The Good Life

Aim: To live to the full, in Jesus.

The constitution of the good life: it is fully dedicated to God, and it spies God in everything.

Exegesis: The blessings of the good life: it leaves a living, loving, and Godly heritage (vv. 22-23); it serves to advance the kingdom of Christ (vv. 24-25); it sets a benchmark on God's grace (v. 26).

Further application: The essential ingredients of the good life: faith—which fetches Christ to everything; hope—which sustains the soul in suffering; love—which focuses the heart on Christ.

Key verse: v. 24 ''And Joseph said to his brethren, 'I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.'''
