By Grace Are You Saved

Paul was a grace preacher. Grace rests on the top of the ladder in Ephesians. He extolled it in chapter one and exalted it in chapter two. What a sublime statement in 2:5 & 8: "by grace are you saved". Grace is the bestowal of a favor; in this case, the saving favor of God. God's grace is conditioned exclusively on Christ. He did all the obeying; the Father did all the saving.
