild man. If you're from the line of Ishmael,
I think it's valuable, Brother Orlando, to find out what your
tendencies are. So some of these Muslims today
could learn a lot about themselves. Ishmael, when he's in the flesh
and natural, is going to be a wild man. Do you get what I'm saying? Are
they pretty wild today? Are they pretty wild? There's nothing wrong with finding
out what God says your weaknesses or your tendencies or your strengths
are. That's just wisdom. So where am I going with all
of this? Well, what is the strength that a woman
has? One of her strengths. Her intuition. Her physical nose
is better than a man's. And her intuitive nose is better
than a man's. Nine times out of ten. Well,
if you're the devil, what would you do? you're going to try to
tempt the woman in that area where she's strong, just as you'll
try to use her natural beauty for the flesh and for evil, you're
going to try to use her intuition. And so you're going to try to
get that woman to get puffed up where she says, my nose is
always right. My intuition is always right.
I know that man is guilty. I know it. I don't need to hear
any more about the issue. I just know it. The Holy Ghost
tells. And then once you start mixing it with the Holy Ghost,
when you start thinking your intuition, well, that's the Spirit
telling me. Whatever I feel is the Spirit
of God telling me. Fellows do this. I walked up
to a fellow not long ago, and he was saying, well, such and
such, I believe there's guilt. I believe there's guilt. I believe
it. I'm like, have you investigated
it? Have you done due process? I don't need to. The Holy Ghost
tells me, really? Uh-huh. Well, the Holy Ghost tells me
you're a sodomite. It tells a lot of other people, too. Or at least
we think it's the Holy Ghost. If we're going to go by feelings,
I've got a feeling you're gay. How about that? Well, I've got
a feeling you're guilty. I've got a feeling you're gay. But we ought to go by something
stronger than that, brother, amen? We ought to give each other
due process, right? You ought to give your brother
due process. You ought to say, I might have
a feeling that you're guilty, but you're entitled to due process,
man. You're entitled to a jury trial.
You're entitled to face your accusers. You're entitled to
cross-examine your accusers. You better have two or three
witnesses, and you're entitled to face those witnesses and question
them. When did you see this happen?
When did such and such a thing happen? But when you just listen
to a bunch of gossip, and you say, I feel somebody is guilty,
that's what the devil's doing. Now, who's the devil going to
be able to tempt in that area in a greater way? Women. Why? Because that's their strength.
See? So therefore, when you open,
well, let me show you something here. Mark chapter 4, He said unto
them, Take heed what you hear, and with what measure you meet,
it shall be measured to you, and to you that hear it shall
be more given. And then He says in Matthew 7,
Therefore all things whatsoever you would that men should do
to you, do you even so to them. For this is the law and the prophets. So would somebody like another
brother to get a feeling about them, and then to go further
and say, and I know whatever I feel is of the Holy Ghost,
and I can tell when God's talking, and I just really, really feel
that I feel that I feel that I know that I know that it's
the Holy Ghost telling me, you're committing abominations. You're
messing around with pornography and all kinds of horrible things. And not only that, we're going
to stand up and expose you in front of the whole church, Would
you like that, brother? Or would you like to be given
your day in court? Now, you would like due process, right? Prove
this thing. Prove it. Some churches are led
by women standing up and saying, Thus saith God, so and so is
guilty of pornography. Would you like to be in a church
like that? That's Inquisition, buddy. That's the dark ages. No, you want your day in court,
brother. You don't want somebody judging you without due process
on the basis of intuition, so don't judge others. See, that's
what Jesus is saying. And I've already said, there
is a good place for intuition. It can help you show sometimes
where you need to investigate, brother. It says in Leviticus
19, you shall do no unrighteousness in judgment. Thou shalt not respect
the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty, but
in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor. Thou shalt not
go up and down as a tailbearer among thy people. See, there's
a lot of drama queens that sit around telling tales and tattling.
And they all sit around and say, I just know. I just know. It says John chapter 7, judge
not according to appearance, but judge what? Righteous judgment. Is it righteous judgment to convict
somebody on the basis of intuition only? No. You know, I think it's important
for people to learn this, so when they sit on a jury trial,
they have women sitting on jury trials now, and they have a lot
of men that don't know up from down. And it's important to teach
people, if you're going to be judged by your common peers here,
And the peers are sitting at home watching a bunch of trash
on TV. If the women are sitting watching
their lifetime women's movies, where it's always the pastor's
some predator, and the husband's a predator, and the father's
abusive, and they're getting filled with all of this information,
then they're going to walk around and, oh, I think he's guilty.
