That's from the book of Philippians.
And right now we're talking about the deity and divinity of Christ. The deity and divinity of Christ.
The triune part of the triune God. Now when I talk about a
trinity, I'm talking about you. God made you in his image. In
Genesis 1-26 it tells us about it. God made us in his shadow
casting likeness. His spiritual image. He made
us in his The likeness, his blood-flowing likeness, that word comes from
Dom in Hebrew, it means blood-flowing likeness. And in his sovereign
likeness, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit,
the Son, and then the Father, actually, in that verse. Now
we're going to read this here, and we're going to look at different
places in the Bible where it talks about the deity of Christ.
Jesus Christ Fulfilled all of the Jehovah titles all of the
Jehovah titles He is Jehovah, he is Jehovah God Jehovah God
And Greek it says host morphe Theo Keep our calm Luke ah Spock
moon Hey gay, Sato Toe a nay It's a feel Who in the absolute essence that
were to inform of morphous we got a word morphosis out of that
God Brought himself he broke into
space and time in the form of Jesus Christ in that form God
became flesh. The word Jehovah, Jesus' title,
that's His name. Jehovah is His name. Jehovah
means He who shall become. In John 1, verse 14, it says,
And the word, or the Jehovah, flesh He became, and dwelt among
us, and we saw the glory of the Eternal Father, and the grace
and love of God in Him. For God so loved the world that
he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him
should not perish but have everlasting life. He gave his son. Son is the essence of him in
the flesh. You want to see God? Look at
Jesus Christ. That's who he is. That's God.
That's God in form. And I said this a long time ago
on a computer. A programmer said to me, he said,
boy, that just blew me away. I said, the triune God is like
hardware on a computer. That's Jesus. The software is
the Father, and the spirit is the energy that puts all of it
together, makes it all work together. He said, wow. Well, that might
be a poor way to do it, but that's like God. All you're ever going
to see of God is a son. All you're ever going to know
of God is the Father, all that you ever feel of God, and the
energy in you that wants you to serve God is in the Holy Spirit.
Who? Nobody's singular, masculine,
relative pronoun, host. Morphe, in form, in likeness, absolute
essence being, of God. That word can be genitive or
oblative to either one. Genitive case is the case of
possession. But also, the oblative case is
the case of origin. And here, we have a genitive
oblative. You know, Jesus belongs to God,
and Jesus came out of God from what we see in Jesus is God.
Who in form of God constantly existing. He always was. This is the eternal God. Nobody's
singular, masculine, present, partizan, or lactic, but it's
hippo and arco. Not. Uk, abbreviation there, 294.
And then harpogmone. That word harpogmone means to
pray upon, to rob, to pray upon, to embezzle. We got people in
the world out here They don't want to work, but they want to
embezzle. Their whole life is spent on,
how do I get that person's money without working for it? That
word robbery right there, not robbery. And then here with third
person singular, first person indicative, middle voice here
now. That comes from hageomai, and it means to calculate, to
deem, to lay out, to where you can physically see a plan, to
blueprint. He didn't calculate, He didn't deem it, robbery, the
thing, to be, that little anay there, that comes from Amy, and
that's present infinity back to, equal things, Esau, Esau,
equal things with God. He did not think it would be His deity, He didn't consider
a thing to be held on to. Now, Jesus Christ was born in
this world. Let's go back to John 1 and 1 for a moment. Look
at that. In RK, ein hologos. Kai hologos
ein proston theon. Kai theos ein hologos. In beginning, the absolute beginning
of time, Jesus is the eternal God. He's the Ancient of Ages. He is the eternal God. In beginning,
singular beginning, in Genesis 1 it says, Barashith, and that
means in one of the beginnings, in one of the beginnings. But
John 1.1 says in the beginning. John 1.1 is the oldest verse
as far as time goes in the Bible. In beginning kept on being Hologos. Hologos there is a Hebraism for the Jehovah. In beginning
kept on being the Jehovah and the Jehovah kept on being towards
pro stone thing on he kept on existing as God Jehovah always was God he never
didn't cease from being God and then the last part of that verse
it's actually the third sentence in John 101 it says and the God
or God kept on being the word Jesus never ceased on being.
Jehovah never ceased being God when He came in flesh. John 1.14,
"...and the Word, the Jehovah Flesh, He became, and dwelt among
us. We beheld the glory, the glory, the only begotten of the
Father, full of grace and truth." John 1.18 says, "...no one has
seen God at any time, but the only begotten God, the One being
in the bosom." That One has led Himself out. He led Himself out
of eternity into time. He, when he was on the earth,
he became obedient as a slave to you and the Father. The will
of God, the Thelematos of God, was that his son would come into
this world and give his life for you and for me. That's the
will of God. That's the will of God. All the
way back into the Daniel. Let's go back to the book of
Daniel. Daniel I Can ever get there The book of Daniel the seventh
chapter Then I kept looking Of the sound
of the boastful words, which the horn was speaking. He's talking
about this prophecy now I kept on looking to the beast was slain
and this is talking about in the in the tribulation period
way over here And that period of time And I kept on looking
until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given
to the burning fire. As for the rest of the beast,
and their dominion was taken away, and the extension of life
was granted to them for a pointed time of time. We're talking about
what's going to happen in Revelation, the 19th chapter also, starting
with verse number 11 onward. And I kept on looking in the
night vision, and behold, were the clouds of heaven, and I saw
one like the Son of Man, coming and He came up to the ancient
of days and He was presented before Him and to Him was given
dominion and glory and kingdom that all the peoples and nations
and men of every language might serve Him and His dominion is
an everlasting dominion. This is talking about Jesus,
people, which will not pass away and His kingdom is one which
will not be destroyed. Let's look over in Revelation.
