That's right. That's right. Amen. All be no better. Amen. Well, it is good to be in the house of the Lord this morning. And amen. Looking for God's blessings upon us today. Do pray. God help us today. Amen. Amen. And of course, let God work in our hearts and our lives. Amen for his glory, praise, and honor. Amen. And be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, and amen. Let God do that work that he desires to do in our hearts and lives, for his name's sake. I'm going to start a series of messages this morning on Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior. Now, it might take me a little while to get through them all because there's no way I can cover the information I have in one or two services. But I'm going to go ahead and kick it off this morning, and I'll let you meditate on that during the week. And then next, when I come back from Kentucky, I'll pick it up. Amen. Again, amen. And my brother Jamie Branson will be with the church next Sunday morning. Amen, of course. And so those of you who haven't heard him, you need to be here to hear brother Jamie. And, boy, he'll be a blessing to you. Amen. If he's not, I'll find out if he ain't, and then I'll take care of him. Amen. But anyhow, he'll be a blessing. He's a great man of God and a great preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And so he'll be a blessing to the church while I'm away on vacation. Our home is back in Kentucky, and we're going back there. I've got to be in two meetings while I'm back there and be in those, and so we'll check on our home while we're there and see if everything is all right. And since anything left, the rest of us will be getting on. It seems, it'll be, you pray for us, we'll be traveling starting out Thursday morning, amen, traveling over, and we'll be in services in those churches that we are in while we're there. Open your Bibles to Hebrews, amen, in chapter number one, Hebrews in chapter number one, amen. There's no way possible that I can even describe The Lord Jesus, the only thing I can do is use the word of God to try to describe him. I can't describe him and how wonderful he is. And I have, but I want to try to do the best I can with the knowledge I have and try to hope he'll be satisfied with me. Amen. And of course, Certainly, but the word of God describes him, so that's the reason I preach the Bible. I preach the word of God. Amen to Bible. Hebrews chapter number one, we'll begin reading there and talking about our Lord and Savior. Amen. Amen. Hebrews chapter number one. God who in servant times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets. after these last days spoken unto us by his son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds." Now, the prophets and the Word of God, New Testament, lines up together. Amen. The Old Testament tells us about the New Testament, but the New Testament brings to life the Old Testament prophets. Many of them didn't understand the church, and they wrote about the church in their writings, but they didn't understand what they were writing. And I'm afraid when I get to heaven there's going to be a lot of things I didn't understand in having the whole Bible, amen, the Word of God. But I can do my best to go by the Bible, and that's the best you can do, amen, is to go by the Word of God. So in these last days, he has spoken, we are in the last days. The New Testament Scriptures is for the last days, amen. Now you got to remember when you see last days in the Bible, you got to remember that a day with the Lord, amen, is a thousand years, and a thousand years is one day. So you can't place day one, two, three like you normally would. You're going to place it like when it says last days in the Bible. In the last days is when Jesus came into this world and fulfilled the Old Testament. Amen. And he fulfilled the law of God. Half in these last days spoken unto us by his son whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. Amen. Now catch that. He made the worlds. Amen. That's talking about Jesus. who bent in the brightness of his glory and expressed the image of his persons, upholding all things by the word of his power when he had by himself purged our sins and sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high. I'm talking about Jesus again. It's talking about him being made so much better than the angels, so much better than the angels. Amen. We have something that the angels don't have. They long to look in on our service this morning. And if God would give you spiritual eyes, you'll see something sitting around here. Amen. Today, I believe with all my heart, they're in our presence because they desire to look into these things that we have, but they can't understand it because they never have been redeemed. Amen. They've never been redeemed, so they don't understand redemption as we understand redemption. Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou, my son, this day have I begotten thee, And again, I will be to him a father, and he shall be unto me a son. Amen. Now, that's God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost. Amen. Three in one. Amen. So Jesus and the Father here. And again, when he had begun being first begotten unto the world, he said, and let AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM. SO HE IS TO BE WORSHIPED BY THE WHOLE CREATION. EVERYTHING THAT IS BEING MADE HE IS TO BE WORSHIPED BY. AMEN. HE IS TO BE WORSHIPED BY. AND YOU SEE THAT ALL TYPES OF ANIMALS WORSHIP JESUS. AMEN. Somebody asked me, are there going to be any animals in heaven? Well, the Bible talks about a few that's going to be there. So I said, I don't know how many is going to be there. Amen. But God's got some made as heavenly beings. I don't think there are animals on this earth that die and go to heaven. I don't believe that. Amen. But I believe there are some in heaven for the purpose of God's glory. There are some animals in heaven. Amen. and that. And verse 7, And of the angels, he said, who make of his angel spirits and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son, he said, thy throne, O God, is forever and ever. A sepulchre of righteousness is the sepulchre of thy kingdom. That sepulchre means his identity. and his suffragette means righteousness. God's interested in righteousness, and the only way we can have any righteousness is because we've been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ. We're his son, and we strive to have some righteousness, not to go to heaven, but because it's commanded of us of the scriptures to have righteousness, amen, and to be as God has pleased. Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity, that's what he says, amen. And therefore God, even thy God, hath appointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy followers. Amen. Amen. And thy Lord in the beginning has laid the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the works of thine hand. They shall purge but thy remanence. They shall wax old but as doth a garment. and as a vesture shalt thou fold them up. This old world's gonna be all folded up, one that they done away with. And they shall be changed, but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time, sit on my right hand until I make thine eminence, and thy footstool, and art thou not a minister of spirits? sent from the master for them who are to be heirs of salvation. Young boy went home one morning from school and said, I told his parents, I mean went home from church and said, dad said, why is God handicapped? He said, son, God's not handicapped. I said, yes, it is. He said, Jesus was sitting on his right hand. Amen. So he said he's handicapped. Amen. But that's not what he was talking about. He was talking about his right side. Amen. He sendeth aside the right hand of the Father. Amen. Now let's pray. Our Heavenly Fathers, I come to Thee. I thank You for Your grace, Your love, Your mercy. I thank You, Heavenly Father, for assembling us together. Thank You for our Lord's hosts being here this morning. And I pray in Jesus' name that you would help us now. And I pray that the Holy Ghost will do that work that needs to be done in hearts and lives today for your glory and your praise and your honor. And we'll thank you and praise you for it. Help me, oh God, I need thee. I need thee, oh God, if I've ever needed help, I need help this morning, and please help me, and I'll thank you, and I'll praise you for it. In Jesus' holy, righteous, and lovely name, I pray for the fervence of the gospel, we ask these blessings, amen, and amen, amen. The whole substance and strength of the Christianity faith centers in our Lord Jesus Christ. It's all in him. Christology fundamentally is the doctrine of Christ from the beginning to end. All phrases of elements of the Christian faith are determined by the person of Jesus Christ. The ideas of our beliefs are born in his teachings and his life. Jesus is the very strength of our faith. And without him, we would have no hope in heaven. In other words, he is the very blood streaming to life everlasting. Amen, amen, amen. Look over in John's Gospel, and I will be using a lot of Scripture. John's Gospel, Chapter Number 1. John's Gospel, Chapter Number 1. Now, amen. We saw that in Hebrews. Amen. How the Lord has come and been in this world. In God's Gospel, Chapter Number 1, Verse Number 1. Amen. The Bible says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word is Jesus Christ. Amen. To know more about Jesus, you need to know more about the Word of God. And the more you know about the Word of God, the more you'll know about Jesus and what He likes and dislikes and what He expects of us as children of His. The same was in the beginning with God. In other words, so in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, but Jesus was there also in that creation. You'll see that really. The Bible talks about He created it all. It started with a man and, of course, the Holy Spirit there too. Verse 3, and all things were made by him. There it is right there. All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. So he's co-equal with God. If Jesus does something, that's God doing it. Amen. Amen. And God is involved in it. AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE UNLESS JESUS IS IN IT. HE COMMITTED THAT TO HIM. Verse number 4, IN HIM WAS LIFE, AND THE LIFE WAS IN THE LIGHT OF MEN. HE BROUGHT US TO LIGHT. THAT'S THE REASON YOU HAVE TO GET SAVED, BORN AGAIN. THE NATURAL MAN RECEIVES NOT THE THINGS OF GOD, FOR THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS UNTO THEM. Amen. But my beloved friend, we must receive light when we get saved by the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we receive light to help us understand what the Word of God is saying, not by the wisdom of men, but by the light of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Now, look down