8. Jesus Was Circumcised - for Us!

Luke tells us more about the infancy and childhood of Jesus than any other gospel writer, but even he doesn't tell us very much. We might assume that nothing significant happened until Jesus was baptized by John, but would that be right? Luke makes a point of telling us about the circumcision of Jesus on the 8th day after his birth. Is that just a piece of Bible trivia, or does his circumcision have something to do with his mission ... and with us?
