Three Cups in Christ's Hand

Perhaps the title should have been "Two Cups in Christ's Hand." At any rate, the Scripture speaks of various cups that all people will have to drink. We may either drink the cup of wrath or the cup of salvation.

The text speaks of the former cup. But this leads us to the latter. Christ's said, "Can you drink of the cup I am going to drink?" He drank the cup of God's wrath so that his people might taste the sweet wine of his blood shed for their sins.

This is an example of a biblical theological (or as some call it "Redemptive/Historic") sermon and it is one of our very favorite at our church.