They're going to see a conspiracy everywhere, see, because that's
what they watch every night on TV, right? You want them on a
jury trial, brother? Do you want, when they get ready
to convict you, for them to say, well, I just feel he's guilty?
Stop for a second. What do you mean you just feel
it? I know. I can tell by how he's looking. I can tell he's...
You know what? You've got to convict him on due process. And
that's going to be part two of this sermon. What due process
is. Okay? So I'm not going to get off into
that right now. But I'm just letting you know. Proverbs 18, verse 17. He that
is first in his own cause seemeth just, but his neighbor cometh
and searcheth him. Do you know if you sat down right
now and Brother Orlando and Brother James had a serious problem and
that thing had to be settled by a church court and Orlando stood up and gave
his case? And he just said, it was just
down the hill, you know, James was putting his stuff and it
was rolling down the hill and it was coming down to my house. And
I tell you, this is happening, it really is. If you heard Orlando
give all of the evidence, it's going to seem what? What's it
going to seem? Man, James is guilty, he's guilty. I know that's
what he's doing. But then James stands up, It
says, now, when did you see this happen, Orlando? Well, I wasn't
even in town at this time. Now you're like, oh, wait a second.
OK, now I'm believing the other side. So what happens, C? And
a lot of people think, well, I'm not going to get too far
into this. But they think if I just hear both sides, I can make the issue.
No, no, you've got to hear them debate. You've got to hear them
cross-examine one another, C. So it says his neighbor come
and searches him. Who's he searching? His accuser.
He's being able to face his accuser and cross-examine his accuser. And without that, my brother,
there's no due process. Now look what the Bible says
is going to happen in the last days. 2 Timothy chapter 3. They're going to be without natural
affection. They're going to be truce breakers. And they're going
to be what? False accusers, fierce, incontinent, despisers of those
that are good. They're going to be false accusers.
So in the last days, They're going to convict people
and accuse them without due process. Do you see that? Without letting
them cross-examine their accusers. Do we see this in this day and
age, my brother? Do we see in this day and age
widespread false accusation? So listen to me, in the last...
And what do we see now? Is this an age that is maximizing,
glorifying the rational discernment and judgment or an age that is
exalting the intuitive? It's an age that is exalting
the intuitive, but the intuitive was never meant to be a basis
of judgment by itself. It was meant to give you, as
a help meet, to show where you need to put the candle. See,
I smell smoke. Let's shine the candle and see
if we see the fire. That was the purpose of it. It
was never meant to be the basis of judgment. But what they're
using it today, you'll see people say, I just think he's guilty.
I just think he's guilty. I know he's guilty. And they'll
go up and down, whatever celebrity, whatever it might be. You've
already judged these people? without due process, without
them facing their accusers based upon what the media gives you,
you've already judged these people. That's what the Bible says. They'll
be like in the last days. Now, understanding that this
is the state of the day and age we're living in, notice what
it says in Titus 2. The aged women likewise, that
they be in behavior as becometh holiness. Well, what do you mean?
Give me an example. The first thing he says is not
false accusers. Why does he list that first,
my brother? Why when he goes to deal with aged women, why
is it the first thing he tells them is don't be a false accuser? He goes on and says they may
teach young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love
their children. Oh, that we can get some godly women that will take
young wives and teach them how to love, to be discreet, chaste,
keepers at home, obedient to their own husbands, that the
Word of God be not blasphemed. But look at 1 Timothy 3, talking
about deacons' wives. Even so must their wives be grave.
What do you mean? Not what? Slandered, sober, faithful
in all things. Folks, men may slander. Men may
be guilty of false accusation. But why is it when the Holy Ghost
goes to deal with the women, unlike the men, He never says
to the men, men, aged men, be sober and don't slander. Aged
men, don't be false accusers. But when Paul writes to that
young pastor, he says, you go to the aged women of your church
and you tell them, quit slandering people and do not accuse anyone
falsely. Why? That's my question to you
today. Why does the Holy Ghost say that
about women and not say that about men? You know why, brother?