at verses number, let's see, verse number 14. The Bible says, and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Amen. Full of grace and truth. Amen. Isn't that Jesus Christ is full of grace? and true. He gives grace, amen. Thank God for the grace of God. He saved us by mercy, amen, and by grace, amen. We continue to go on for God. He had mercy upon us. None of us deserved to be saved. None of us had the right to be saved, but he extended mercy unto you and I. when we heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He extended mercy, and then by the grace of God, amen, He let us get saved, amen. Yes, sir, by the word of God. And by the word of God, and so how we thank God for that. Look over in John's Gospel 17. Look over in God's Gospel 17, amen. Now, amen. Amen. God's Gospel, chapter number 17, if you find your places over there, we see there in the Word of God, John, and Jesus is talking about himself. Here he's preaching, Jesus talking about himself, and down in verses, down in verses number 5, the Word of God says, and of course this is a sermon that Jesus preached, And verse number 5, And now, O Father, glorify thy meek with thy own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. So there he is. Amen. As to the Father, the glory that he was with the Father, that scripture is telling us that he was with the Father before the world was ever created. and for the things in the world was ever created. Amen. Amen and how we thank God that he was. All right, turn over to Colossians and chapter number one. Colossians chapter number one, look at the word of God and look at verse number 16. Colossians chapter number one, look at verse number 16. Amen. Amen. And you always want to take your Bible and follow any preacher. You want to follow him through the Word of God. And if he's in the Word of God, then you've got no questions to ask. Amen. Amen is what the Word of God says. Amen. And the Word of God is the final answer. Of all questions, the Word of God is the final answer to that question. In Colossians 1, verse 16, look at what the Word of God says. For by Him were all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created by Him and for him. That's one of the things that the lost world don't understand. The lost world was created for God's purpose. Amen, amen. And by the way, you ought to praise God every day you save. You're a child of God. You've been born again. You ought to thank God and praise God for that. because, amen, God, that you hear the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. No man cometh to the Father except by me, Jesus said, except he draweth them, excuse me. No man cometh to the Father except he draweth them, and he draws people to Jesus Christ by the gospel, and no other way. You don't get saved by visions. You don't get saved, my friend, by any other way. You have to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ and get saved by the gospel, amen. Amen, yes sir. Well, look at what he says in verse 16. And by him were all things created that were in heaven and that were in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created by him and for him. Verse 17, And he who was before all things, and by him all things consist. This thing is held together by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. This world is held together by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. The heavens are held together by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. And every time that something happens in this earth, What if there's an earthquake or a tornado or any other kind of happening? Jesus is the one that brought it about. Amen. Amen. And therefore, amen, he's the one that brought it about for his purpose. Now, amen. He has a purpose and he brings that about for his purpose and he gets glory and praise out of what he does in this earth. Amen. There are fires in California. California is his praise. The volcano in Hawaii, that's him getting the praise and getting the glory for that, amen. The hurricane coming in on the south, on the southeast, that's his glory, amen. And he gets the glory and the praise out of those things. Amen, every time, amen. Yes, sir. Oh, yes, sir. It's all, so by him, all things consist, everything is consisted by him, amen. Now, turn over to the book of Revelations in chapter number four. Revelations in chapter number 4. Amen. Amen. Revelations in chapter number 4 and verses number 11. Amen. Revelations chapter number 4. This is the beginning of the tribulation period. Amen. Chapter 4, verse number 1 is when the church goes out of here. We are raptured out. We are took out. We are caught up to be with the Lord, the Bible calls it being caught up. Amen, amen. But as we get there, then we're gonna have wisdom like the Lord's wisdom. We're gonna have understanding like the Lord's have. Much is in secret to us today. Much, brethren, we don't understand today, but when we get caught up into heaven, we that are saved by the grace of God, and we, brethren, get caught up into heaven, Then we're going to do verse number 11. We're going to say to Him, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for Thou hast created all things, and by Thy Pleasure, by thy pleasure they are and were created, amen. So I don't understand a lot of things, amen. I don't understand, amen. I'm at the rest home right down the curve here. And people in there mentally, they're in there because of