They crucified him

The stark and simple language of the cross underscores the fearful spiritual realities which underlie its physical agonies. In this passage we can see many prophecies fulfilled, we hear pardon pleaded, we grieve over pain inflicted, we see a person identified, and we hear wonderful promises made by a dying King.

Who and what do we see when Jesus hangs on the cross? Do we see a man who cannot save, or the saving Son of Man?
