Redeemed to Worship

Like many other Psalms, Psalm 107 is familiar to us because it speaks to our wrestling experience with the chaos we face and our view of God. This Psalm points us to the God of all comfort when facing trials, suffering, and sin. The words of Psalm 107 resonate with us today because they express our need for God. After all, it is a celebration of God's praise for His merciful providence to all the redeemed.

God's people in this Psalm have gone through several predicaments such as captivity and bondage, wanderings by land and sea, and famine. Even though some of the difficulties happened as evidence of God's displeasure, all the deliverances are evidence of God's goodness and mercy to those who humbly seek Him for help.

Because of God's faithfulness, all the redeemed will rejoice, and the wicked will be stopped, and all those who turn to the Lord for help will appreciate God for His unfailing mercy and unbounded love.