mentality. Mentally, they can read, they can write and everything, but in some kind of way they have a mental problem. And I don't understand all of that. But those people are just as precious in God's sight as we are sitting right here. Amen. God has chosen that way of life for them, and that's God's business. And if they can ever realize that, amen, and come to that knowledge, come to that truth, then, my friend, that'll be a blessing to them. But probably most of them, they have gone to psychiatrists and tried to explain it away in a natural way, and they have no real knowledge of why they're in that shape. They're in that shape, whatever comes your way. Amen. If you realize that's God in control of your life, then you can rejoice while that's happening. Amen. You can rejoice and be glad when that's happened. But if it's sickness or afflictions or whatever it may be, it makes no difference. If you're God's child and submitted to God's will, then whatever comes your way ought to make you happy. For God said, by so much tribulation, we are entering into the kingdom of God. Yes, sir. Amen. And we all are for tribulation. God works tribulation in our lives to prove us, to improve us, to make us a better child of God, to make us more better at what God wants us to do. So that's the reason He brings tribulation. You can blame it on whoever you want to blame it on. Amen. It don't make no difference. But God's the one who brings it. Amen. God is bringing, He brings it, amen, amen, whatever He does, that's His business, amen, to do so. I don't understand all of that, amen. I don't understand some physical problems I have. I don't understand all of that, but it's through God's glory. Hallelujah. There are certain times I try to preach, I have to stand and hold to a pulpit to preach. There has been times I try to preach the gospel, I have to sit down in my chair and amen and preach that day. That's God's business. Amen, hallelujah. I'd like to feel strong. I'd like to feel like, thank God, when I was about 55, amen. I'd like to feel like that, but that don't happen no more, amen, amen. No, serene brother, amen. Can God testify with us, amen. But it's been about that. He's 85 years old, but he'd like to feel about 55 this morning, amen. He wouldn't have went wild on y'all on Sunday school class if he was about 55, amen. Amen. Amen. But we lose mental thought. We lose physical strength. Amen. All of that works on you. It's working on you, too. Amen. You're not what you used to be. Now, I can feel the difference in my life on that certain fault of two. When I turned 42, I knew I was going to start it down the hill because I couldn't do like I used to do. Amen. And then every 10 years, another change, another change, another change. Amen. Well, Jesus, there's no other name in the heaven as sweet and precious as Jesus. Oh, no. I've had saints of God, amen, fixing the paths from this world, and they couldn't remember their children. They couldn't remember, amen, their loved ones or sisters or brothers. They couldn't remember even husbands or wives. But you mentioned the name of Jesus to them, amen, for a smile comes across their face, amen, they begin to rejoice in the Lord by mentioning that name, Jesus, to how precious that is. However, the last enemy you're going to face, the last enemy you're going to face is going to be death. That's the last enemy you're going to face, but thanks be unto God. In the midst of that death, I can rejoice and raise my hand. I've seen saints do it. Thank God. Shout the whole way into death. Shout the praises. Why? Because Jesus is with them through the person of the Holy Ghost. Jesus. Hallelujah. Oh, how precious. And then each battle, I don't know what heartache I'm not had to Suffer some heartaches like some people have. I reckon the biggest heartache I had that's hard for me to accept it as God's will, my dad was a man that loved God and taught me of God when I was a child, mama, daddy and mama. Daddy was, I believe, 79 or 81, somewhere along, about 79 years old. Well, every, when it started, well, it started changing from winter, Daddy would go burn his garden off, burn off all the extra grass and stuff, and Louise was on that garden. And he went down there. Hey, man, I'm telling you before I was told this, but he went down there and set a fire. And he had this problem that I have sometimes now, stumbling about, and he stumbled and fell. Then he couldn't get up. And he hit on one of these nylon coats, you know, with the pile in them. Yeah, nylon coat, hands and all that. And that fire burnt up to him and burnt that coat off of him. What was left on him was the cuffs around his head, the collar around his neck. That's all that was left of that, his shirt and all the clothes on his upper body, that cup of gun. It was hard for me to understand that. As a matter of fact, my brother next to me said, that can't be a God in heaven, let my daddy die like that. Well, God is in heaven. Of course, my brother was lost at that time, got saved later on. But he made that kind of statement. But that is in heaven. And they called me and told me something terrible has happened. I need to come quickly. At that time, I was trying to start a work up in Drake's Branch, Virginia. We had an old Volkswagen. I forgot how many thousands of miles was on that thing. Even the back wheels wobbled like that when we went down the road. But anyhow, I jumped in that thing as fast