I believe because that is an area of strength unto women. Intuitive judgment. But what
does the devil do? Just as he will like to pervert
them in regard to their natural beauty, he will pervert them
in regard to their strength. Which means, You grow up thinking
that your nose is always right, and the devil will get you off
track. See? To where you start making judgments
about people without giving them due process. Not understanding
that your gift is a wonderful gift, but you are to never get
proud of it, and you are to never use it without following the
order of due process. See, so what you say is I have
a bad feeling about that person, but I don't want anybody judging
me without due process, but sweetheart, if you will, let's, let's watch
them and investigate them and keep an eye on them, but I'm
having a bad feeling. So when you talk to them, let's
see if anything comes out, but we're not going to judge them
just based on my feelings. See that's wisdom, brother. That's
how you do it. That's how you do it. But what happens is a lot of
women get proud of themselves and they get to talking with
one another and they get on the internet and they start watching
these movies that are designed as propaganda to stir up the
women. See, and these women start with their
drama and their tattling and their false accusation and their
slandering. You can destroy a church that
way. You can destroy marriages that way, brother. You can destroy
a whole community that way. See, this natural ability can
take you to hell. A vine is to be managed so it'll
be fruitful, but if you just let your intuition grow wild,
it'll become a tangled mess and you're going to hurt people with
it. You teach young boys as they're
growing up and they realize they're stronger than girls. What do
you teach them? When you're playing in sports and you're doing all
these things, you know, you start teaching them, you're a boy.
You got to be careful with the girls. Do you not teach them
that? See? You teach them you have a strength.
And you got to use that in the right way. Well, what you teach
women, what you teach girls is, okay, you've got a nose. You've
got a hunch, see. You've got this intuitive ability,
but you've got to use it right, sweetheart, see. You can't go
hurting people with that, see. You can't get proud of that. Or the devil's going to hurt
you, and you're going to hurt a lot of people. As I get ready to close here,
I want you to understand the analogy of your body. You're
told today quite often, listen to your body, listen to your
body. And is this true? Well, it depends on what you
mean. I think that needs to be explained. I spent 25 years examining
and researching how various foods make me feel. I mean, I really
have scientifically the best I can investigated everything
I stick in my mouth, and I'll sit down and just analyze what
type of energy. How did it make me feel the next
day? Emotionally, what did it do to me? Because that's an area
of interest unto me, because I believe it's biblical. What
you stick in your mouth is what you're going to get out in many
ways in regard to health and energy. So in many ways, I believe,
I've tried to be in tune with my body. But it would not matter at all.
If I thought something was healthy and God said it's not healthy,
it doesn't matter what my body says, right? My body can deceive
me. Now, no man here wants to be effeminate
and you want to be manly. And if you're going to exercise
or work, you get these children out working, these young boys,
and they say, I'm tired. I remember some folks came to
church. They ended up with homosexual sons. But their boy would get
tired when he's working, you know, and start whining. And
then the mama would come, oh, well, he gets, you know, he gets
tired easy. And he's, you know, we don't
want to make him work too hard. Is it surprising she raised a
homosexual brother? No, it wasn't. I couldn't believe
it. A boy called his mama. I just
couldn't believe that she would come and bail out her little
prince. I guess she turned him into a
princess is what she did, brother. So you teach children. You don't
listen to your body when it whines. If you're going to go work out,
no pain, no gain, right? You don't listen to your body.
And even when your body, it'll tell you sometimes you're hungry
when you're not. You'll sit here and eat a big meal and your body,
it hasn't clicked in sometimes. You're not hungry anymore. You've
eaten enough. But a lot of people, they eat till they get that feeling
of fullness, right? That's a satanic trick. Eat when you're hungry. That's
a satanic trick. You understand that? What do
you do when the devil makes you hungry 25 times a day? Some people
are always sticking something in their mouth. What I'm telling you is you cannot
listen to your body. in that way. Sometimes your body's
wrong. Sometimes your body says that
tastes good and it's bad for you. Sometimes your body says,
I'm hungry. Eat that. And it's bad for you. Sometimes
your body says, Oh, I'm tired. Stop working. And you don't need
to stop. Sometimes you're working out
or exercising. No, you don't need to stop. You
need to exercise. You need to move. But my body
hurts. Well, I'll tell you by just shut
up. On the other hand, sometimes
your body is useful when it's giving you information. Remember
the time that we were pouring a foundation there in Texas and
a lot of folks were at work and it was just one or two of us
and the concrete fell up. Began to tell us this is one
of the hottest days of the year. We've got to keep mixing this
concrete. We've got to keep mixing it. So we're out in the middle
of the concrete. We're standing in it. We've been
there for hours. I don't have proper boots on.
Nobody told me to put proper boots on. This stuff is stinging
my ankles. It's stinging. It's stinging.
It's stinging. But I'm not going to be effeminate. I'm not going to be worthless. A baby. So I stay, no matter
what the pain. And I stay. And I stay. And I
stay. And I stay. And I can honestly
tell you right now, before this church, that if I would have
been a bit more manly, I would not be standing up right now.
