- Many in the church today have made perseverance of the saints a "Get Out Of Hell Free" card. (The Problem)
- The salvation that God has enacted in the life of the believer will not fail, but be completed by God. (The Correction)
a. Perseverance is only promised to those who are redeemed.
b. Perseverance is the gift of eternal life given to the redeemed.
c. Because God is the One who saves, no one can avoid this promise. - We MUST not live with license but as one united with God through Jesus Christ. (The Follow-Through)