as we would run. I drove it down about an hour away from where I was at, down to Mama's. I went by Mama's and running down. She said they don't got him and took him to the hospital. So I had prayer with my mama and prayed with her, tried to comfort her some, and then I took off to the hospital. And when I got to the hospital, I walked into the hospital and I walked up to the nurse's station. I said, I'm looking for Mason Williamson. She says, that's Mr. Williamson laying over yonder. I said, no ma'am, my dad is a white man. She said, that's your daddy laying over yonder. He was chalk burnt. Amen. Skin curled up on his face and everything. Amen. And that was kind of hard for me. But it's God's will. It's God's will. Amen. Of course, my brother, he said, because he's known Daddy as long as I have, and Daddy was about 35 when he got saved, and God delivered him, amen, from out of sin, and lived for God the rest of his life, amen, when he was about that old, amen, when he got saved, before I was born. And so, you know, it's some hard, I don't know what you may have gone through. And I don't know what you may have to leave, go through for the end of this week. You don't either. But if you say, I can guarantee you one thing, there's somebody going to go with you. And to be somebody, I've been through it, and I feel this presence. Amen. Yeah, he strengthened me. And amen, at a time I think was the worst trouble, worst thing that happened in my life, far as humanly possible, talking about. Amen. But anyway, Jesus, His name is sweeter and His name is precious to us today's morning. That name Jesus is precious, amen, and He's sweeter to us, amen, than anything else. By knowing Him, Jesus Christ, the Savior is Jesus. Now, if you've got one of these new fingers Bibles or most all hymn books too, they spell the name of Jesus. We're going to get it off the computer. They spell the computer spells the name of Jesus with six letters. That's the wrong spelling of our Savior. I don't mean the name Savior. They spell it with six letters. They leave out the U. Amen. But that peer you're sitting in is a savior without the you in him. Amen. That automobile you'll drive home if you happen to go across a bridge. That bridge is a savior with six letters. But Jesus is a savior. He got that U in it. He's your savior. Hallelujah. He's the only savior in all the world is the Lord Jesus Christ in salvation. No other can save. No other has the power to save. Only Jesus Christ, S-A-U-L-S-A-V-O-U-R-L. Amen. He has the power to save. Keep you out of hell. Keep you from burning in torment. He has the power for that. Yes, sir. Oh, yes. Well, amen. So is Jesus. This name is found 612 names, excuse me, 612 times in the Gospels. In the rest of the New Testament, it is found 71 times. Christ is another title seen 56 times in the Gospels. and 256 times in the remainder of the New Testament. Amen. He is called Lord, Master, Rabbi, Prophet, a Priest, and a King. Hallelujah. He's a Jewish Messiah. Thank God. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. And He's the very God. Amen. Amen. In 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, He's the very God, the Son of God. Amen. The Son of David and the Son of Man. Amen. He's Immanuel in Matthew 123. His name entitled numerous verses and wonderful, thank God, I said wonderful name of Jesus. Wonderful name of Jesus, hallelujah. Thank God, I'm glad. We sing a song here sometime about the wonderful name of Jesus. Oh, praise God, if I was young as some of y'all, I'd get up and run around this building, hallelujah. I sure would, amen. But then you had to come pick me up. And amen, hallelujah, yes, sir. So, we read all release before the world was made. He is co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father. Amen. God and the Holy Spirit. Christ is God incarnated in the flesh. You get that? Christ is God. He's God incarnated in the flesh. He's God, but yet he's man. Amen. He's the God-man. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, Jesus was and He is and will be in the future. He's the I Am. Amen. He says that. He's the I Am. Mary was not divine as the Catholics try to teach. Mary's not divine. She's just an ordinary lady like you ordinary ladies here this morning. Mary was an ordinary lady. She loved God. She trusted God. Amen. She's just an ordinary lady. Amen. But the Holy Ghost moved upon her and conceived in her womb and brought forth the Son of God, she gave him a earthly man flesh, and that's all, she just gave him some flesh! Amen, that's all she did. And she's not divine. Not when you can't get through to God through praying to her either. Amen, amen. No sir, that's right, I'm right, I'm right. He was made, he was made a woman. He's made a woman, Jesus was. Amen. Galatians chapter 4 and verse number 14, if you'd like to turn over there. Galatians chapter number 4 and verse number 14. Galatians 4.14. Galatians chapter number 4 and amen. I got down here in Galatians chapter 4 and verse number 14. I'm in Galatians chapter 4 and verse 14. Well, let me read it and see what it says. My temptations which was in my flesh, ye despised not Paul, talking about him, nor rejected, but received me as an angel of God, even as Jesus Christ. You'll receive the man of God like he's Jesus Christ. That's what Paul said of him. Amen. Receive him. Amen. As such. Yes, sir. Amen. Yes, sir. The human part. The human part. Amen. Amen. He prophesied