The Reformed Distinctives

Lamentably, more and more churches are breaking ties with the past. Many churches that label themselves Presbyterian, Mennonite, Lutheran, etc. no longer reflect the very thing they claim to be. Even today you can visit different churches that call themselves Reformed and each church will be very different. So what exactly does it mean to be Reformed? Is there a clear cut definition we can point to? What are "The Reformed Distinctives?" Since we desire to be faithful, honest, and clear about who we are as a church, what we believe, and how we practice the doctrines we believe... today we will start looking at what it means for us to be named Reformed. As such, in this sermon we argue that "The Five Solas" (the mottos) of the Reformation, Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, Sola Fide, Soli Deo Gloria, summarize the main Reformed teachings.
