Our Humble God

For many the magic of Christmas is short lived. For the coming of Christ to have the deepest impact on our lives we need to dig deeper into the mystery of His coming. What is it that lay behind the great condescension of the One who was in the 'very form of God'? He not only stepped into human history as one of us, but stooped even lower to serve and redeem. In all this he not only showed us the rich glory of what our humanity was made for but also the very heart of God. His deepest glory was revealed in serving us in this astonishing manner and His deepest joy is to see the image of this humble, serving Son take shape in us!
