The Doctrines of Grace: Unconditional Election (Part I)

291 ( 219 | 72 )

As we continue our examination of the Doctrines of Grace, also referred to as The Five Points of Calvinism. We transition this week from our look at the "T" (Total Depravity), to the "U" (Unconditional Election) in the acronym TULIP. The doctrine of "Unconditional Election," is not without controversy, but does controversy also mean this doctrine is misguided? Does the idea of Unconditional Election remove man's free will and highly coveted desire for independence? Do we play a role in our salvation, first having to choose to accept God's offer of salvation, as Arminianism suggests? Is God unjust in saving only some while condemning others? Is this doctrine one to be despised, or is it fundamental to our proper understanding of God? Join us for Part I of our study of "Unconditional Election," as we attempt to answer these questions and more.