it. It was prophesied in Genesis chapter 3, verse number 15, over 4,000 years, even before it happened, even before his birth. It was prophesied in Genesis 3.15. Amen. It was prophesied that he would be born of a woman, born of the flesh. Yes, sir. A virgin birth would be supernatural. Get that now. Your spiritual birth has to be supernatural. You just don't get saved by walking down the altar and taking the preacher by the hand and say, I believe in Jesus. That won't do it. That won't put you in as a child of God. You get saved by faith, amen, repentance of your sins toward God and faith in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins. Amen. Amen. And for washing away your sins. Amen, brother Finn, amen. He certainly did. Well, amen. So it's prophesied the virgin birth would be supernatural, thus making the birth of Christ supernatural, making him a supernatural being, and the fact of the virgin birth assisted by the scriptures, by tradition, and by creed. Amen. Amen. That he was the Son of God. It is in perfect harmony. All of that is in perfect harmony throughout the scripture. perfect harmony with other facts of his perfect life, and that should be a sufficient proof of his truth. Jesus had the appearance of a man in that he had a physical nature, body, soul, and spirit, and therefore he could suffer as we suffer, and brother Finn, he knows our conflict, our suffering, that he's borne in his body our sufferings in the Lord Jesus Christ, hallelujah. Yes, sir. Yes, sir, he suffered for us in body, in soul, and in spirit. He received the body. Amen, he received a soul and a spirit, amen, of him, spirit of Christ. Amen, by brother Finneal, a body, amen, that he could associate with our afflictions, associate with our, and know our afflictions, the Bible speaks about that. Amen, knows our afflictions. He's a perfect human being, the only one in the world, hasn't ever seen no other man as perfect as Jesus Christ was. Amen. He's perfect. He is perfect. Jesus is the wonder of all wonders. He loves list of all lovelies. Jesus is the thing of the Bible with his names mentioned throughout his ages. wrote, excuse me, with Genesis to Revelation, in hymn, in picture, and in name, turn to Hebrews chapter 2, Hebrews chapter 2. Hebrews chapter 2, amen, amen. Look at the word of God, verse number 9, Hebrews 2 and verse number 9. But we see Jesus who was made a little lower than the angels. for the sufferings of death. Why did he have to be Lord of angels for the sufferings of death? So he could relate with us what it is to die. Crowned with glory and honor that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Brother Glenn brought that out in his lesson. He said, Well, I'm too bad to get saved. Well, amen. Brother Fred, you're not too bad for Jesus. Amen. You're not done too bad for Him. Hallelujah to save you. You've not been too bad for that. Verse 10, For it became Him for whom all things, and by whom all things, and bringing many sons unto glory. I'm glad I'm in there. I'm a candidate. You're glad of that this morning. Are you glad you were counted in that number? If you're saved, you are. Amen. To make the captain of thou salvation perfect through sufferings. Amen. What did he suffer? He suffered and gave his blood at a place called Calvary. He laid his life down, the Son of God. As I said when I preached on God here the other Sunday, God don't have to justify or prove he's God. Jesus don't have to prove he's Jesus. Amen. No, no. He is, but there he is, and here's a great proof of him from any other human being. He laid down his life. They didn't have to grab him with two or three Roman soldiers and push his hand down on that cross. He had used me and mine when he went to that cross. He had us and mine when he went to that cross and he was willing to lay it. I laid down. No man took my life from me. I laid down. And he laid it down on that old cross. And then he laid it. They didn't have to grab us and then pull it down on us. They did those two that were crucified with him. Oh, he laid it down. And he laid his hand down and let him take a nail and drive it through his hand. Oh, the Savior is mine. He took his feet and crossed his feet. Tradition tells me there was a little piece on the bottom where his feet, so he could push up and get out. He died quicker. And there was only these across, too. They could push up and get out, take a breath, and slumber back down. And as long as they could do it, then when they had to have another breath, they would push up again. Take a breath and swivel back down. He had me, he had you on his mind. He had you on his mind when he done that. He had to die at the perfect time that the father said he would die. He died the very moment that is predicted in the scriptures that he died. After a while, after they left, they escorted him. But thank God, there was two thieves over there. And one of them finally come to the realization, we deserve rightly for what we were getting. But that man has done nothing of it. And the worst thing I could go through through life is nothing compared to what he went through for me. The worst thing you could go through through life is nothing compared to what he's done for you. How can somebody get more in love with anything else other than Jesus? I think I'm going to stop there this morning and pick it up when I can. another morning service here. There wasn't a Jesus. Brother Tim, could you get that old
