There was a problem with the unity of the early church (Acts 6:1). The widows were being neglected along ethnic lines. Here we have an example of how godly leadership solves the problem with wisdom (Acts 6:1-6). This wisdom is evidenced by 1) acknowledging the problem 2) involving everyone 3) clarifying priorities and 4) delegating the work to qualified men. When this happens God's Word spreads. The application of this sermon looks at the many problem we have in the church today – especially biblical male leadership.
