Pt 8 Are prepubescent children e.g. those dying before they commit actual sin, saved?
Series 4th+5th days of Christmas 2020
Gavin says, "I'm preaching … on issues to do with diverse views on soul annihilation & eternal torment in hell; & this is in connection with the question, 'Are prepubescent children e.g. those dying before they commit actual sin, saved?;' & the associated issue of what happens to unsaved 'children … dying before they' are old enough to 'commit actual sin.' … Now this Part 8, like the previous Parts 6 & 7, are to some extent connected by the issue of baptism, & the general rule found in the Anglican 1662 Book of Common Prayer with respect to 'children … dying before they commit actual sin,' that on the basis of 'God's Word,' prepubescent 'children which are baptized,' who die e.g. those 'dying before they commit actual sin, are … saved.' And now … we shall consider 1stly, the Baptist view of what happens to children dying in infancy, namely, the erroneous claim of universal salvation of children dying in infancy, in which we shall compare & contrast the diverse doctrinal bases for this erroneous claim made by both Wesleyan Arminian Baptists & Reformed Baptists. And 2ndly … what happened to the Jewish 'children' 'from two years old & under' slain by Herod in Matthew 2, & remembered annually on Holy Innocents' Day … who died before the Christian sacrament of baptism was instituted."
