The Humanity & Deity of Jesus

109 ( 91 | 18 )

Isaiah 9 speaks of the humanity and deity of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was fully man and fully God.

Jesus experienced what it was like to be a human in every aspect but without sin.

Jesus experienced a human birth through Mary's womb.
Jesus knew what it was like to grow up as a child.
Jesus knew what it was like to learn a trade and to work with his hands to make a living.

Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Jesus knew what it was like to have brothers and sisters and to grow up in a family.
Jesus knew what it was like to suffer. He suffered emotionally. He suffered physically. Jesus suffered hunger. He suffered temptation. He was misunderstood. He suffered grief. He suffered abuse. He suffered betrayal. He suffered agony. He suffered death on the cross for our sins.

Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

The Maker of the earth came to the Manger on earth… some 2000 years ago.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Lord Jesus Christ manifested the invisible God on earth.
When people saw Jesus people saw God.