I can honestly tell you that. The doctors told me if you would
have stayed in that concrete just a little bit longer, you
would have lost your ankles. Because you had third degree
burns. And it was so bad they said that
you might have trouble walking from here on out because all
your veins shrunk up when you get a burn like that. So I would
get out and try to walk and I could barely walk and I could never
run. It took years to run. Finally I got so sick of it because
my ankles would swell up this big when I'd go to run. So what
I'm telling you is there's times you need to listen to your body
and there's times you need to not listen to it. And that's
hard, isn't it? It takes a lot of discretion.
There's times when a pastor needs to hear from his church. And
there's times when he needs to do what's right. There's times
when a father needs to listen to his family. And there's times
when the man needs to lead the house and do what's right. There's
times when your gut instinct is telling you something and
you need to obey it and you better. And there's time if you obey
that gut instinct, you're going to hurt people and hurt yourself
and end up in hell. In the second part of this study,
we're going to examine exactly how we investigate these intuitions. And we're going
to look at how due process has been lost in our church, churches,
in our country, in our culture today. Just as the Bible says,
there'll be false accusers. So let's close today by saying
I want you to not despise the information and insight that
you get from your body. Don't let your body rule you
and control you. Paul says, I keep under my body. But you need to
listen to your body. Listen to your children. Listen
to your wife. Listen to your brothers and sisters
that God has given you. So let's not despise this realm
of intuition. And I want to say again, as I
close sermons over there, I'm done, but I want to say as I
close that I have been absolutely amazed
at what was finally brought out by due process. Going up to some brethren and
saying, this is true, this is true, this person's a wolf, and
having them take a long, long time before they understood it,
before I understood it. And out of the mouth of babes,
they knew it a long time ago. Women knew it before it was ever
manifested. How? How? And I've spent a lot
of time thinking, how did they know that? And I've tested it
over and over and over. They've been right every single
time. It's amazing. And what God's showing us is
that's a realm of information. You have a nose. You have eyes,
but you have a nose. And everybody doesn't have the
same gift. Everybody doesn't have the same place, right? A
church is a church. It's a body. And you have many
gifts. So let's learn to recognize God
giving us warnings through women, through gut feelings. But women, you do me a favor
and don't get proud, OK? Don't take it so far. Where you
just walk around analyzing and judging and falsely accusing.
You might not be falsely accusing in public. You can just accuse
in your heart. Here brother, you need this book. I have a
gut feeling you need it. Why did you give me a book on
this? That's not my weakness. Well, yes, God told me. See,
you don't want to be like that, right? You don't want to be like
that. Don't falsely accuse people. But it's not wrong to say, I
have a feeling, and I could be wrong, and I'm not going to go
on it, but would you please take this to the Lord and see if this
feeling is true. See if it's right. See if God is leading
us this way. Dear Father, I do thank you for
the gifts you've given this church. Lord, I'm in awe at the abilities
and gifts that you've given. Help us not to despise any gift,
Lord, for we know it takes the whole body working together.
And I know, Lord, You've gifted women. Oh, God forbid, Lord,
that we have a church without women. You have given them so
many different gifts that we need, that a pastor needs, that
men need, Lord. And I thank You for them. I thank
You for the whole church. And we all have various strengths
and weaknesses, whether we're male or female. our nationalities,
where we come from, our family line. Help us beware of our weaknesses,
Lord, and beware of our strengths. Help us to listen to our bodies,
to listen to what we need to hear through intuition. But let us follow due process
in proper biblical order. And Lord, may You just help us
always to discern through whatever means where there's danger, where
there's a wolf, where there's swine, where there's hypocrites,
where there's false prophets. Help us grow up and be what You
want us to be, Lord. And I thank You right now for
the blood of Jesus Christ. I thank You for the cross. I
thank You for coming and loving us to die upon a cross for us.
And I pray, Lord, if there's any young person right now that
has never received that free gift of salvation, If there's
anyone listening to our sermon right now, and they've never
received everlasting life, I pray right now that they would trust
in You, that they would know, Lord, that it's not of works, lest
we should boast, it's by grace that we're saved. And right now,
they would place their faith in what You did on a cross. The
blood You shed, Your Son, Jesus Christ, sinless, who died on
a cross for us, paid the full debt for our sins, it is finished,
and resurrected and ascended to the right hand of holy God. Oh Lord, let them place their
faith and be saved right now. And I pray right now, Father,
for anyone in our room, anyone listening to the sermon, that some words, Father, that
have been spoken, will bring some conviction in some areas,
that they will not be hardened, they will not be stiff-necked,
to the Word that has been spoken. But they'll be soft, Lord, have
the dove's eyes to say, I never thought about that. And they'll
thank the Holy Ghost today for teaching them. And we'll thank You and give
You the glory and give You the praise, Father. In the name of Jesus
Christ, Amen.
