God Over All

We talk about God's sovereignty, but what does that mean? Proverbs 21 is bookended by two sections dealing with this explicitly, while in the centre it addresses the messiness of life while reminding us that life's outcomes are from God, and so reflect his character. Wisdom is good because we live in a world governed by a righteous God, and while for a time the wicked may prosper, it is because God gives them rope enough to hang themselves.
