Leprosy on the Head

Our passage today is where God continues to give symbolic pictures of sin through leprosy as He now gives the law related to leprosy on the head. Since the hair on the head and beard is different, the laws related to detected that leprosy is different such as the hair would be yellow rather than white. The sores appear different on the head, since they are scaly sores rather than the swelling or indented sores on the rest of the body. As with the other sores, the primary issue is whether it is spreading or whether it is contained. God does not have an expectation that we will not sin, but He does have an expectation that we will repent of our sin and it will be constrained in us.
