Simon And False Professors

After Philip preached to the Samaritans and many were converted,Simon the Sorcerer went along with Philip but we find out for all the wrong reasons. Jesus said "if therfore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!" We see that it is not baptism that saves. Is the light that is in you true light or some other light based on deception which is really darkness?
