Making Much of Christ vs Making Much of Man: Legalism vs Truly Christian Affection

In a moving display of his own Christ-focused pastoral love, the apostle calls the Galatians to return to a truly Christian affection by making much of Christ. Their mutual affection with the (Jewish) church calendar party made much of man, because it was borne out of that legalism, and the solution was to return to the love they had at first.
