Paul's Lost Sorrowful Letter

The infant church in Corinth had encountered a situation requiring church discipline. But there was apparently some hesitance to discipline the wayward member. Paul's brief 'sorrowful visit' to Corinth did not result in rectifying the situation. So he wrote what has come to be known as the 'sorrowful letter', a letter now lost to us. Did that letter accomplish what his visit had not? Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians - chapters 2 and 7.
