Unauthorized Fire

Even amidst the joy, excitement and celebration of the inauguration of the Old Testament Priesthood, God struck dead Nadab and Abihu, two sons of Aaron, essentially for violating the Second Commandment of God's Law! Consequently, the lesson which we need to learn from this grievous experience is that lest we, too, desire to place ourselves in danger of experiencing the entirely just judgment of our holy, righteous God, by His grace we must flee to Christ in faith and out of gratitude for such a great and gracious salvation earnestly seek to avoid offering Unauthorized Fire to the Lord!
