The sovereignty of God deals with His absolute right to rule...His power to rule...and the unstoppable execution of His will over all creation.
But as you look around at all that is going on in this world today…as you see the abounding wickedness at every level of society…as you see the Church of God seeming to struggle to keep her head above water…it may appear that the devil is the one who is in control. How could GOD be in control when you consider the slaughter of those children and teachers in that elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut? If GOD rules over all, why then is there so much evil in this world…and evil that is multiplying exponentially? Is GOD ruling the affairs of this world or is Satan?
There is only one response the Christian should have to that question: "What saith the scripture?"