Well, look at Revelation, the first chapter first. And we'll
go back to the book of Daniel again, and Isaiah. Revelation
1 and verse 8. Go back to verse number 6. And He has made us a kingdom,
a priest to Him, and God and Father to Him be the glory and
the dominion forever and ever. Amen. just like what said in
Daniel remember the dominion glory forever and ever blessed
is he behold he is coming with clouds and every eye shall see
him and those who have pierced him that's when they've nailed
him to the cross that's Israel and all of the tribes of the
earth will mourn over him even so amen And then Jesus speaks,
Jesus talking here, I am Alpha and Omega, I am the beginning
and I am the end, saith the Lord God, Jehovah Elohim, who is,
exists forever, who was, who actually became, is what it says
in the original language, who became, Jesus became in flesh, when he
was born into this world, when he was conceived in his mother's
womb. God came in flesh. And who is coming? The Almighty.
El Shaddai. The term for the Almighty God
is Jesus' term. John, in the book of Revelation, in
the 19th chapter, Revelation for John the Revelation
the 19th chapter I Can find it over here verse number 11, and
I saw heaven opened up and behold a white horse Luke oh he Luke
oh he he pass and He sat upon him called faithful and true
and in righteousness. He judges and makes war. This
is Jehovah This is this is Jehovah. I read this is the Lord my batters. This is the Lord of of armies,
El Shaddai. Yehovah saw the oath. And his
eyes are like a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems,
many conquered areas. And he has a name written upon
him which no one knows except him. We don't know how to say
the word Jehovah, do we? We say it, but that's a misnomer. That is not what it is. If you want to say the name Jehovah,
all I can say is breathe out. He is clothed with a robe dipped
in blood. His name is called the Word of
God, the Jehovah of God, the one who shall become of God.
And in the armies of which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen,
white and clean, following him on white horses. And from his
mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it he may smite the
nations. He will rule them with a rod of iron, just like it said
in Daniel. And he treads the winepress of
the fierce wrath of God Almighty, Jehovah, Elohim, El Shaddai. These are Jesus' titles. And
on His robe and on His side He has a name written, Adonai, Ha,
Adonaiim in the Hebrew. Adonai, Ha, the Lord of Lords
and King of Kings. King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Now I'll go back again to the book of Daniel. I can find it here. Book of Daniels. I kept looking in the night vision
and behold the clouds of heaven and one like the son of man was
coming. Revelation 19 now, this is exactly it. We read this before.
And he came to the ancient of days and was prepared to him
and was given dominion and glory and a kingdom. All the peoples
and nations and men of every kind might serve him and his
dominion is how long? Everlasting, everlasting, which
will not pass away in his kingdom as one which will not be destroyed
and back over in the book of it. Isaiah. Forty four. Isaiah chapter forty four. Thus saith the Lord, the King
of Israel, and his Redeemer, Goel, Archimandrite. God became
flesh so that he could redeem us from ourselves. Thus saith
the King of Israel, his Redeemer, and his Goel, the Lord of hosts,
Jehovah Savioth. I am the first, I am the last.
Revelation, the first chapter. I am the first, I am the last,
and there is no God besides me. There is no God besides me. Jesus
is the only God you will ever see. He's the only God you will
ever see. He's it. 1 Timothy, again Paul's writing. First Timothy Chapter 2 God desires
all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge
of the truth. Verse number four and two, second chapter, there
is one God. There aren't three gods up there,
there's one God. Just like you are one person.
