After the noisiness of the sixth seal and the interlude showing the sealing, securing, and victory of the Church, the seventh seal surprisingly but fittingly opens to reveal...silence. Silence is the only appropriate response to the Lord's impending arrival in judgment at the consummation of all things.

After explaining the silence--and judgment that follows--of the seventh seal, this sermon uses the idea of silence to trace through the Scriptures to describe the Gospel of Christ in a way fitting for Christmas and for the testimony and baptism that followed the sermon.