You are spirit, you are soul, and you are body. Well, there
is one God and one me here, but also between God and men, and
that's the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for all,
a testimony born at the proper time. Galatians 4 and 4 says,
when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his son
made under the law, made of a woman, made under the law, that he might
redeem those under the curse of the law, who gave himself
a ransom for all, a testimony born at proper time. And for this I am appointed preacher
and apostle. I am telling the truth. I am
not lying. As a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth, Colossians. Colossians. Look at Colossians
for a moment. Colossians, the first chapter. You know, a lot of people talk
about Jesus. Jesus is a prophet. Jesus is
a good man. Jesus was a master teacher. The
Muslims talk about Jesus as a prophet. They talk about him having some
end-time prophecy, this prophet will come out of Arabia. Except
their prophet, Jesus, is going to kill the Jews. Jesus is going
to save the Jews. Everything that's good in the
Quran is bad in the Bible. Everything that's bad in the
Bible is good in the Quran. Paul and Apostle Jesus Christ,
by the will of God, and Timothy, our brother, to the saints and
faithful ones, brethren in Christ Jesus, who are in Colossae, grace
to you and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus. We give thanks to God, the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard
of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for
all the saints, because a hope is laid up for you in heaven.
of which you previously heard of, the word of truth, the gospel,
of which has come to you just as in all the world also is constantly
bearing fruit and increasing even as it has been doing in you since the day you
heard of it and understood the grace of God. Now here we come,
just as you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond servant
who is faithful servant in Christ and on our behalf who also informed
us of the love of the in the spirit for this reason also since
the day we heard of it we have always not ceased to pray for
you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge that's
the word knowledge remember we look at that word just in the
last verse or so in the previous class the knowledge of his will
and all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And here he uses
all the words for mind. His will, his spiritual activating
force. So that you may walk worthy of
the Lord and to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in
every good work and increasing in the knowledge, strengthening,
being steadfast, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified
us to share in the inheritance of the saints and light. Now
we're getting down closer and closer. to what Paul is going
to say and he's emphasizing who Jesus is. For he delivered us
from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom
of his beloved Son in whom we have the redemption and forgiveness
of sin and he is the image of the invisible God. The first,
the head of all creation. What it is, that's said the head
of all creation. The head of all creation. For in Him all things were created,
both in heaven and upon the earth, visible and invisible, whether
thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things have
been created through Him, by Him, and for Him. And He is before
all things. In Him all things are held together.
He is the head of the body of the church. He is the beginning.
He's the firstborn from the dead. He's the Alpha and Omega again.
so that he himself might come to have first place in everything.
For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness
of God to dwell in him." Jesus Christ was God and man. He's
related to you. He's related to you that he might
give his life to you, for you. In Genesis, the third chapter,
it talks about man sinning. Man sin. And then it talks about
the woman that God gave man, she was tempted by Satan and
she sinned and she ate and kept on eating from that tree of the
knowledge of good and evil. And then she gave to her husband
and he kept on eating from the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil. She was deceived, he was not. Adam sinned openly and
willfully and because of that All of us are born with the sin
nature. When we are conceived in our
mother's womb, we don't have her blood in us. We have His
blood. And that blood gives us a sentence
of death and sin. The writer of the book of Genesis
says in the third chapter, verse 15, he said, now let's go back
there a moment. Genesis 3.15. and beforehand. Now, it's hard for me to read
my Bible sometimes. I've got to show this to you. I keep all the notes from falling
out. That's what it looks like. This Bible. That's what it looks like. Sometimes
I have trouble reading through all the notes. Start with verse number 10. And
he said, I heard the sound of you walking in the garden. And
I became afraid. Now, I'm changing the wording
of this to the Hebrew more accurately. And I became afraid because I
had become naked. And I hid myself. And he said,
who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree
which I commanded you not to eat? And the man said, the woman
that you gave to me, she gave it to me. It's your fault. It's
her fault, not mine. And I ate. I kept on eating,
is what he said. He kept on... I kept on eating.
Third person, masculine, singular, wow, consecutive and perfect
in Hebrew. And I kept on eating. And the
Lord God said to the woman, the Ishah, what is this that you
have done? And the woman said, the serpent
deceived me and I ate. I didn't know what I was doing.
He deceived me and I ate. Now the woman does not pass on the sin nature
to the child. And this is how Jesus could be
born in the world without sin. The sin of Adam was not in him.
The woman gave him life. And the Lord God said to the
serpent, because you have done this, cursed you are above all
the cattle, and more than all the beasts of the field, and
on your belly you shall walk, and in dust you shall eat all
the days of your life. And I will put active hatred
This is the promise of the Messiah. I will put accurate hatred between
you and the woman and between her seed, Jesus Christ, and your
seeds down to time and culminating in the son of Satan as the Antichrist. Between you, your seed, and her
seed, your seed, he's going to have a child. He's going to procreate
and he's going to bring forth the man of sin. And He shall bruise you as to
the head, and you shall bruise Him as to the heel. Because the woman does not pass
on the sin nature, we have a Savior. And that Savior is God Almighty,
El Shaddai. He is Jehovah Jireh. He is our God. He is our Jehovah,
the one that became flesh to dwell among us. He is our Kinsman
Dreamer. He is our Goel. He is our Savior. And if you've
asked the Lord to save you and forgive you of your sins and
repent of them, you are His and He is yours. He is your Elohimu. He is your God. And you are His
child. Our Father, we send this message
out. It's only the beginning of showing the deity of your
Son and the power and glory that He shall have always. even because
he redeemed us. Please forgive me where I fail
you. Use your word wherever it goes. In this world, in Jesus'
name I pray, amen.
